I like my t3, the vaping experience improved tremendously when I recoiled it at 1.8 ohms. It's all horses for courses, all depends on personal experience. Reading the threads it seems that there's always somebody who thinks something is great and somebody else who thinks it is "not very good"

Even if the battery has had it's day there's still something there or the led wouldn't flash so the charger light should go red. The charger doesn't care whether the battery is charging or not, it's the ego pcb that controls the charging so to me it sounds like a dodgy connection. If you've got a test meter you could try measuring the battery output, should be 3+ volts when it needs charging. If it reads zero then there's a connection problem inside the ego. Also I've found that sometimes my batteries don't charge so I unscrew them a little and away they go. It would seem that too tight is as bad as too slack. (The usb spec is 500ma. at 5v but some usb ports on pcs/lappys don't give that so chargers won't work. )

Until i get paid (spent tooo much already) if I can't up the voltage I'll reduce the ohmage, not as good but as a beginner it works for me, 3.3v at 1.8 ohms is pretty good. (The AAEC sig banner is supposed to show how much I've saved. What it's really showing is how much I've spent on vaping but apart from a vv battery I should only need to buy concentrates for the next few months)

dave, it's a shame they didn't keep using the regulated circuits but I suppose things move on.

dave, that's what puzzled me.. It couldn't be a Joytech snuck out of the back door of the factory so it's a bit of a bonus. Pity it wasn't fixed at a higher voltage.

I'm thinking of sticking it on a bigger mah battery, it's only 2 wires to solder so easy peasy and it runs my T3 at 1.7 ohms quite nicely.

Been trying that just now robby, the only multiple click that does anything is the 5 click off. getting a sore thumb It's weird but not a problem, it vapes consistently until the red led flashes so no gurgles.

Very strange. I've heard of ego-c but thought the c stood for cartridge or something. Holding the button down when it's switched off doesn't do anything, maybe it's a faulty c type that's stuck in fixed voltage mode so gets put in the cheapos?

When I started vaping I bought one of those blister packs from a local newsagents, this had a black ego type 650mah battery. Out of curiosity I measured the voltage on it when running down (red led flashing) and also when fully charged,. I was surprised to find that it was the same for both readings, 3.2v. Obviously I've got some kind of regulated battery but I'm puzzled as to how this ends up in a no name (Ezee Quit) pack? Also it has 2 different coloured leds behind the button, red and blue. If it's regulated shouldn't I be able to change the voltage somehow?

I've had 2 of these, when one burnt out I took it apart. The tube with the holes slides off to reveal a long wick and can be repaired. (not tried it yet, waiting for the wire). The versions I've got have round holes but I've seen one with elongated holes so that may be the mesh one. There is also a later version that has a replaceable coil. Different places call them different things, CE3/4/5...version 1,2,3 etc. They are pretty good but you should be thinking about something better (and easier to replace coils). Oh, and welcome from one newbie to another. Mike.

Hi Mike, and welcome to the forum. As you have no doubt discovered by now, you have hit upon a veritable goldmine of useful information and guidance. I know this because I have to tap into it on a regular basis!! Andy I'm shortly going to be in possession of a mixing kit courtesy of 28vapeslater so I'll be in the mixing section quite a lot. Also I keep seeing shiny things and I want them all! Mike.
