Ok this is ridiculous.
The vamo thats been broken for 6 months, that gives the most pathetic amount of vape for about an hour before dying for weeks again, the one I replaced tbe grommet and added an o ring to the other day and it was still knackered
...its just started working again!
Not 100% though. Cant go much over 3w or 3v before it burns anything, but.....its alive!

Super-Shiny Same goes with soldering irons. don't have one, dont think i know anyone who does! I used that video for what I've already done. the evod grommet idea sounds worth a try though!

svd can be a defective board but if you can pull the center pin up clear of the 510 connector make sure you have the wire still connected get a small piece of stiff polythine the type they make windows in a cardboard box cut polythine into a 2cm circle then with sissors cut half way through the circle if you are still with me slide the cut into the wire of the 510 connector that way it cant short out get a circuit tester set it to DC current 12v and under connect red wire to center pin and black wire to 510 body if you are till with me press fire button and tell me what voltage it says ronaldo I tried my best to follow you mate but you lost me at polythine windows. You're talking to the guy who got a D in GCSE electronics because I couldn't make my doorbell the size of a shoebox work! I understand wood, electronics was all downhill when they said 'logic gate' I'll try and find someone with a bit more knowledge than me (and ideally a circuit tester) to do what you said. Either way, I managed to shear part of the spring loaded centre post off the thing today, so its probably best it goes back! can you fix v2 vamos though? I'm 97% certain its a circuitry issue.

Its had a right good clean down, still nothing. Has anyone had experience of getting fasttech to expedite things? When I was shopping for the svd I remember seeing a uk vendor selling the head only with no tubes for about £20. Of course I cant find it now. This ring a bell with anyone? Hopefully once he's done installing the trident system and the godzilla defences ronaldo could fix the vamo. Till then, back to the crap egos

Well, ive tried the carto grommet, the one from my broke vamo, bought heat shring wrap and o rings from b&q, nothing.
Does anyone have advice on how to get this sorted from fasttech as quickly as possible? Theyre gonna want a postage quote, then I'll have to send it, wait for them to get it then wait another month for the replacement to arrive! Second mod ive had off them that lasted less than 6 months. They should be fedexing a new one free of charge straight away.
Ive tried all these fixes on my vamo too but no joy. Is there anyone on the boards a bit more electrical who fixes them?

Had it for 5 weeks. That lasted!
Im getting a 0.0 ohm reading and a 5 second red button every time I try and fire my SVD. Ive tried every battery ,evod, protank and iclear30 I have and it happens on all of them.
Ive taken the centre post and grommet out and everything seems to be ok. The soldering is fine, the grommet is a little brown on top but still intact.
Ive read a few bits and a video about replacing the grommet but I dont have a clue where or what o-ring I should get And I dont have any cartos I can take a grommet out of.
Anyone got any thoughts? If I can be told where to buy an o-ring and which one, and the same with shrink wrap and how to fit it ill give it a go. Could it be anything else causing the short?
*UPDATE* just tried the fire button without anything on the svd and it fires but obviously get a 'non' display. The next logical move was to hold an evod in my teeth and quickly screw it on while firing. I got it to work, but even as low as 2 watts its like burnt plastic arse!

Not the biggest in the world but for price and easy recoil you cant go wrong with evods IMO. buy a 10 pack from fasttech, 5 extra heads, some kanthal and cotton wool balls and you're set for ages

I always call BS when I hear the argument that ecigs glamourise smoking and encourage children to start smoking, nearly threw my svd at the welsh health minister on itv news, but im starting to thing its a double edged sword.
The more shops I see opening, the more people I see vaping and theyre not all adults. There was a big group of teenages I'd bet were about 14 in the liberty flights shop in Liverpool at the weekend. I doubt at that age theyre trying to get off the stinkies. Are ecigs really becoming a new trend for them?
Any responsible shop shouldn't be selling to children. Kids with ego's is gonna ruin it for everyone
