UK Vapefest 2018 concluded, and we trust virtually everyone appears to have had a great weekend, which is brilliant for those of us on the UK Vapefest Committee as we strive to achieve exactly that.
As announced at UK Vapefest 2018, Ric, the main organiser, has now stood down from the main role, but after five years in the driving seat we think most people will agree, he's done an incredible job at the helm and we wish him all the best as he embarks on a much deserved rest and less stressful future.
Meanwhile, the committee will continue to build upon the legacy and bring more UK Vapefests for the vaping community to enjoy, starting from next year and significantly our 10th installment, UK Vapefest 2019.
With that out of the way, we'd just like to thank everyone who came, and extend our gratitude to everyone for taking the time to come, enjoy, respect and appreciate UK Vapefest 2018 including the venue and staff, who very much hope to see you all back next year.
finally, i also want to further acknowledge you considerate All About E-Cigarettes members, for leaving your marquee in pristine condition which obviously helps us on the committee, and for which we are massively grateful.
so big THANKS from me, and the rest of the team (Y)

As you probably know Jimmy, UKric sought absolutely no profit whatsoever while obtaining those ...
Just thought it worth the mention.

i struggle to understand why ECCA chose to escalate their TS aspect unto a bigger than necessary deal, if indeed it was ultimately just par for the course. i understand how it may well signify a positive for ECCA to have inroad with TS, but i also have concern at how this can and might be misused.
i can offer one example which is merely that, an example. imagine an association of traders needed to eliminate a majority of the competition in one foul swoop. Next consider a few crafty reports fed in to trading standards. Voila, e-health e-cigarettes taken off shelves and so paving a way for established vendors to mop up on the advantage brought their way.
So this might seem somewhat far fetched, but it is very much possible to achieve and very much more likely to happen as stakes become higher and ECCA could indeed play an active part in gathering value for money by these ‘donations’ they wish to invite from vendors.
I hope ECCAs intentions are good, but particular manoeuvring does promote suspicion.

i can't speak for Sooetie with any definitive reply, but i can outline one probable important point ... an ECCA request entitled "we need photos of your mods" which has been in existance since September 14, 2011. as that long running well furnished thread has significant history, it might perhaps appear that ECCA are retreading their exact same formerly lame steps. where content is remarkable, it so marks wider interest. yet, while ECCA reinvite the same or extremely similar appeal, it does raise due question as to why existing content is less than enough. I don't know and I didn't know that thread existed, please bear in mind that AFAIK everyone (or almost everyone) at ecca is new, the website is being rebuilt totally new and we/they are talking about the direction this new ecca should take and exactly what ecca should do. So everything in the past, is in the past, as far as I am concerned. We were talking the other night and it was put forward that asking for general help might not be enough, actually asking for specific help might be the way forward. Hence the requests for help for photos and to create the PDF for a leaflet. And the wonderful folks at AAEC have already come forward to help. This forum always makes me proud in some way. i'm not sure if some confusion has arisen, but assuming the pdf requires photos, and where photos have been continuinely provided since an ECCA request of September 2011, with the latest as recently as May 26 2013, i did wonder if those helpful resourses might be used as intended unto ECCAs requirements, by those readily offering in their efforts to aid ECCA. i do realise that a majority of the ECCA atendees make-up might indeed be new in their posts, but while there is ongoing support from those consumers long trying to offer help, i feel it might be nice to recognise their continuing efforts. it might also afford additional freeing up of time and resourses which ECCA generally tend to say they are short upon.

Oh Dear Womble We voted you in and you have reported back It seems they don't have a clue, Not your fault I don't know what you mean by that. I'm part of this now and if you think I'm going to lay back and let these people who are working very hard for nothing, to change ecca and to try to do something good for the community, get abused for no reason. Think again. If you have something reasonable to complain about then fair enough, I don't see any complaint above. Btw if I think something is wrong, I will tell you. i can't speak for Sooetie with any definitive reply, but i can outline one probable important point ... an ECCA request entitled "we need photos of your mods" which has been in existance since September 14, 2011. as that long running well furnished thread has significant history, it might perhaps appear that ECCA are retreading their exact same formerly lame steps. where content is remarkable, it so marks wider interest. yet, while ECCA reinvite the same or extremely similar appeal, it does raise due question as to why existing content is less than enough.

Your best bet is getting in touch with Sam Munroe or Chris Price (Rolygate) via the website....http://www.eccauk.org/ Or the ECCA group page on Facebook. They are on the Facebook page quite a bit... www.facebook.com/groups/eccauk/?ref=ts&fref=ts
