Ive just tried a cart I filled a few days ago, your whiskey cream as it happens! and topped it up at the top with a syringe seems to be working better, no burnt taste but its not as yummy as normal. I think you both have a point. Funny I tried some horseradish on a butty before and it tasted strange, so I threw the pot out. now I am thinking my tastebuds are kicking in. BTW Griz do you do a marzipan flavour ejuice? thanks both of you, your replies make sense! I don't do a Marzipan juice at the moment but as your not the first to ask I may look into making one in the new year. |

I've heard of people having days when their taste buds are dead and they can't taste their juices, but I've never come across anyone who's taste buds give them a burnt taste.
A burnt taste is usually common when a new carto isn't filled properly, or not left long enough for the juice to soak right through before using it.

As perpy says, you will be fine with de-ionised water if you have no vodka (dilute your Glycerine by at least 20%)
However be careful when using supermarket flavourings as many are extracts or oils so do make sure they are either water based or alcohol based.
I have in the past found that supermarket flavourings in mixes don't last too well as the flavour soon diminishes, so you would be better of with flavourings such as Flavourart, or Perfumers Apprentice which you can purchase from Liberty Flights quite cheaply.

The idea behind freezing carts is that any liquid left behind in the cart will expand and in so doing will re-plump the material inside and crack the dried on burnt residue around the coil. Once frozen just leave it at room temperature for about an hour, or 15 minutes in your pocket and your good to go.

Yes I've noticed they've dropped the price of their Glycerine. In the Rochdale branch it was priced at £1.39, but now it's 89p. You'd be pretty hard pushed to beat it on price that's for sure.

For a cheap 5v mod you couldn't do better than the Gary Dibley Box 101. I've been using mine for nearly a year now and it suits me down to the ground.

I love vaping on 5v, to me there's just no other way to vape. I find that I only use about a ml more on 5v as opposed to 3.7v.
