Hi Tigger and congrats on giving up the smokes! I quit recently too & now that I've found the right gear and juice for me, I can honestly say I prefer the whole experience of vaping way more than smoking

yw lenny, btw I got the 2mm not the 1mm...the stuff I have is 2mm deep and 3mm wide, perfect in the T3 and eVod so far, no extra "flavour" wicks needed.

Nice one Ian I actually trained in a Shaolin temple for 5 years in the mysterious & secret art of "Wick-Fu"! what atomizer are you using the ekowool in? and did you double up the 2mm or the 1mm ekowool?

good to know m8, I'm about re-wick my eVod's... I'll go for 4 coils instead of 5 around the ekowool and hopefully get around 1.8 like you

2 x 2mm might work, I was thinking of trying that myself before I got the ekowool, but as each loop of the coil will be bigger, you might find that the resistance of your coil is quite high (take longer to heat up/less vapour) especially if you're using 5 wraps of 0.20mm Kanthal. 2 x 2mm wick would probably be better with 0.30mm wire.

wanted to quickly mention here that with the braided wick, I haven't had a single drop of juice coming out the bottom of my T3 into the battery yet & I've vaped the whole lot down to the 0.8ml mark. with the normal 2mm wick, whenever I looked in the battery there would always be some condensation or little drops of juice in there..dry as a bone now.

nice one Will if you do get to re-wicking em try some 3mm silica wick (normal type) or 2mm ekowool (braided type). You shouldn't need the extra piece of wick on top & there won't be anything between you and the coil. I found with the extra bits of wick I was getting a bit less vapour/flavour and the odd dry hit...but better that than flooding.

Nice, what did you wind the coil around? the probe on my multimeter.. turned out to be just the right size, it's a fraction under 2mm wide. Great looking coil, very neat. thanks man and those are some very impressive O's is that vapour or a hit from a bong ?!

Ekowool arrived today so decided to have a bash at re-wicking a T3 As Dave said, it's a bit flat, but with a little gentle squeezing on the sides can easily be made tubular. I wound the coil first and then moistened the end of the wick and carefully thread it through the coil. as soon as it's in the coil it keeps it's round shape. I used Kanthal A1 0.20mm (5 wraps) I ended up with a resistance of about 2.5 Ohms, I'll probably only do 4 wraps next time cos I prefer it around 1.8 Ohms. primed with Eskimo and ready to vape :Dloving it so far and will definitely be using it in the eVod when my replacement heads arrive..

I just use one of these MultimeterCheap, works great Don't forget if you want to check the resistance of an atomizer, you have to touch the multimeter probes together first, measure the resistance of your probes/leads and then subtract that number from the overall resistance of your atomizer. Edit: Nevermind me (zzz) didn't know the Vamo had a built in resistance check.

couple of things I learned tonight about the eVod. 1. Dont screw your battery on too tight - you can split the little white/cream rubber tube that the battery post slides into 2. When re-wicking your eVod it's best not to pull that same little white rubber tube out from the battery end with tweezers/pliers too often - Again, it can split, or in my case the whole chunky ring part at the end popped off (the bit that stops the battery post from going in too far & touching the same part of metal the negative coil lead makes contact with) Instead of yanking it out with tweezers or pliers, push something in from the top (coil end) I used a wooden kebab skewer (like a giant toothpick) it will just pop right out. ps. don't even think about trying to rescue the little rubber tube with super glue, no matter how tiny a blob of it you use to try and repair the split..you will probably inhale a nice lung full of melting glue fumes lol well... this dumbass is off to order 2 more coil heads..
