I built mine using mesh so not a lot of help, but sounds like the wick wasn't saturated enough, must have been hot to flame though.
Never had a protank coil flame either even when dry burning.

I did think about a syringe, but with kids about and the missus not quite getting the vaping thing probably not a good move, she'd think I was on hard stuff! It was bad enough the first time she saw my vape case with my first ego tank set up |

I firstly apologise for all my posts over the last few days, I tend to go through spells of lots of questions!
I'm looking for some 20ml needle tip bottles. I've looked on ebay but can't see them (probably my rubbish searches!) but I'm sure someone can tell me the best place to shop!

I have the protank 1 which I regularly recoil. I have noticed the burning on the gromit but does not affect my flavour. I have found a good build to be 2mm or 2.5mm silica doubled and the wrap the coils 4 times with. 20 kanthal. I have found the doubling of the wick soaks up more juice and there is double surface area for the wire so no dry hits. I have found this to be far better than the single wick and it removes the need for the extra flavour wick.

Sounds to me like the female thread may not have been cut to sufficient depth, or is faulty At the deep end. On the Magneto? If it is I'll get in touch with the vendor on Monday and see about a replacement it's really annoying! Thanks for the advice, I love this forum, everyone is always so helpful |

The centre screw is adjustable, just turn it anti clockwise, if you carefully Take the coil wire off first then you ill probably get way with tucking it back in After you have it adjusted. and congrats on the coil, the first is always special, so I would enjoy it for a a it before risking the adjustment. Thanks markm, the problem seems to be the threads between the rsst and the magneto, it just wont screw down. Almost like the thickness/depth of the threads, as a vendor have you heard of this before? Its so frustrating as it looks mint when ive seen it screwed fully down |

Thanks guys, am really enjoying the quality if the vape, and the flavour is amazing, so much more than my protank, I just wish I could carry it around with me all day, but it's not really pocket friendly!

Omg I've done it. Got the rsst working on the Magneto. Got a massive gap because it won't screw down but screwed down the centre pin so it connects (needs must!)
So first wick with 500 mesh and. 2 kanthol. Took ages to pulse to get it glowing properly (and 4 popped coils due to too high a battery charge) but got there and then filled. Produces sooooooo much vapour and boy is it a smooth vape. Flavour is better too.
I read loads of posts on here to get me there so thanks to everyone that has commented on a rsst coil thread you've all helped me take my next step on the vape ladder!
Now I've just got to sort out why it won't screw done properly.

I'd be interested how you get on, my RSSTwon't screw down its like they have different threads. Protank is fine, and the rsst fits fine on my Vamo. Very strange :-(
