burnt vape all day :(

All day my vape has tasted burnt; its horrible. Ive changed tanks, carts etc and still I get the horrible burnt taste. Ive blown down it, added a few drops of ejuice on the connecting part and still it tastes crap!

Suppose its normal to have bad days but how frustrating not even a decent plume of cloud, its a bad day >

Any tips on how not to throw my riva through the window?

I suppose my taste buds are starting to wake up, after 29 years! its nearly a month so I suppose that could be the reason. Hope it gets back to normal I was enjoying my vaping. tomorrows another day I suppose, thanks Chrissie

I've heard of people having days when their taste buds are dead and they can't taste their juices, but I've never come across anyone who's taste buds give them a burnt taste.

A burnt taste is usually common when a new carto isn't filled properly, or not left long enough for the juice to soak right through before using it.

Ive just tried a cart I filled a few days ago, your whiskey cream as it happens! and topped it up at the top with a syringe seems to be working better, no burnt taste but its not as yummy as normal. I think you both have a point. Funny I tried some horseradish on a butty before and it tasted strange, so I threw the pot out. now I am thinking my tastebuds are kicking in.
BTW Griz do you do a marzipan flavour ejuice? thanks both of you, your replies make sense!

Whiskey cream is very subjective to what you've eaten or drunk before you vape it, ie. sweet things can make you believe that the juice is tasting funny or off. Something else to consider....

really? well I never, maybe thats what it is. I only really vape sweet stuff, thanks for that I was beginning to think my riva was broke! fingers crossed its working O.K. now!

Burnt taste usually happens when you have let the filling run dry. Unfortunatly once this has happened, you need to bin the attie of carto.

I don't do a Marzipan juice at the moment but as your not the first to ask I may look into making one in the new year.

Try a couple of dry burns on the atomiser. Connnect it to the battery with no juice and blast it a couple of times.

If that doesnt work pop the atomiser in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for 24 hours.

I have also read that soaking the atomiser in ionised water that has been heated in a microwave until hot also helps.

I've only tried this out on one atomiser and the freezer option seemed to work best.

I will try the freezer thing thanks.

my vote is for your taste buds playing silly beggers ...it happened to me after two or three weeks of no smokes ...all i could taste was menthol but after a couple of days all was good again and in fact taste and smell improved greatly. while this was happening i made sure i drank fluids and brushed my tongue hoping it would speed up the process.. not sure if it did or not but my tongue was minty fresh !!!

I have had a pretty up and down year with my taste buds ( as Griz can confirm ) , I have had bad taste days quite regularly until very recently whereby I am now enjoying some of the flavours I didn't get when I went to Griz's . I just didn't get whiskey cream and why everyone was loving it so much , but I have persevered with another sample bottle and now , I'm enjoying it .

I always have a tank and tank atty of pure menthol for days when my taste buds let me down.
A good few blasts of menthol and try on my other fave main vapes. As has also been mentioned make sure you take extra fluids , water fruit juice pop whatever , I personally have increased my fluid intake by about a litre and a half per day and it does allow you to taste your juices much better.

I concur with Storm here, since stopping smoking I have really up'd my water intake, my taste buds are really all over the place at the mo, sticking with Menthol and RY4 flavors for the time being, but have started to mix my own, as of today, using an 306LR Atomiser from Jason over at vape escape to test them with. TBH some of the juices that I did not like in the cartos have tasted pretty decent dripping, just not necessarily convenient for work.
