I've just sampled a mix of Kent I've had steeping for over 3 weeks. When I first mixed it, I did it at 2%, tasted it next day and it seemed weaker than the premix I'd bought so I increased it to 5% and left it for over a week. On this test it wasn't like the caramelly toffee of the premixed, it had a liquorice twang to it so I diluted it down to approx2.5% and left it 'till tonight. It's now a smooth toffee taste. I've mixed it at 32mg 50/50. The description does state "It has a caramel, toffee twist in the taste" and start at 1%. The premix is exactly that taste so the liquorice seems to appear in higher % of flavour mixes.

If you mix Kent at 1 or 2% it's a sweet toffee caramel taste. I did try some at 5% and a liquorice taste does come through and it's not as nice as the low %

Off the top of my head I think you only have roughly 16% vg there.

Perpetua, do you need to add alter the % flavouring for a higher nic mix? Would you put the same % in a 36mg as in a 18mg?

I was having this problem with a new Vamo and after reading this thread I think problem solved. The cause of mine heating up at the top seems to have been 2 smoktech batterys. It seems to be fine with my old lava tube ones....lesson learnt

Flavour..Kent Strength.24mg Mix......50/50
This is described as Tobacco type with a caramel, toffee, twist in the taste.
Sometimes you buy a juice that doesn't deliver, this one does. It has a smooth sweet caramel toffee flavour. It reminds me of something but I just can't place it at the moment, something along the lines of a caramel toffee yoghurt or desert. None of the harshness some caramel juices have.
It may be a bit too sweet for some but I've just mixed some 50/50 with a tobacco juice that was a bit harsh for me in a Evod and hey presto...RY4 almost the same as the best I've ever had which was from TW a long time ago.
Good vapour, reasonable throat hit, though to be honest I've never had much throat hit from juices, I've only ever had 2 decent throat hits while vaping, when I was daft enough to drip diablo loco and bite extra in a l/r 306.
This is a nice juice on it's own and I can see it being good for mixing with other tobacco types too. It's available in 12 strengths from 0-24mg and is £2.40 for 10ml, £5.40 for 30ml.

Speaking as someone who is about as good at wick making as a sumo wrestler is at limbo dancing, buy a decent lr 306 atty. The're between £5-7 pounds but do a great job and I've not had one last less than 6 weeks yet.

I left the whole tops off, nipples included and had the bottles in a cupboard taking them out for a shake once or twice a day.

I don't know about the pg/vg levels but what I've found is that the amount of juice in a bottle makes a difference. I came across something Prof Beard wrote in may 2011 and decided to try it www.liberty-flights.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3026.0Decanting juice into a larger bottle, half filled does make a difference. I experimented by buying 50ml bottles of dekang and decanting some till bottle was half full and leaving some filled. The half filled bottles left with top off steeped a lot better and quicker.
