Welcome back to you kailey . . . . it's a bit late for me to get my head in gear with some recommendations for you, I just didn't want you to feel ignored. Our resident night owls may be about to help though.
It's true that post TPD and the increase in popularity of sub ohming, our vaping world has changed from a few years ago, between us though I'm sure we'll get you sorted out with some new equipment and eliquid.
I make my own eliquid, so can't help much on that front, but it's worth having a look at these sites perhaps as a starting point:
ghostrider1971 and myself are the fan boy/girl of the Cleito world Jerri . . . . didn't like the 0.2ohm coils - far too warm a vape for my personal liking, 0.4ohm is perfect for me.
My current coil after almost 180ml through it of dessert type flavours, currently using 58.6watt after starting around the 30watt mark - it owes me nothing at this stage! So your iPower will cope as 80watt is its maximum.
I *think* but don't have personal experience as my Cleito's are all pre-TPD , that the Fatboy Tank should be fine with a 2ml version as the coil head itself has the necessary integrated chimney to cope with either size.
Just a few random offerings from me today . . . . using up some of the odds n ends of flavours I had knocking about, plus I wanted to try The Ecig Shop's Heist-burg and Cherry Tunes oneshots - both similar but different blends to other well known flavours! On the lick test, they taste quite promising . . . . softer, but still flavoursome.
I.o.c flavours were so weak. So tried the conc to make make them stronger. Still couldnt get on with them as i found them very bland
I think I'm probably quite hard to please on the ready made front, which is one of the reasons I got into DIY in the first place ( along with a PG sensitivity ) so I could make to a flavour strength that suited my tastes . . . . . you've only got to read the mini reviews I've posted on the pre-TPD liquids to see how few I've actually enjoyed without tweaking in some way. Yet many, many others have absolutely raved about some of these blends - something that baffles me completely.
So I've come to the conclusion that some people have taste buds considerably more sensitive than mine are ever likely to be and/or are using equipment totally different to myself.
IOC and concentrates in general are no different, suggested ratios are purely a starting point, there are very, very few that I ever make and enjoy at a ' recommended ' ratio . . . . I haven't loved all the IOC flavours by any means, but using 30% with them ( and many other popular custard/dessert oneshot concentrates ) has at least given me a flavoursome vape.
As another example, there's a particular VTA concentrate that some reckon 6% is enough, I made it at 15% . . . . . and it's about right for me. The range as a whole is considered to be ' very strong ' well not in my world of the flavours that I've so far tried.
There seems to be a reluctance, almost a shame, in these times of micro ratios to admit that they're not enjoyable for you or to experiment with higher percentages, perhaps it's a confidence thing . . . . what's the worst that can happen - it's too strong, so you just cut it back a bit. Most of us can cope with slightly less nicotine anyway.
Sorry, that turned into a bit of an essay . . . . bottom line is that we're all different and what works for some, won't for others.
A big, big thank you to jtc . . . . who kindly offered to send me a sample of a particular home brew custard, well my parcel arrived today. Thinking he was sending a 10ml sample, imagine my surprise and delight when I opened the package to find 2 huge bottles of eliquid, one of the custard - the other of his Cornflake Tart!
Two of my most successful recent RTA purchases . . . . . single coil and super easy to build/fit, which they have to be for me jacq13 as I've a very low attention/faffage span when it comes to rebuildables!
Yep I bought one, but for anyone that knows me, if I'm nothing else, I'm brutally honest. If I've purchased something that's shit, I'll tell you it's shit and this thing is pure cow dung. In my brutal honest opinion, Tony B and Vandy Vape have taken the vaping community for a ride with this one.
You are Graham . . . . and for that I respect you.
Whilst I've not kept up with this particular skirmish, I do know that equipment wise if I wanted an honest opinion on something it would be your good self and the other knowledgeable gents on the forum who I'd look to for it.
I don't want to know what someone thinks I'd like to hear for whatever reason . . . . .
