My DCT for LT Ecigs arrived today, and I've been using it for the last hour. Compared to the Boge F16/F17 with a LR single coil carto, the DCT gives what feels like a smoother vape to me. What I mean by that is the DCT gives warmer vapour, a bit more flavour (say around 15-20%?), and a bit more vapour on the exhale. The juice I'm using is Watermelon@70/30 which doesn't really have much of a throat hit anyway, so I can't really notice a difference between them in that respect. It also has a slightly tighter draw in comparison to the F16/F17. And it is much quieter to use. Gives off a very faint hiss. Whereas the Boge's are well named. Much noiser than the DCT, if that kind of thing bothers you. Btw the Boge was a 1.6-2.0 ohm carto on my Spinner at 3.7v. The DCT was using a 2.7ohm carto, according to the LT website, running at 4.3v. Now, which do I prefer? Well, I think that depends on what flavour you're using tbh. I love watermelon straight from the fridge, so the cooler vape from the Boge suits it better, but the DCT gives it a better flavour... Maybe I should stick them together with gaffer tape to get the best bits of both at the same time? It would be my first mod

Another shout for Evods here. Never had any problems with the 3 of them I have. Easy to fill, clean and change the heads. They also look nice & neat on Spinner / Twist batteries.
Only downside for some is the 1.6ml capacity, and some might find the draw a little 'airy'. It's easy enough to cover one of the air holes with a finger when using them though.
VapeOnly Mini / BCC's seem to have a good rep & get good reviews too, although I haven't tried one myself yet.

Are you able to compare it against the first Protank?
Just wondering if the PT2 it has a less 'airy' draw, as that's why I never bothered with the first version.

Yeah I've found them very good too. Have been using one here, along with 3 F17's, for 10days now and as you said no leaks or issues. They've replaced my Evod's as my main choice for now. I did have a slight leaking/ gurgling issue with one of them, but that turned out to be a faulty carto. Changed it for another & no more problems. Only downside is no locking ring, but on the upside you can change the driptip I've an DCT from LT arriving tomorrow, so it will be good to compare the single coil Boge cartos against the dual coils of the DCT's.

I'd maybe try one of the cheaper tanks+cartos first to see if you like them, like the Boge F16 & F17, or the DCT from LT Ecigs. All around around £5, so not losing too much £££'s if you don't like them. If you do like them then you can move onto the locking AGR tanks as others have suggested. I'm considering the Smoktech UDCT tanks as they come in large & small sizes, which means I'd use the bigger one when at home, and the smaller one for out 'n' about on my spinner battery. Plus I'm sure I read somewhere that recent revisions of them come with polypropylene tanks instead of polycarbonate. Might be worth checking with the shop first to double check that.

Thanks for the tip. I always stuck the drip tip in the middle of my lips because i thought the reviewers looked like doozers sticking it in the side. I get a bit more flavour with the drip tip to the side of my mouth when inhaling like you would with a cig. Having the drip tip in the middle when inhaling, with your mouth not fully closed around it - lips touching the top & bottom of the driptip, but allowing air to pass in at the sides at the same time, gives me more overall flavour & does tickle the back of my throat a bit. It's worth it though for the better taste Just be wary when you're using a minty / menthol juice

One of the reasons I stopped smoking was to save some cash every month, which is ironic since I've spent more in 3 weeks on vaping that I would have on cigs! Yeah but there's a fair chance you'll live longer so there's plenty time to recoup the cash lol Fair point Tall

I have EVOD, Vivi Nova and iClear 30 iClear gives big, warm vapour - it's dual coil clearo ViVi is on the second place - big vapour, better taste EVOD is bottom coil clearomizer, so vapour is colder those clearos are good enough for me - I use e-cigs for about six months, after 15 years smoking 40-50 analogs every day Impressive. Well done on giving up smoking that many cigs daily I'll need to try the iClear's next. Well after my 3ml DCT from LTeCigs arrives. Will be good to compare it against the Boge lr single coil cartos I've been using recently. I was going to try the VapeOnly BCC, but there can't be that much difference between bottom coil clearos ( already have 3 Evods )

Oh no, that would be bad idea. Too many gadgets at cheap prices That is a brilliant price for a Vamo kit though. If I hadn't spent £25 the other day on juice I'd have jumped at it.

Amen to that Moody . . . there's more willpower required to not buy gear, than there is for not smoking I find! But, vaping really is as inexpensive or costly as you make it, once you've got ' stocked up ' that is. If you go on to mix your own eliquid, then you'll find costs come down again. I don't believe your skirted Vivi Nova is from Vision, but I haven't read of any leakage issues with it, though it would be worth buying any replacement heads from the Vendor you bought it from, just in case others aren't compatible. I don't think I have a terminal case of shinyitus thankfully , as I'm happy with the look of the eGo sized batteries & Evods / carto tanks. I think it's more that I'm not really satisfied with the taste / flavour / throat hit yet. So I still get urges for a cig at times. As for the Mini Nova clone, it is now in the bin. Wasn't impressed with it at all. Felt like I was using Ce2's again. I think the only top coil I'll bother trying next is the iClear16.Until then I'll stick with Evods or carto tanks for now.

Thanks for the info GunJack. Much appreciated. I've considered the DCT's from LT since Perpetua mentioned them, esp since they have a polyproplene tank, but I've read that dual coil cartos can burn through juice. Have you found that yourself? One of the reasons I stopped smoking was to save some cash every month, which is ironic since I've spent more in 3 weeks on vaping that I would have on cigs! That seems to be the way of it though until you find a setup that suits, as others have said. So, I just need a Vamo v4 next... oh and then both sizes of the Smok UDCT tank... and then a shiney Killer 705 next, etc... Sometimes I wish I was one of those people who were content with the blister pack starter kits

Nah, I'm definitely working class. The bank manager's only because I'm single. If I was married I'd have one already

I was not going to buy one either and then this Vamo just fell in my shopping! LOL! Sadly I can't see my bank manager believing that somehow

I definitely have Shinyitus, although I've somehow stopped myself from buying a mod so far. It's only been 3 weeks though, so I doubt I'll still be able to say that after 6 weeks. Anyone want to place any bets?
