chykensaThe new file downloaded OK, so the above should work for you. Plus, breaktru , I copied Default.dft to my download location, hoping to suppress the error, which it did BUT, it started up with just the default template when I clicked on the downloaded file! When I open the downloaded file using EJMU, it works fine. Anything you can do, to allow the file to be correctly opened by double-clicking it from a non-standard location? Cheers! & while we're at it when EJMU regains focus, can you pull the nic-combine window to the front, as at the moment, it hides behind other open windows. It's still the best calculator out there IMHO though

chykensa - it gave me the error as well, when I tried to open it by double clicking. It's looking for a file called Default.dft. If I open the file from EJMU, it works OK, as Default.dft is in the 'correct' place. Maybe breaktru could code his next release to look in the default location as well as the location of the file for Default.dft? So, for now, try opening it from within EJMU, and make sure you're using the same or higher version than me. (If this pans out, you can stipulate version higher than 12.2.1.0 to download the .recs) Google drive.I'm guessing you've got one set up? OK- - drive.google.com
- Top left of screen, just to right of 'create' is an upload arrow - click
- Select file to upload
- In the popup upload box (bottom right) click share.
- Copy the highlighted link (this is the download link)
- Click 'change' next to private access
- I change it to "Anyone with link"
- Save
- Done
- Paste the link onto forum post

chykensa Probably a stupid error at my end - I had an unhandled exception last night, when one of the percentages was blank, I'll look into it in a bit. ..... Ahhh, what version are you using? Me 12.2.1.0 (with 7 flavours)

chykensa Andy, good job getting them all sorted As you're going to the effort of typing all the data into EJMU to make a card, could you possibly make it a clicky to a copy of the .rec file for the recipe? That way, we could download the .rec, and modify - It would save copying the data from one screen to another I'm sure we don't all use the same nic base & want the same strength & PG/VG ratio.

I got mine from one boots store - they only had 2, and charged me 35p each. Needed 5, so mrs. fred went to another store for 3 more, and was told 83p - she told them bollox - they're 35p. "Oh - that store mustn't have put their prices up yet - have them for 35p as well, then" I don't think they actually have a price - it's just made up on the spot?

Boots - childproof amber glass 100ml 35p each - ask for them at the pharmacy counter. They do 200ml as well, and other sizes.

I've only recoiled 2 heads so far, using 0.16 nichrome - not a problem. When I suddenly added wick & wire to an order several months back, all they had was 0.16 nichrome, so that's what I got. I don't really know what the difference between nichrome & kanthal would be. May try kanthal when my 5m has run out

One-stop-shop hereThinner wire, higher resistance (with the same number of coils) More coils, higher resistance.

Is this on your mech-mod with uprotected batteries?
What wick & wire are you using? What is the resistance of the rebuilt head?

TimboAnd as for the voltmeter that fiddles linked to above: robby did a post somewhere on putting one into a knackered vivi-nova - maybe you, or someone else can find the thread/post. You'd just need to screw it on to your mod to check voltage, but you need to solder the 2 wires to the 510 connector of the vivi.

The way I understand it, the only time you would have a problem with over-discharging, would be if you use an un-protected battery in a mech-mod. All other scenarios have some kind of electronics to avoid over discharge. Maybe someone will say I'm wrong, but at least we'll both know, one way or the other.
My Rivas stop before there is a problem. My mini-LT stops before there is a problem. A mech-mod with a protected battery should stop before there is a problem. A mech-mod with unprotected batteries would be at danger from other problems as well, so only protected baatteries should be used.

About time too. Can't we get an anti Tory paper to rip her to shreds? This the lady who studied law and trained to be a barrister. Barista more like. Stupid woman. Aye, and I bet she did that training with Mellow Birds.

Does anyone know what they make you do on the driving course? Up here, you have to sit in a room for 4 hours & listen to the dangers of speeding & watch a few videos & slides. My sister did it in Stevenage (or there abouts), and she had to drive on an airfield, go into the classroom & learn a bit, then go back to the airfield to show she'd improved. She also haad to paay nearly twice what I did. Mine was £63.46 (or something), which compared to a £60 fine & 3 points, it was a no brainer.
