Hello all, I'm looking for another little 16mm mod for work if anyone has one they'd care to part with. I have cash ready or possibly I can trade for something. Thanks J.

I broke the 510 pin on my Fasttech KFL as soon as it arrived :/ I took it apart to clean and when I put it back together the pin just snapped. They are very weak it seems, so becareful if you're adjusting it It should unscrew a little though, but check that it doesn't leave the block on top of the deck too loose as this might cause a short.

Might I suggest one of these lovely little mods, on special offer right now I think. Ships from Poland and works out about 44 Euros including shipping. shop.jmmods.eu/jm16-ss-p-11.htmlThe G16 is also a nice likkle mod, but with these jm16s at sale price right now, it seems a shame to miss them

Hybrid Dripper by Andy at LuxeMods. Fits any 20 x 1 threaded mod. Bought from C9V two months ago, rarely used. In good condition, but with some small marks on adjustable battery pin. With spare o-rings. RRP £68.95 I would like £55 all in. Thanks for looking and a Happy Monday to you all! Bez for President!

The colour changed remarkably but its functionality has been seriously diminished

I'll add that I've had good success just with a blow torch. you just need to rotate the piece so as the heat is evenly spread and be ready to stop as soon as it reaches the shade you want, as it changes rapidly!

From what I have read, the final colour depends on the temperature reached and goes through a known cycle. If your oven settings are reasonably accurate then you should be ble to set it and leave it without worrying too much about messing it up. Of course this is THEORETiCal and will depend on other factors such as steel quality and heat transfer etc. This thread from another forum is very useful and post #43 gives a colour / temperature guide. www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cosmetic-mods/409130-heat-treatment-torching-color-stainless-steel-titanium-5.htmlPS.. Mods, hope it's ok to link to another forum, if not feel free to remove.

The Orieco Storm RDA seems like a goodun at a good price...but impossible to get hold of at the minute... I'd guess it would be a popular item to stock

yeah , sorry I seem to have mis -informed you a little the vase is only to show the type of voids thst will need to be filled the resin will be mixed with a colour and then applied to the mod might be sqare( ish) in shape but nor decided on final design yet Should be easier then, if it's square. Just block up the inside of the voids with something that has a release agent on it, then pour the resin into the voids and let it cure. You would probably mix up a little bit of each colour at a time and work your way around, filling and letting it set. Then remove whatever you used to block the insides. Not sure if that makes sesne, but it does in my head

This is the type of thing and I want to fill all the voids with clear casting resin mixed with different coloured powders Hope the link works? Sorry, I didn't see this reply before! It looks like an interesting project, if a bit tricky! It's not really what I expected when you said it was for a DNA mod At first glance, I would guess you need to fill each section individually, as you want to use different colours. Is the inside of the vase hollow? One way would be to take casts of each of the "holes", make moulds and recast in coloured resin of your choice. This WOULD be time consuming and laborious! Another way, (which I would favour, but can't be sure if I don't have the piece in my hands) would be to coat a long balloon in vaseline, insert it into the vase, blow it up, put the vase on one side and slowly work your way around it, pouring in colours as you go, where you want them. Pigments can be added to Jesmonite to give almost any colour you want, as well as giving metallic or stone type finishes. Do one side at a time and allow an hour or so for each part to cure before turning it round and doing another side. Hope this helps! If I can think of another way to do it, I'll let you know

I've used Jesmonite quite a bit in the past, also fibreglass in various forms, and Crystal Clear 101 resin for a one off large scale cast. Jesmonite and fibreglass are commercially available but 101 is not as far as I'm aware, however it's mainly for industrial, large scale use anyway. It's quite easy to set up for jesmonite casting at home, some other resins require a bit more equipment and planning. If you give me an idea of what you hope to do, I can try to help you out. J

A sand bucket is the way forward. Bury it in sand or earth if possible. Water might not help with a venting lithium battery and could make things worse. I like the "throw it far away" idea, but this wouldn't be a great idea if you're in a busy street, or driving or sometig like that. I guess the best advice is to make sure everything is well maintained and operated safely. I'm sure there are those more knowledgable than me on the subject, on this forum... but that's my best advice
