Hi all Have read the help thread for us newbies, still a bit confused as to some of the terms, some of the maintenance , some of the kit and other items. Brief history : smoking for over 35 years, about 20-25 rollies a day, tried giving up 3 times(1 month, 3 months, 9 months) and every time I put on weight, paid lots of money for patches/gum(and I was good at biting myself when chewing,it was a massacre !!! ) and went back on ciggies. I have been lurking here for a while, now I have decided to go for it after buying a cigarette looking ecig from Sainsbury's, yuk. I am looking at purchasing the VAMO V5 kit, this vendor also has a website but I prefer on ebay as I have comeback with paypal LINKY HERE
A few questions for the wise ones on here 1. So I shouldn't buy it ? 2. Anyone recommend a vendor or have feedback on the one I linked ? 3. Kit as it is, enough to get me started ? 4. Maintenance, what else do I need to purchase ? 5. Consumables, what else do I need ? Thank you kindly.

I notice the seller ( on eBay link) is MyEpack, its one of this forums recommended sellers and his prices are excellant, you can just go directly to his shop HERE you can then buy any additional items you may need and can open an account and trace orders, delivery etc. You can still paypal payment via online shop. Ive used site, its very good, swift delivery

I'd personally buy from a Vendor that has a clear returns policy so that IF you have a problem then you can return it. However they're pretty solidly built (I have two) and should last you for ages. 1b. Have you actually held a Vamo? they're pretty big, I myself don't find this a porblem but some may. 2. Someone will be along shortly with links, I'd recommend VapeEscape, Safercigs and UK-Ecigcabin, make sure you check he discount code threads. 3. Yes it is BUT that looks like a cheap charger, for safety/longevity I'd recommend a X-Tar or Nitecore charger this is an item that if you buy well you'll not regret it, cheap chargers are notoriously unreliable. I notice they supply a adaptor with it so it's not even made for the UK market. 4. Whilst not the best those batteries are OK (I have a few) and should last you for a little while. However they're only 700 mAh (4 or 5 hours vaping) you'll probably want to get some decent capacity 18650's (24 hours vaping) pretty soon. 5. The CE4's supplied in this kit are a bit "Old hat" now I'd recommend a Protank, looks nice on a Vamo. You'll need some juice. Hope this helps.

Hi I don't own or have experience with vamos I do have experience with those grey batteries and they are ok, but there are better ones out there. (efest) The charger is also ok, but there are much better ones out there. (nitecore) You would probably end up replacing both eventually. I would want 18650 batteries anyway both because they last longer and because it is easier to source high quality ones. I'm pretty certain you can use paypal directly on myepacks website, in which case you could get just the vamo and then add a decent charger and possibly the nitecore 18650 batteries, but I have no experience with them, so I can't say if they are any good or not. You also need to get an atomiser (or 5 2) Different people like different things, I recommend the iClear16s personally. Some juice obviously (buy small quantities at first until you know what you like) and eventually some spare heads/coils, but hold off on that until you know that you like the atty you have chosen.

Hello & welcome dognosh I love my Vamo & can highly recommend them I also think you would do better to buy just the body from Myepack - myepack.co.uk/mods/vamo-v5.htmlAnd then get some good 18650 batteries & a good charger

I should also get a x-tar or nitecore charger 2. also some 18650 batteries 3. protank and/or iClear16 atomisers 4. juice,I would like to try vanilla(like my tobacco) 5. then later on spare heads and coils Ok, one more thing, if I get the body, and items 1-4, that will get me going ? re: Juice Any advice on make or place to buy? Wouldn't the iClear30 (or iClear30S) look better (and last longer between fillings) on a Vamo?
I can't recommend the Panasonic NCR18650B enough as a battery - holds way more charge than the EFest/AW ones. Worth a couple of quid extra.

As to juice, I would guess 18mg nicotine str, but with all things juice related you are going to have to find out your personal preferences, there are too many variables. Don't expect tobacco flavours to taste like normal cigarettes ... they don't. It is worth trying some non-tobacco flavours, you may be surprised Also remember that your tastes and required nicotine str are very likely to fluctuate in the beginning. Resist the urge to stock up for a few months until you are totally off the stinkies. Myepack sell Dekang juice which some people love and some people hate ... same story for most juices. T-juice is causing a bit of a stir in the juice market atm, and I would recommend them personally. I have never tried them but tobacco flavours from paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/down_for_maintenance.php (currently under maint) have had some good comments.

Provari's are the best known, much praised high end/price mods, but there are some specialised mods out there. If you are just starting out I would stay away from what are termed "mechanical" mods in the beginning. You are much better off with something that has at least VV (variable voltage) and possibly VW (variable watts). The innokin MVP has a lot going for it, no need to buy separate batteries and you can charge it with a standard phone recharger. As a mid range starting point for the soon to be committed vaper, you can't go far wrong.

^^^ [edit: I do love my MVP though. Same people. Good electronics, great battery.]
It's not to everyone's taste, but I love the iTaste VTR. Bit heavy, but I love how it fits in the hand and a drop on the floor is no issue.
When people say 'money is no object', though, they usually seem to go for hand-built polished tubes in beautiful metals.
