UPDATE, I have just had an email from The Hinkler saying that they do allow the use of e-cigs in their pub steve386 this might be of interest if you have got a list of Southampton pubs that allow e-cigs

My family are moving across from Redbridge to Thornhill in August and I was wondering if anyone knew if my new local accepts e-cigs? My new local is going to be The Hinkler on Hinkler Road

Glad I shared my idea for me I used the idea as my lock screw kept coming off the threads when locking the switch little did I know that it would also assist with the throw, it had turned my cracking mod into my everyday mod

I have nearly always used sealed bottom RBA's and they have always been dry as well before going on to RBA's I was using genuine Vivi Novas which never leaked either. I have had times where I had been holding onto my Vamo too long and the battery has got warm but always cooled down nicely when I put the Vamo down and you are in mode 2 Gavin? The vamo can throw out a lot of volts when it is in mode 1. Apart from that I dont know any more ??? Yeah sorry forgot to put that, I have always been on NO2 since I have had my Vamo as I didn't like the variable output of NO1

Possible juice leak through the grommet around the connector, it has happened before Are you definitely in mode 2? gavincol78I have nearly always used sealed bottom RBA's and they have always been dry as well before going on to RBA's I was using genuine Vivi Novas which never leaked either. The electronics in the Vamo has proved to be robust and reliable, there are many thousands of them out there. If there was a short in your atty the Vamo would have shut down because it would have been under 1.2 ohms. Maybe you had a leak through the top connector and that was causing a low resistance path inside the Vamo. Thats the thing I have had shorts where by the ohms dropped from 1.9 ohm to <1.1ohm with a Lo ohm and no rattlesnake, when you say leak do you mean electrical leak or juice leak as my 510 area has always been dry

If you had read my statement correctly I clearly put that my issue was down to wick and coil setup and not my vamo, Interesting, how does that cause a rattlesnake effect inside the vamo? That I really have not figured out maybe a short was happening in the atty which was not agreeing with my Vamo and looking at a Vamo PCB the 'rattlesnake' noise would of been coming from the voltage regulator board directly behind the LCD/button PCB. All I know is that when I redone the coil that rattlesnake noise stopped Sorry that may of gone slightly off-topic but could show in a way how sensitive the voltage regulator and pcb in a Vamo is. So maybe there is a heat transference from the voltage regulator to battery if the heat is coming from that end and not the spring end, where as if it is the spring end then there could be problem with the spring causing too much resistance

Vaporbreak do not knowingly sell dud Vamos as does no other vender. They wouldnt remain a vender very long if they did. The springs are the new springs and have been for a couple of months now. Probably more than 50% of venders sell clones of different bits of vaping gear. Vaporbreak`s Vamos are not clones. The springs in the Vamos from Vaporbreak are "proper" springs, and we know the differences between buying from China and buying from the UK and we know the risks involved in doing so. You appear to have a rattlesnake sound from your Vamo bought in the UK yet in the same paragraph say you have had "no problems" with it . Please get your facts right before posting as it can lead to all sorts of misunderstandings gavincol78 We are not novices here Gavin. I`m off to bed If you had read my statement correctly I clearly put that my issue was down to wick and coil setup and not my vamo,

I have a question, have you ever noticed a 'rattlesnake' sound coming from behind the LCD whilst you are powering an atty?
I got my Vamo from vapeescape.co.uk in January and have had no problems especially as I ordered mine straight after they got the new springs in but on the odd occasion when I have built a SS mesh wick and .20mm kanthal 1.6 ohm coil and there may of been a slight fault with the setup (wick and coil) I would get a 'rattlesnake' noise from the vamo as if it was shorting, yet when I then correct the wick and coil the noise goes.
Also the Panasonic batteries your using are they the CGR18650CH's which are an IMR hybrid if you are using the NCR18650's then it maybe the batteries overheating because they are not IMR/Hybrid's.
Also looking on VaporBreak I would rather cautious as they seem to sell clones and make no note that they are clones so if I was you get yourself a proper spring from vape escape and then retry if it is still the same then VaporBreak have sold you a dud vamo and in which case get 1 from the UK and not from China

Not planning on using the Vamo full size mate. The Vamo looks sweet in 18350 mode thats how I have had it until I got my 18350 mechanical mod (Smok Sidewinder from vapingthings.com £32.99) As for savings the ONLY savings I account for with vaping and that is the saving to my health and you can't put a price on health. Some people can get away with spending little on vaping yet others can and do OTT on expensive mods and atty's but it all boils down to staying off of cigarettes. Btw it sounds like you have a kit there I was just over 2 months into vaping when I turned to rebuildables which may or may not be everyones cup of tea

Thanks all, I have the opinion especially with kids why spend out £70-£100+ on an atty when a cheap £15-£30 one would be just as good minus the long wait for a individually hand crafted atty. It took me a short while to get the hang of the RBA's especially using SS mesh with the AGA's (hotspot heaven) that is why I want a RSST with it's insulated wick hole and bottom-sealed tank which means the only shorts will happen around the coil rather then the tank or decks. bomberharris I started vaping around 3 weeks before you did

My name is Gavin and I live in Southampton, This looks to be a good forum, I am new here but been vaping now almost 6 months started on a cheapo 10motions disposable then went over to an eGo (2 eGos) within 5 weeks of using an eGo I went over to a LT 3 weeks later I went to a Vamo. then for my 35th birthday I started on RBA's with 2 AGA T2's, 2 AGA S's and a Phoenix dripping atty then within a couple of weeks got my first mechanical Sigelei Telescope and the quality was ok but I had to adjust it a little. Then just before Easter I got myself my 2nd mechanical mod a rather nice Smok Sidewinder in 18350 size. My joining to this forum started with joining a co-op for the Dream Drawtube which was started by maccafan which will make my 3rd mechanical mod and now I am having to adjust some funds (due to new baby due next month) to get myself a RSST.
