This may help: It shows the configuration using Bulli wick. The main wick with the coil wound around it is 2 strands of Bulli wick. Pokes down the 2 holes closest to the terminals. The secondary wick is just a loop that pokes out of the third hole, and helps to keep the centre of the coil fed with juice. This one is optional, but if you don't fit it, plug the hole with a short length of wick to stop leaks. You can do a similar thing with the wick I send with the RTA, which is made from 3 loosely wound strands. Wind the coil in the centre of a piece about 70mm long. Fit the coil to the terminals. Before you poke the wicks down the holes, unravel one strand from each end. Feed the 2 remaining strands down each of the main holes. Take the 2 unraveled strands (one from each side) and feed them down the third hole. You could also remove one strand from the wick before winding the coil, then fit the wick the same way as in the Bulli pic - 2 strands for the coil, and one strand looped for the subsidiary wick. Hope that makes some sense!

Easier to explain via video though I think, so I'll put together a couple and post both here and at UKV. Some videos would be great Tim, especially if you include the RTA. I need to get some instructions done for users, but my video-making skills are zero.

Didn't realise my order had "jumped the queue" - much appreciated, Tim.

All the parts are now made. I just need to dismantle and ultrasonically clean the donor clearos to remove the flux residue that the Chinese leave inside, then the build can commence.
I'm at work this morning, home at 14:00.

Wow, that looks a pretty amazing charger, Clockworks. Probably a bit OTT for vaping, but they do a really good job with RC car and plane packs. I reckon using this should extend the life of my batteries, so it'll pay for itself. The drawback is that I can only charge one battery at a time, unless the batteries are identical. To solve this problem, I've just ordered a second charger from China. I'll hook the "battery holder" up to both chargers, so I can charge 2 batteries totally independently. The total cost is less than £50 for two chargers and a donor charger to use as a battery holder - around the same as a Pila. These chargers also have the facility to monitor cell temperature (to avoid any mishaps) and even a PC USB interface. The leads for these functions are an optional extra. They can also discharge cells down to a suitable level for long-term storage.

It looks great Steve and a good review to accompany it And just to keep Jason and griz happy Is it as thirsty as the rda? Juice consumption depends on the way you make the wick and coil, so it could be - your choice! The way I wicked mine, the flavour and hit are similar to my RDA, so the juice consumption must be similar. I chose to "water down" my juice with pure 50:50 no-nic base, rather than reduce the size of the coil. BTW, you are first on the list.

UPDATE:
The first batch of RTAs should be ready to ship at the weekend!
It passed it's field tests with no modifications, and I'm halfway through building the first dozen. There's a review over on the other UK forum.

I only use CE2 clearos in tanks, but I can make a drip tip in any size - just need a sample clearo to work from. I normally make them from Delrin, with an o-ring.
Why have you given up on the tanks?

Fit the clearo in a tank, then fit the drip tip to the tank cap. That's assuming a tank is available to fit the clearos that you are using.
Failing that, get a lathe and make your own drip tips. That's what I do. What clearos are you using? Maybe I can make a drip tip for you.

Aldo:
The only possible places for the air intake are on the tube, or in the base like a standard attie or clearo/carto. Because the RDA has a coil terminal through the centre, and gets juice tipped inside, a bottom air inlet wouldn't work. The side of the tube is the only practical place.
I did think about a top air inlet, but that would be very painful if you exhaled with the drip tip in your mouth - a jet of hot vapour would blast your lips.
Lisa: A Provari or Super-T P18 is an excellent visual match for the RDA. Can't think of a cheap option, but you'll end up with an expensive mod sooner or later anyway! A Silver Bullet or Omega would be good, too, for a bit less cash.
