Thanks. Would that be to prevent any sort of issue if a customer wants to deal with Innokin directly? Innokin refuse to deal direct with retail customers anyway. I think they want to stop people effectively telling Innokin where FastTech have sourced them through (because Innokin won't sell to FT)

digiyes for the cheapo ones , ENERdan for the proper expensive panny ones. BTW all arrived today,so I needn't have ordered 2 cheap ones, GRRRR !!!! I now have 6 batteries ! Ah, Amazon always state pessimistic timings, but I've heard good things before about ENERdan's times (from Germany)

Trying to hide their supply chain - that makes sense

Was your brown outer cardboard box sealed? Mine was shrink-wrapped, yes

I'd 'take one for the team'.
I'd rather smoke another cigarette than take some new drugs that's only been through animal trials.

No, at least the exterior of the front cover has nothing there to remove! Is it printed on the inside (mine's at home)

Mine was in tact. Out of interest, does it have the CE mark on the cover?

Sorry, I'm afraid these are all email conversations. I'm actually a little shocked about the lack of presence for the QMUL/BARTS/Wolfson Tobacco Dependence Research Unit. They have an 0800 number rather than a website, like it's the 1980s!

For my part I leave the foam in the top, put the MVP (with a ProTank 2 extending to perfectly fill the length of the box) on its side, next to the VTR, with spare 18650s filling up the gap.
My ZMax won't quite squeeze into that gap, but it will sit raised up a little and hold everything tight.

Many thanks for following up on this.
Isn't it interesting that Innokin wrote back to me on 11th October, claiming that certification was complete but ignoring my request for a copy, and suggesting that the lack of a mark (which is present on all their other devices I have) on the body was an oversight - then finally produce a certificate dated October 28th.
Would anyone contradict me if I suggested that the reason the VTR ships without a CE mark if that it was sent out untested, due to all the last minute production issues and revisions, and that the CE mark on the documentation was, at the time, fraudulent?

Heard back also from Jim McManus, who wrote the article in the OP.
I linked him here.

Happens to me a lot on the street in London. I sometimes wonder if I should short a battery and light their entire pack

It's significantly bigger - I can get the VTR, the MVP (with a Protank on), a ZMax and four spare batteries in mine!
I find it very useful, having taken out the cut-out.

What's available when you install Plex? Anything you want to transcode from your PC, so for me downloaded movies and tv series. I also watch The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, whose channel subscriptions work well (South Park less so).
