They do have shops in Shrewsbury you know! Why not get stuff when you're there rather than carting ten tons of slowly decaying groceries around with you?

Vapefest used to only be one day, now it's two, or even three if you're camping.
Each day has it's own flavour.
Friday evening is when the campers and vendors make their own entertainment - BBQs and ill advised boozing.
Saturday is the main event with the maximum number of people, raffles, and other shenanigans.
Sunday is the chill out day. Most of the mercenaries, the "Free Shit" grabbers, and the tourists will have gone home. There'll still be the vendors's marquees, live music, food and drink, but it'll be a slightly more relaxed atmosphere and less of a crush. It's the day that I'm most looking forward to.

Are you sure? The red one is at 2pm, just after lunch, and is perfect for day trippers.

I wish the raffle tickets could be made available to buy, for those who can't make it to Vapefest. Although I can perfectly understand why they aren't. There are many reasons why this isn't so. First and foremost, the raffle is an integral part of the Vapefest experience and "being there". Another, slightly more boring, reason is that the raffle, and indeed the Festival itself, is as large as it can be. We are limited in terms of the number of raffle tickets we can sell; any more and suddenly we aquire lottery status with all the restrictive legal hoo-ha and hoopla that that involves. It's just too much for our slender team of six unpaid part timers (with "proper" full time jobs).

Yes, I was amazed. When driving the length of France last year it seemed that every one horse (burger) town or village had at least one vape shop. While the selection was never great there was usually something unique to buy. For example; how could I pass up on some Pastis eliquid? I think it's hardly surprising there's such a big vaping presence. I always thought the French were the biggiest smokers in Europe – the cigarette glued to the bottom lip is as much a french cliché as berets, stripey tops, and strings of onions. For them to embrace vaping seems a natural progression. I'm very pleased that there's a significant French presence at Vapefest this year, both juice and hardware with a unique French esthétique.

I was in and I was out in less than an hour, but BIG thanks to Julie for being the super organiser (Vape-Mama), Jessica for trading badges and building bridges and Niamh just for for the craic. It was just a pub, but it was a good venue (I hope I am forgiven for rearranging the the furniture, that's what I do) and it was certainly a lot busier upstairs than down, so I hope we've won over the landlord for next time.

This is me with my spider like hands trying to explain the soundstage at Vapefest.

This a thread for AAEC members with spare room in their cars or those looking for a lift. Driving to Vapefest? Don’t go it alone – take a co-pilot onboard to help with the navigation and fill in the harmonies as you sing along with your motorway mix tape…If you really can’t make it to Vapefest by public transport then this thread is for you; whether you're a driver with seats to spare or a passenger angling for a lift...

I hope to be there – won't know if I'm on child minding duty until a couple of days before, but I will do my best.
I urge and encourage all London Vapers able to attend to do so – it's a fun night out – that goes without saying – but its continued existence depends on sufficient numbers to secure the venue. If it drops below a certain number then the venue is lost to us forever, as happened at the last meet.
Go on – get off your arse!

Origen v2 easy build, well designed, generous juice well, good performance.
I have had many RDAs in my time, but I find most of them unacceptably leaky. I tend to carry my vaping gear in my pockets and nothing pisses me off more than the discovery of a sticky juice spot on my clothes.
The only RDA that I can trust not to do so is the Origen. My favourite is the Origen v2. I have an Origen v3 which has more airflow options but I'm not so keen on the design - pocket fluff and dirt and general debris gets stuck in those wafer thin slots around the top.
I have a Derringer which is a cute little thing, but I find the juice well crowded and small. It's too leak prone to carry in your pocket with any kind of confidence so I really only use it at home, atop a suitably diminutive 18350 mod. I do occasionally take it out to vape meets, but really I'm just showing off!
I recently inherited a Fogatti Switchblade which is fine and gorgeous thing, but it has, what I consider to be, something of a design flaw; the top cap fits inside the base rather than over it which makes it hard to arrange your wicking material – it tends to get snagged and interfere with the seal. The other thing is the admirable and innovative deck compels me to make fierce three coil builds that fog out a room in a single draw. I know a lot of people like that sort of thing but I'm a discrete vaper – I don't like to draw too much attention to myself on the top deck of the bus or obscuring the screen at my local multiplex...

This ticket is going really well....... When dealing with people whose first language is not english it's probably best to avoid sarcasm, irony and word play as it simply does not translate. For example:
"You can hope as much as you want but I'm neither understanding nor appreciating. Thank you."translates as "只要你想,你可以期望很多,但我既不理解,也不升值。谢谢。"which translates as "As long as you want, you can expect a lot, but I neither understand nor appreciate. THX."See? You'll resolve your issue much quicker if you stick to plain and simple language.

When I found out that the cost of sending the item back via economy post would be more than 23 euros (bearing in mind the item only cost approx 25 euros in the first place) I informed FT it would not be cost effective to send it back to them I bought a power supply from them that was DOA. They asked me to post it back. I can't remember how much it was – £7-£10 I think - but they asked me to photograph and email the receipt, they then refunded my account. I thought that it was crazy as the power supply itself was only £12! Another time I'd ordered some hybrid adapters but they sent the wrong thread gauge. They only cost £1.21 and FT sent me the correct item straight away and told me I could keep the others. I subsequently unknowingly bought a mod with the same gauge, so it was a happy ending. These are the only times I've had a problem with FT and in each case they acted honourably and did the right thing. If you can penetrate the sometimes surreal tone and abstract spelling of their auto translated emails you'll find their cutomer service is pretty good.

Accompanied children and other pets are admitted but (as yet) there are no child specific activities on site. As a parent myself I can predict a fair amount of eye rolling and complaints of boredom, unless your child is a heavy metal fan, in which case the soundstage will be an excellent diversion. However Shrewsbury does have some kids' ativities... Perhaps you can carrot and stick them – spend the morning at Vapefest and bring an excellent picnic and promise that you'll do something "more fun" in the afternoon.
