Saw the "six step" post before, but didn't read it properly. Just read it properly, and step 3 is a very good idea. I'll try that myself next time I fit a new wick.

If anyone is dithering about whether to order one, please be aware that it'll be a limited run. Once the supply of CE2 XL clearos runs out, I won't be able to make any more! The "ultimate" CE2 doesn't appear to be suitable, as there's no knurling on the base. Healthcabin has sold out of CE2s.
I may have to resort to scrounging for used CE2 XLs! If I do start using used clearo bases, I will, of course, ultrasonically clean and sterilise them.
If any retailer has a stock of CE2 XLs with knackered tubes, I'm up for a deal.

Wow, that's praise indeed, Ian - thanks.
I know that you've been searching for a rebuildable that works well, and I was a little nervous about how you'd get on with the RTA. Good to hear that my humble device hits the spot for you.
Did you use the "group buy" wick I sent, or Bulli wick?

Get a small pair of tweezers - makes feeding the wick down the holes a lot easier.
