thanks. The reason I am curious is because I read that PG/VG is only heated, not burnt, in e-cigs. Assuming this is correct, and it does seem correct, where does the carbon residue come from?

What exactly is the black/dark stuff that seems to collect on coils/wicks and burns off (with a white smoke) when we dry burn a clearomizer?

Vamo, and also a normal eGo battery. I am finding the vodka mix with some of the original dekang mix thrown in very agreeable. thanks GunJack

Hi sammy13, sorry, but a negative on both of the above is a bit of a dealbreaker for me. good luck - it does look very smart and I am sure it is a perfect kit for someone. I'll give it a bump again later if it hasnt sold.

Hi sammy13, does this battery have a standard 510/eGo thread? Can I use a normal clearomizer (e.g. Kanger T3) with this? Also, can I re-coil it like I could recoil a Kanger T3 head, for example? Edit: doesnt look like it has a standard thread, but happy to be proven wrong.

yup, my next mix tastes better. Thankfully my first experiment was only with a sample. I added water to the VG to dilute it - will try vodka

So i bought some VG from Boots and mixed it in a 1:1 ratio. Since the original liquid was 70:30, it should now be 35:65. it did reduce the throat hit, but not by as much as i though it would. I am getting a burnt taste now, so I wonder if the e-liquid is too thick and is not soaking the yarn and i am getting a dry burn.
But here is the strange bit: the liquid I vape the most is Decadent Vapours which is 70:30. I find that very smooth, also in 18mg. So why would 35:65 mix give a harder throat hit than 70:30? and is the burnt taste because the VG mixed e-liquid is too thick?

I have some juice which hits pretty hard. I also usually get a dry throat/mouth soon after I vape a few times with this. Is there some way I can make it seem milder? ftr, the juices are 18mg HS Delight, and Dekang USA Mix, both from Vapescape. I seem to vaguely recall that the proportion of VG/PG determines throat hit, but would appreciate some education. thanks

I recently got a HP 840 G1 - and it's great. ~1.7kgs, SSD, 8GB RAM, 14" 1920x1080 screen, fingerprint reader, backlit full-size keyboard. The back comes off without having to remove a single screw, in case it needs a repair. 3 yr warranty. and best of all, it comes with Windows 7 installed and Windows 8 on a disk (which you can install if you want). In use, it is absolutely silent - the fan rarely comes on. heartily recommended.

I re-coiled a couple of Kanger T3S heads and put cotton wicks in. Can I dry-burn these to clean, as you would with the original heads? Or would the cotton just burn off? (presume the latter....)
