Okay, so I've been vaping for a while, from Skycigs through Joytech/Evods and Vamos' and VTR with rebuildables and drippers oh and a couple of Mech's along the way. So why then, after losing my little GUS16/Xplora do I find myself scouring the web for replacement 16mm mods and attys. It's as if I've come full circle by moving away from the bigger Mods. Agreed the vape from the Xplora was a world away from a skycig but that does not explain why looking at my collection of RBAs' and tanks I feel somewhat unfulfilled to put it mildly. There are not a lot of 14 series mods out there compared to 18 series. I've looked at the Dicodes Teleganos as a treat but even in 14500 with the electrics on top it sort of defeats the idea of a 14500 being stealthy or at least low profile. Ideas or suggestions ????

You just can't beat the build quality of old kit. The pillar drill is well worth keeping, even if the motor and bearings need replacing. They out perform the modern stuff by miles for accuracy. I rescued an old Table Saw and a Thicknesser both cast iron and converted them to single from 3 Phase. Lost a bit in power, but kept the motors as I will get a a decent rotary phase converter one day.

I think it's just become my ADV ... Give it a go ... I'll take it off your hands if you don't like it.

Thanks to Callum I received 4 RY4 flavours to review.
All juices are 70/30 12mg and were left to steep for a week then tested over a period of 14 days.
I used an Iclear 30s 1.5 ? on a VTR at 8.5W and an Xplora on a GUS 16 micro coiled @ 1.4 ? using rayon and Juwel filler.
1/ RY4 Deluxe. This was my ADV (All Day Vape) prior to this trial, so this is not a new flavour to me. Firstly it is a smooth vape, the throat hit is warm with no hint of harshness even after a full 10 second draw. The flavour is good with a slight hint of caramel but not too sweet. Both flavour and vapour were better using the Xplora but perfectly acceptable with the Iclear.
2/ RY4 Vanilla. This is very good!! the vanilla is there but there is something else in the background I can't identify. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but I wish I knew what it was. Again a smooth vape, almost creamy, perhaps slightly warmer than the Deluxe. Vapour and flavour was more enhanced with the Xplora.
3/ RY4 Caramel. Very pronounced flavour, the caramel overpowers the RY4 with its' sweetness. I could only use this for a short time before reaching that point where I was looking for a cleansing drink. Yet again it's smooth and warm with no harshness. I found that this juice 'clogged' the coil in the Xplora far more than any of the others!
4/ RY4 Nutz. If you take the chocolate away from the old Topic bar and munch the inner filling then you have this juice, a pronounced hazelnut flavour. Much like the Caramel, I found I could not vape this for too long without getting the 'coated' tongue feeling. As with all these juices it's smooth and warm with plenty of flavour and vape production in both devices. Of all of the juices this is my least favorite.
Overall a very good collection of juices and even though I have been a little negative about 2 don't let that stop you from giving them all a trial. I will find room for all of them in my juice collection. I have tried a lot of RY4's from loads of vendors but even the worst of this collection (in my opinion) is streets ahead of anything else I have tried!!
Okay, on to the scores. I used all the juices in both devices in the same locations to get a full picture. I tested these juices while on holiday and in temperatures from 18 to 33 Deg C. The juices became considerably less viscous at the higher temps but I suffered no leaks in either device at any time. However I am convinced the flavours were more pronounced in the heat of the day.
I was surprised at my findings being convinced that I would put the Deluxe at the top but no, it was beaten into 2nd place
1st Vanilla ***** 2nd Deluxe **** 3rd Caramel *** 4th Nutz **
As an aside, the family were not overly impressed with the Caramel and Nutz in the confined space of the car and caravan but were happy with the others, (however all were judged to be far better than my old habit of Marlboro (Red) and Gauloises).
Thanks Callum ... I shall be ordering Deluxe and Vanilla shortly.

VTR all the way for me ... I suffered a 510 thread failure but managed to repair/bodge what would have been a fatal problem ... Use the airflow controller!!
It's about as stealthy as a Nuclear air strike and will do as much damage to whatever you drop it on but it will survive and you won't snap off the atty when you put it in your back pocket and then sit on it.

I'll be clever, I thought, I'll take a small mech mod with me on our little 17km jaunt down the River Ardeche in canoes. So I put my Gus16 and Xplora into a waterproof bag around my neck and off we paddled. Great fun was being had, until the last set of minor rapids we (my eldest boy and daughter 18 & 14) were rammed port side aft and wedged against two rocks. No problem until morons in the other boat tried pushing off against us. They managed to turn us over throwing my son over the rock into a sheltered area but my daughter and I ended up under the boat where the current rushing through the gap in the rocks swept us about 70 mts through the rapids. My son lost his camera my daughter lost her watch both torn from their wrists and my beloved Gus / Xplora was also lost to the waters. I hope the Water God's are happy cos I ain't!! Damn good thing I wasn't carrying the VTR, I'd never have got off the bottom!!

Fabulous pics lairey...even if the planes look kinda close They were really close, the sound, particularly of the Vulcan, was immense, you could feel the vibrations through your rib cage! Did the Typhoon close it's display by climbing straight up on Afterburners? Now that is LOUD!!

Just arrived, thank you Callum.
I will let them steep for a week, then test over a period of 10 days. I intend to try each one in a dripper an Iclear 30s and my Xplora all at the same power on a regulated device.
As I am already a fan of the Deluxe, being one of only two juices I use (at the moment), I am seriously looking forward to trying this selection.
