Had a salesman in the office today and he saw me take a toot on mine. He said he saw the programme and he said it was interesting that it's much much safer than smoking. Then he said only one person dieing in 4 years, Better than 100,000 a year from smoking.
So not everyone is getting a bad impression.

It was over on the Pit, one of the members had a pedigree puppy, very young, I think it could have been a Pug. Ate a 10ml bottle, and unfortunately was dead in I think 4 hours. Maybe wrong on this but didn't Dave Dorn drink a 24mg bottle of Eliquid on VTTV the other week ? He is still here to tell the tale.......... A grown man is much bigger than a little puppy. I expect the same might happen if the puppy ate a whole packet of bensons.

You don't need to have a license to buy a car though or sell one Perhaps everyone selling cars should be licensed? In fact you get more hassle from a shop when you buy a tv asking if you have a tv license than you do when buying a car from a dealer. I also mentioned that the unfortunate incident where the guy died was a long time ago when knowledge was much less than we have now. Again, that would have been something worth mentioning in the programme, although they did say it's the only death they could find that has been linked to e-cigs. My point is, they could have included much more, it was tit for tat, they/he has to include a balanced view. Putting accross one side only would maybe cut the viewers by half. I agree, they could have done with mentioning that knowledge has greater availability now. But still, that wouldn't make very good TV would it? Much better to sensationalise both sides. I think anyone who believed that there would be an in depth analysis in half an hour was kidding themselves. No one I know isn't still learning when it comes to vaping. And we've been doing it longer than they've been studying it. 2010 isn't really a long time ago. (I'm going to be ruthless here) You die tomorrow, how long do you expect people to remember you? Less than 4 years? I do agree but I do feel there seemed to be more negative stuff without information for people to form a balanced opinion for themselves. 2010 was a long time ago in vaping terms as i think [edit] I [/edit] pointed out, people were not as clued up as they are now - there wasn't the level of info available then as we have now, and the vaping world was more of a DIY scene without the availability of juice that is free from oil products.

ukric anything can be dangerous if mishandled - driving a car for starters. Yep, and if they were doing a documentary on cars, I'd expect them to include something on car accidents, brakes failing etc, and road safety You need a licence (and now some basic knowledge about cars as well) to drive legally. You don't need one to buy an ecig. All I'm saying is your stance may be correct now, but this was 2010? It's not beyond the realms of all possibility that someone used essential oils to flavour their liquid. You don't need to have a license to buy a car though or sell one Perhaps everyone selling cars should be licensed? I must say on the whole there was more positive from the program. But in my opinion the couple of minutes showing the woman claiming ecigs killed her husband because they contained "oil" did more damage than we could ever imagine. Why was there no counter argument to assure her there is no oil in ecigs. I fully agree and said something similar before. But now thinking about it, it could come across as insensitive to counter her to her face that responsibly made juice contains no oil, and that it could also seen to be the same by saying it in a clip directly after.
However, it would have been good to have mentioned somewhere in the program what main ingredients are used in juice and that none are known to present any health problems being ingested by swallowing. Obviously there is still no conclusive evidence to say that there is a danger by inhaling atomised vapour made by heating the substances, but the fact that it can all be safely swallowed and contains no oil would have gone a long way.

Balanced? LOL... Can't even get the diagram of a cigalike correct.. We vape oil that kills us? 15 countries have banned it, but not mentioned nearly all of them are renowned for bribery and corruption. Claim little is known about the ingredients, but not actually tell anyone what all the ingredients are. Interviewing a shop owner making spurious, outlandish claims about ecigs, yet ignore 99% of sensible vendors who wouldn't dream of it. I will think of more when I'm making coffee..... Make it a strong one Dolly, I'm just gonna do the same! Careful guys - coffee contains caffeine which is possibly just as bad as nicotine, and handling boiling water has been proven to be a scalding risk, therefore should be banned

The fact that it was linked to a condition where there is oil deposits in his lungs is what gets me. I guess he could have vapid something bad, all that time ago there will have been much less info on what we definitely should not be vaping, but to publish that and not balance it with some kind of research as to what is in most, if not all juice is ver very wrong. Now people will think its oil and unsafe for the user and bystanders.

To add something actually useful to this thread Tease-smiley actually probably not much use as Mr. Dolly now wants a SS one...
I got a brass clone and it looks great with the tarnish on it, but it smells a bit, a metallic smell that's not really great for me, I don't know if copper would also have a slight niff also. The SS don't seem to have any smell. I didn't notice any increase in conductivity over the SS one i have. So now i've swapped bits and have a nice two-tone one

You got your shiny toy, let him have his Can't go far wrong with a Nemmy clone. Oh I know! I was being very much tongue in cheek. After what he paid out for my toy I couldn't deny him anything to be honest! Thing is, after today's EU news we will need a few more options to keep us going for when they ban the big mods. You can deny him 'some' things - that's a ladies prerogative

When I suggested unprotected batteries, I was assuming that the battery used would be an IMR, not an ICR. That is a good point FFS.
