I generally won't vape inside a lot of places like shops because really, you're not in there for all that long, soon you'll be back outside where no-one could complain unless you are directly upwind of someone eating a pasty or kids. (not eating the kids of course, they are a bit chewy). If I go to a pub that won't allow vaping I'll just go somewhere else. If they do I still semi stealth, people tent to look when you start blowing clouds.
I collected my son from his school recently, all the parents have to wait in the playground until they let the kids out. I won't vape while waiting even though it's outside. Once my son came out, I had a vape when we got out of the gates and i heard a little voice say 'what's that smell daddy?' - i looked around and a guy had his little girl on his shoulders and was directly downwind. I felt so ashamed that I'd done it. He didn't say anything, maybe because the look of horror on my face was enough for him.

I saw that it was a kayfun The kick likely won't give out anything at all without a coil as it is only seeing an open circuit (unless it's broken). Which is why I said to have the coil in the atty. Yes, you have to fire the Nemi or you won't get anything to read out (you do have 3 hands, right?) The link to the meter don't work for me, but set it to volts DC, sometimes it will be a V with a little symbol next to it which is a solid line above a dotted line. You could always try V ac which will have a symbol like a sideways 'S' (a sine wave). If it isn't auto ranging, you will have a bunch of numbers you can select similar to the ohms part. Set it to the lowest number (probably 200). It does not matter which way round the probes are, you will kist see a minus reading instead of positive which is fine. You can check the meter is reading volts dc correctly by whipping a battery out of a tv remote and testing that (don't do it with an 18650 just in case it gives a dead short due to being buggered). Mess around with the settings on the meter until it reads around 1.5v on that battery, then you are good to go on the atty.

Before anyone tells me to be careful, I have been. Has anybody else used salvaged 18650's. I've just got 4 laptop batteries, each contain 8 18650's. Making 32 batteries in all. I've only dismantled one, but all are the same, unused. The label said 14.8v 4300mah-4x2 in series(I think). I stripped the casing off and seperated the cells, and I am now trying out 4 of them(2x vaping, 2x charging). They work great. Have been using them for 4 days now. Am I dicing with death? When something goes wrong, what will happen?-we just punctured one in the garden to see and I am happy with that if it happens, shorted 2 and that was less-was expecting a bang or spark, just a kind of meltown, lots of heat. The ones I am using to vape are working like troopers. Any thoughts would be appreciated- except "be careful", because I have. Cheers. Someone posted this link up before www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?246699-Tutorial-Laptop-Battery-Pack-18650-ExtractionHad a good read through and it seems to be be very though.

um.. is the coil 2 ohms? if so, then yes, you should see 3.6. If you see 4.2 with a fresh battery, it beef-hooked Saying that though, you really shouldn't be burning with a 2 ohm coil with a fresh battery. It can't be wicking properly mate (but clearly that is a whole other issue).

if there is a water tank in the loft, a much more efficient flooding can be caused by removing the float from the fill valve in the tank - flooding from 1 floor higher = much worse spread of damage Or a couple of chickens from the supermarket taken out of their wrappers plopped into the tank should provide a fairly nasty water supply some days or weeks after the fact.

it'll tell you the volts, then take the atty off and measure the resistance, then you can work out the watts either with some maths or by using this: theecigstop.com/ecal.html

yeah, get the meter across the terminals of the atty (with a coil in it) - set it to DC

No mate, it has sat at the same position since I set it. I think he is also saying turn it back and forth once to see if it changes anything. Aye, that I am They can go a bit crunchy sometimes even though they are sealed.

I wouldn't have thought you'd be burning wick at an unregulated voltage, if anything it sounds like it's stuck high so you haven't really been adjusting the pot? just left at your fixed position? Just wondering as they can fail sometimes and the likely time for it to break is when it's moved. Perhaps have a good old turn back and forth a few times and try again? At least you got it from somewhere decent. I wouldn't imagine you'd have any problem getting it replaced

I'm no real expert, but it could be that it's now just passing the batteries voltage straight through rather than boosting it. I remember a P Busardo video mentioning that the dna20 does that when you have the wattage set too low… I think they only boost, not cut.
So if it is doing it throughout the full range of the pot, it sounds like it could be buggered.
Electronics can fail, although rare these days. Hopefully your vendor will take it back to test with the potential for replacement under warrantee.

Yeah, I had a spool with to much on it. As soon as I took the tape off the whole thing went twang! Won't be using them again.
