Can you post a pic of the insides? I'm a bit wary of trying to fix it for you, incase it's glued together. Wouldn't want to make it worse!

Excellent news, and great to have more confirmation that washing/burning really works.

You can get Kanthal from a German seller on eBay, or nichrome from the place you mentioned - wires.co.uk.

Kanthal has a higher resistance than nichrome. I started out with 0.16 Kanthal, and now use the equivalent resistance nichrome wire, which is 0.13. With this wire, you'll be able to make a coil anywhere you like between 1.5 and 3 ohms - each turn of the coil is about 0.4 ohm.
Thicker wire is better for low resistance coils, as you need to use more turns, so you have more surface area to vaporise the juice.

I supply a metre of wick and wire, which is enough to make 12 or 13 wicks. They last a week or more, so there's no rush to get more supplies.

2 niggles:

The pips on the bottom cap are uncomfortable in the palm of my hand. Minor mod will fix that.
It has a 10 second safety cut-off, which I keep hitting. No idea that I toked for so long.

Obviously it doesn't have the solid, quality, feel of a Provari, but it's a bit of a bargain.
