Especially for ronaldo, but anyone really......off to bed soon, MVP is almost dead......safe to leave charging overnight? Have charged quite a few times no heat on charger, lead or MVP etc etc etc. or is it just too big a risk? oh, and my flavours seem to be reappearing.......at long last

Its always better to be on the side of caution.
I wouldn't advise leaving anything charging overnight.

If you have to, put it on a ceramic plate cover it with a biscuit tin with a weight on it, not close to anything flammable. Just rick reduction, of course not charging it unattended would be risk avoidance and I think the risk is very small thousands of these are charged all the time and I don't remember any fires, but the consequences are big.

I never leave anything on charge and go to sleep of course its your choice but the way I look at it is everything works properly until it gets its first defect but when is that defect going to happen 1 years time 1 months time or 4am in the morning if you can answer that you are a better man than me

Well, I'm off to bed, and it's not going on charge However, I do regularly charge the iPad and/or phones overnight. I know, makes no sense but have to do them sometime, there just aren't enough hours in a day otherwise Night peeps, thank you for your help, once again. Great place this

I wouldn't see an issue with it, I know it's not recommended too but I wouldn't worry about fires, just overcharging! Probably best not too anyway, just in case. But have a good sleep

Put it in a bowl of water, that way it won't catch fire....no, hang on a mo, there's a fundemental flaw in that idea, somewhere

One method of rick reduction is to use a timer between the charger and the socket. or if charging from a PC, set the PC to shut down. Risk still there, but smaller. Make sure timer can handle the current you charger draws though, and operates reliably.

Oh god ...! I must be a reckless crazy person ... Every night I go to bed there's a couple of iPads, couple of iPhones and about 3 or 4 18650s on charge ..... But I also walk under ladders
If I could only charge them whilst I'm in the house but not asleep they'd never get charged at all...

I used to smoke in bed and never started a fire, so does that make it safe?
