sammy13 I always leave mine on. Yep - do what you said in the first post up there I think both chargers will be working fine, it's just 1 may squeeze a wee-bit more charge in. The best test will be seeing how long it vapes, after a charge on each charger. I know exactly how you feel, as I had battery woes when I started - turns out, nowt was really wrong at all.

scooter1 - due to the way a nova/evod/ce5/etc is recoiled, you will always have 1 more on the top than on the bottom. Count the wires on the pic mikeb linked - there are 5 crossing the top of the wick and 4 crossing the bottom of the wick. So - 5 on the top, 4 on the bottom. If someone says it has 5 coils, is that on the top or the bottom of the wick? That pic actually has 4 1/2 full coils, but that's even more confusing. So once it's coiled, you will have 1 more on the top than you have on the bottom

sammy13 - as the light turns green on the USB lead, does the battery light flash when using either charger? I would not be worried about overcharging an ego/riva battery, as I believe they have overcharge protection in them. Do as Des said - charge up with charger 1, note vape time, charge same battery with charger 2, note vape time. If there is discernable difference, use the charger that gives you the longest use To test this fred I just popped a battery which I believe is fully charged onto charger 1. USB light went red it charged for a few minutes then the battery light flashed maybe 15 times or so, and usb light went green. Is that good or bad? That's good - well, that's what mine do (2 different brands, & i think one does 10 flashes and the other does about 15) This is the battery saying "Woah - I've got enough charge at this intensity". Now - what happens when you put it on charger 2? I guess the USB light will be red? Now, you'll have to watch & see if the battery flashes, but only if it has been only fully charged on charger 1. If it's been fully charged on 2, run it down a bit, charge on 1, wait till battery flashes; charge on 2 and see if battery flashes again. If this is the case, I imagine that charger 2 is 'trickleing' more charge into the battery, & it will run for longer. You'll have to do the other test to double check - and my advise, until you have time to check it all out properly, would be use charger 2. The battery has its own protection circuit, so shouldn't overcharge Keep us posted, & Good Luck

I'm no expert coiler, but you've got nothing else yet,so- I do 4 on the top, 3 on the bottom, 0.16 nichrome round 2mm wick, and that comes out at about 1.9 ohms. Easy to fit that in a nova/vision ego (CE5)/evod. I thought the whole thing about variable wattage was that you get the same 'vape experience' no matter what resistance your atty? Sounds to me like somthing is awry, but as I said, I'm no expert

Has the slow-boat left yet? I hit the button 3 minutes ago on a Protank. Had to order her indoors some toothbrush heads as well, to make up the shipping.
Thanks everyone for the help - I will eventually try a DCT, but for now, the protank seemed like the better option for me.

Ahhh - sorry mate It's ok dude, Just to answer some of your original post anyway, I think you'll get more flavour from a carto in a tank, although the filler may "dampen" some of the flavour, the amount the ProTank air-ates the juice dilutes the flavour somewhat, although aniseed is one of those flavours you could vape through 10 metres of garden hose and still taste - lovely stuff can't wait to mix some up. I can see the pros & cons of both systems, but weighing up everything, that comment has just sold it to me. Ready to press the fire button on the Protank, unless djs wants me to steal his Is the Protank a similar kind of vape to an EVOD?

Carto tank vs Protank. No contest. Carto tank by miles. Cartos £1 each (£5 for 5) and get days and days out of them. More expensive? yes, obviously if you are re-wicking the Protank. If my house was raided tonight by e-cig shiny thieves, I doubt I'd even miss the Protank. So if you were to pretend you were raided, and actually send your Protank to me, then you still wouldn't miss it

Love it I opened mine earlier, only it wasn't one of those wee jars in the ad - It's a full on catering size plastic tub from Costco. Doesn't last long in this house But i wouldn't want to rehome a jar - you never know what might be lurking in it

A pyrex DCT won't dictate the flavour or the vapour production, that's dependant on the carto you put into it lol I suppose I did kind of ask that, but also kind of answered it: So the pertinent question was actually: Be quick - my finger is hovering over the fire button on the Protank mat the moment

I do like and use EJMU too but I'm just trying to understand how it calculates. I'm still unsure as to why it should be split exactly 50/50 irrespective of final ratios. I think I am either not understanding final ratios or just trying to be too precise!! Because that's the way it's coded If you think about it, if you add ANY vodka, you can not possibly achieve a 60/40 or 70/30 (or any other) ratio, as a certain percentage would be vodka,so you would end up with say : 70/25/5 PG/VG/Vodka. So that is not precise either Your best bet, would be to dilute your VG however you see fit, and forget about dilutents in your spreadsheet, as Perpetua said above. For the sake of being precise, then call it AVG/VVG rather than VG
