They're producing a lot of vapour, you think they use mostly PG or VG in their engines Sadly I've never been to one of these shows but would love to one day. Great photos

Great photos Oh, they're definitely VG heavy vape trails Unfortunately I can't take credit for the photos, they were taken by another friend, my photography skills aren't anywhere near that good

Great pics lairey! I love a good airshow, we have RNAS Culdrose 10 miles from us and their show is always good, although a few too many helos for me (but there again, they are the RN 'Copter training school, so I suppose that's to be expected!). We have a few regular visitors like the Red Arrows, a WWII Catalina, and the full range of Naval helicopters; Gazelle, Lynx, Sea King (various variants), Merlins, etc. There is also the FRADU** based at Culdrose so we see their Hawks some years, and always a few noisy European visitors. I was sat in the visitors enclosure, located at one end of the main runway, eating my sarnies a few years back when I noticed that the lowlevel traffic lights had turned red, stopping vehicles crossing the perimeter road at the head of the RW, meaning something was heading in. Just a Hawk or two arriving back, I thought. I glanced south to see what was lining up, and it was something small, sleek, and rather fast and unstable by the way it was wobbling in the thermals off the ground. Next thing, an Eurofighter blasted towards the runway, nosed up a few degrees, and shot down the runway line in full afterburners about 30' off the ground. It then proceeded to run through its display in cloudless skies, before taking a downwind leg, turning and lining up before executing the same bird-scarer routine and then climbing out of sight - vertically!! The irony of the situation was that at the Airday the following week, cloud-base was so low that even the Red Arrows had to cancel - we could hear them circling overhead looking for a gap in the overcast, but to no avail. The Eurofighter was nowhere to be seen - it was Dutch, and didn't even bother taking off from Holland! ** FRADU - Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit - basically, a Hawk has the same radar profile as an Air-to-Sea missile, so they RV with RN vessels in the Western Approaches or the Channel and fly at them to mimic incoming missiles, giving the radar ops something to do. Nice little job, the pilots are all retired RAF mostly, and they might fly 4 or 5 sorties a week, weather dependent. They pride themselves in taking off in as close a formation as possible, 3 at a time, to show off to the Fish Heads.

I know you said you didn't take them but kudos to whom ever took the pics laireyI have tried many times and get a dot or a blur Hope you had a fantastic time. I love aircraft, I'm not technical about is like some of these guys on here, but I just love them The Vulcan has always been my fave, followed by the harrier, and for display purposes the red arrows are so amazing.
