Ok..pushed the needle in more & to one side & am still having problems. Maybe the needle on the bottle isn't long enough? I've seen some people suggest that if you're having filling problems with the AGR then to try this method : unscrew the top cap from tank, and remove the filling screw from the top cap juice up your tank screw the top cap back on to the tank ( the filling hole allows the air pressure to escape ) put the filling hole screw back in Kind of defeats the point of the filling hole in some ways, but might be worth a try if you're still having issues? P.S I don't have an AGR2 yet, so I can't comment first hand if this is a better way or not.

Ordered the Boge F16 & F17 yesterday & they arrived this morning. First impressions on my Spinner at 4v, when compered to the Evod's + 1.8ohm heads that I have been using, is that the Boge's give a slightly stronger taste & throat hit, even when you cover one of the air holes on the Evod. Vapour amount is around the same I'd say. Being new to cartos & tanks, I personally think the Evods are much easier to work with / more foolproof. Not sure if that says more about them than me though It's just a pity that Boge don't do the F16 or F17 with a locking ring though, although I'll probably buy an AGR+ or AGR2 at the end of the month for using at home. A slimmer 15mm diameter model of the AGR tanks that suits Ego style batteries would be ideal when out & about. I also bought a Mini Vivi Nova to test after trying out it's bigger brother on a Vamo2, as the throat hit was immense for some reason. To say it was a disappointment, when used on either my eGo Twist or Vision Spinner at around 4.2v, would be an understatement. Flavour was muted & less of a throat hit when compared to the Evods. I'm not sure if it's an official Mini Nova though either, as it had a slim fixed metallic mouthpiece, and the eGo skirt is fixed to the bottom of it. The ones I've seen before had just the 510 connector. Maybe it's a new revision?

Let us know how you get on with the tank please GunJack.
I still haven't got one yet as nowhere closeby stocks them, or cartos.
I have discovered my chest doesnt like high vg juices though. Bought a 80/20 VG/PG juice earlier to try & although its alright on the first draw, I start to get a slight tightness in my chest. Trust me to pick the one flavour they can't customize.
50/50 juices might be the sweetspot for me as althoughit might sound odd, the chest hit added a little something that's been missing from the 70/30 juices I've been using.

Ah but they do mate www.vapingthings.com/AGR+_SSPYREX_TANK/p1311952_9953290.aspx looks gorgeous. I am using the boge f16 carto tank at the moment and even though there is no locking of the carto i have had no problems at all with movement up or down. It has been spot on. No leaking even in this weather. Oh man. It's just as well I'm short of cash until I get paid again. Spent so much on trying different flavours in the past 2 weeks it's not funny. Still, much better than coughing in the mornings Wonder if the AGR+ has the tweaked/fixed features of the AGR2? It's the " FIXED CARTO ADAPTOR (510 THREADED) " I'm concerned about. I'll need to mail them and ask.

Hi moody and welcome to aaec. Having recently tried a carto tank myself for the first time i have enjoyed them a lot. A revelation to me but my ickear 16's are still used on my mvp as do enjoy the warm vape and the throat hit from them especially when drinking. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Thanks rosco. Still haven't got my hands on a carto yet. Been looking at other options to the Smok DCT & think I'll try the Boge F17 first as it's the same diameter as my batteries. Although in saying that, I almost crumbled & bought the AGR2 SS when I came across it The filling screw is such a simple idea & should save a lot of hassle. And the locking ring is a plus too. If I get along with carto's it'll probably be my tank of choice. Pity they don't make a pyrex version yet though. I did order some 1.8ohm heads for the Evod's. Didn't notice much of a difference when using it on my eGo Twist vv battery. It's a more noticeable when used on a standard battery. Definitely worth the few £££'s if you don't have a vv battery. I'll report back once I've tried a carto of some kind.

I'll add them to my wishlist & give them a try if I don't get along with the 1.8ohm heads & carto+tank.

I would say a carto in a tank spanks the arse off a clearomiser. Can't really ask for a better explanation than that djs Hello & welcome moodyb I really like the evods, but have to admit that I still prefer the draw on a Boge cartomiser Thanks Chrissie. Looks like cartomisers / DCT's are winning atm. I'll need to get my orders in tomorrow as I've to drive down to Chippenham & back on Sunday, so I don't want any cig pangs at service station prices

Changing to 1.8 ohm heads makes a world of difference in evods. I haven't tried the Smok DC but I've tried an iclear 30 dual coil and it vapes wonderfully. It goes through juice like nobody's business tho, and the coils aren't easily rebuildable. How about getting into building your own heads and getting something like an Aga T2? BTW I have quite a few attys and evods are my preferred out n about. I use the Aga pretty much all the time indoors (along with an igo L for dripping), but today have got a Kayfun (as yet unused) so can I reserve the right to change this statement later pls? (See my first welcome thread for a brief write up on each atty if you're interested) Thanks Tall. I might order 1 or 2 1.8ohm heads to test with then. If that doesn't do enough it looks like the DCT will be next on the shopping list. As for rebuilding heads, I'm not sure if I want to go down that route yet. The simpler the better atm. And I'd prefer to stay around eGo battery dimensions & not the sonic screwdriver sized devices I seen a few using Thanks Perpetua. A softer vape is probably the best way to describe what I'm experiencing, so you've hit the nail on the head there. I'll try one of the DCT tanks you linked to, along with the 1.8ohm heads. Both are still cheaper than the Smok DCT & might do the trick. As for the Innokin, are they any good in comparison to the Evod's? I'm wary of long wicks after my experiences with the ce2's & what they did to the taste of juices.

I found myself having an urge to want a cig for the first couple of weeks, but i was actually just craving nicotine, it tends to be periods where i'd put my PV down for a while, as soon as i took a draw it satisfied me, are these urges coming when you'd normally have a cigarette? Hey digiw0rx. They can come at any time, even not long after I've vaped. I've been in company with people smoking a few times since I stopped & it hasn't bothered me too much.
Had it even while I'm vaping, as though it's missing something.

There's an ecig shop in Whitburn ? Where Hey Fagsareus, they're called Zen Vapour. A black shop on what I think is the main street ( don't know Whitburn that well myself ). Opposite Xcite. They've only been open a few weeks. Good place though.

Thanks fred.
I'm currently using 18mg juice. I have tried 24/25mg but found it just a bit too strong for me.
As for flavours I'd say that I tend to swap between 3-4 on a daily basis, all in their own EVOD's atm :
DV Menthol, LT Peppermint, CelticVapour Virginia & LT Watermelon.
So far I've tried around 15 flavours I think. More if you count the ones I've tried out the e-cig shop near to me in Whitburn.

Hello all, So after 26 years,I finally took the plunge & decided to give up cigs for vaping. And after 2 weeks, so far so good Started off with the Intro Vision starter kit ( trying to keep to a limited budget, which was soon busted as you'd expect... ) and soon realized that the clearo it came with was giving me a chemical / burnt taste in my mouth, which my long abused taste buds didn't really appreciate. So I did a bit of reading around & the general opinion seemed to be that the Kanger EVOD's were the way to go. And they have been. Miles better compared to the ce2 clearos ( ce2's should be banned from any ecig kits imho - they make juices taste bad ) Next on the shopping list was an eGo Twist vv battery which has made a subtle but noticeable difference to some of the, many, flavours I'm steaming through, on the journey to find the one that 'scratches the itch' for good. It has also given some juices I wasn't impressed with a bit more throat hit, which I honestly didn't think I'd bother with when I started reading up on all of this, but it has made them useable & they'll tide me over until the next batch drop through my letterbox...The problem I'm having is that I'll randomly still get the urge to want a cig, even though I was smoking fairly weak ones - Silver PallMall at 6mg nicotine iirc. I'm not sure if this is because I haven't found a juice that I could vape all day, or if I need more taste of the flavour than the EVOD's provide. Or I need more of a throat hit. Or all 3! So, I've been looking at 2 things to try - 1.8ohm replacement heads for the EVOD's, and the Smok Pyrex DCT. Anyone care to comment if the Smok Pyrex DCT would be a noticeable upgrade over the EVOD clearos in taste & overall vaping 'experience', or would the lower resistance heads for the EVOD's give the same/similar effect?
Any advice would be much appreciated before I end up spending more this month on vaping than I ever did on cigs! The joy of trial and error
