I decided to try making my first ever mix a couple of days ago and let it steep until now. The problem is it doesn't give much of a throat hit, much vapour or much flavour. I used an eliquid app to work from and the recipe is as follows: Nic 54mg pg base 56 drops Pg 32drops Vg 13 drops Flavour 25 drops
The nic is supposed to be 24mg The pg/vg is supposed to be 70/30% The flavour is supposed to be 20%
Can anyone tell me what i've done wrong to make it turn out so badly?

Most flavours are PG, seems you have counted it as VG? What flavouring is it as even tho the PG/VG is off still shouldn't be that bad - may need more steeping time.

work in mls, not drops...each bottle/dropper will be different, so you're not getting a truly proportioned mix. Try making 5ml by measuring in ml and see what happens

Off the top of my head I think you only have roughly 16% vg there.

Some flavours dont give off a lots of vape.
Ive recently mixed lemon&lime at 60/40 raspberry 60/40 with not much vapour production.
The others I mixed on the same day with the same base give off plenty.
What flavour was you doing?

What flavouring are you using Chris? I use drops for my flavouring, although I work on 30 drops to a ml which I believe is a more accurate measurement, so by my reckoning you've only added just over a ml. Don't be disheartened, for most of us it took a few attempts to get our first vapeable mix.

what was your target ml volume ... you have too much PG for the percentage split which might explain the lack of vapour. TH might be due to whatever atty you are using, you should get enough wit the amount of PG you have. Flavour could be due to the the actual concentrates you are using. Need more data ...

Yep- less vg than you planned, so less vapour. If you let it steep a bit longer the flavour might improve. Can't answer for the throat hit - nic level looks OK to me.

The flavour i'm using is black cherry from ecigwizard. I've downloaded a new app to my phone called eliquid calculator (penguin icon) and made a new recipe, could you cast your eyes over this new and hopefully improved recipe to see if i'm on the right track?
Base nicotine 54mg/ml Target nicotine 24mg/ml Target eliquid quantity 5ml Water percentage 0% Flavour percentage 20%
Calculate
Base liquid 2.2ml PG/VG 1.8ml do I split this to make the 70/30 mix? 1.26ml of pg (70%) 0.54ml of vg (30%) Water 0ml Flavour 1.0ml
I'm new to this and think i've gone wrong somewhere any help would be much appreciated.

Is your base nicotine pg or vg? Assuming your nic is pg and flavourings as well you will need 1.5 mls of vg. I'm fairly new to mixing as well, I'm sure someone will clarify tho.

The nicotine base is PG based but I dont know about the flavouring. Can you tell me how you got the calculations please. I'm guessing it's something to do with there already being pg in the mmix to start with (nicotine base and flavouring?)

Try these amounts [a href=" "]link[/a] (20 drops per ml) [a href=" "]link[/a] You may wish to consider adding a small amount of cream or Dulce De Leche for a creamy taste and or some Ethyl Maltol Sweetner

For an easy mix like that I used the mix calculator on the postmodern smoking website. Have a look, if you need a hand using it give me a shout.
