He titled this thread "dangerous wiring" he has no idea what the fault even was it never had anything to do with the wiring. He has been on every forum spamming crap. Just so you understand, as you might not even own an IPV2 or 3. There is silicone on top of where the contacts sit, it's a black soft plastic. That's it, this is what people are panicking about. Anyone can go on to Reddit and see how this has been discussed and figured out already yet he keeps posting negative things. If this was your company I'm sure you would be pissed off having worked so hard to put a quality device out just to have one company and one idiot ruin it. Like I say, I hope Liberty Flights will make a full apology to P4Y and all their customers, I doubt it though, I'm sure it'll just get swept under the rug.

Ok Csayce you have done your digging and scare mongering for a couple days now saying that it's faulty wiring and the batteries are gonna explode and ignored me when I told you what the issue was. You have been on every forum constantly scaring people even though you bought 1 single unit and got a full refund for it! Well P4Y have looked at the Liberty Flight units and confirmed they are indeed complete idiots by telling me that it's silicone not melting plastic as I said on many of you previous posts in numerous different forums. Time for you and Liberty Flight to make as much noise that you made a mistake and undo all your negative spam. Official comment from P4Y-
Hi dears, Its me *****. I am so sorry to distrub you . I enclosed the pics about the the questions liberty said. Its not the overheating caused electrode nearby plastic melting. Silica gel is just used to fix .I am so sorry about this . Our sale manager had contact them about this . Thank you for you time .

Well they released their statement. No more mention of the chip overheating just that the battery contacts were "melted" which would be the silicone to prevent dust getting into the chip. Atleast that's what P4Y tell me. I'm going to continue using mine, we'll see what Liberty Flights testing comes up with.

I think they jumped the guns to be honest, I read the statement. If the chip gets hot it'll shut down and the "melting" is just some kind of soft plastic to hold the contacts in,it's not melting at all. These weren't rushed out, We ordered these AGES ago and there was about 2-3 months of QC on these.

Seems to be silicone inside the contacts and it's not actually melting. I think this might be a false scare.

Tried to upload a picture but it's not working, One of my customers posted a picture, the gold contacts get hot and are melting the plastic about the battery.

This stuff is so frustrating to read. I don't mind them regulating juices to make sure the right stuff goes in them but banning e-cigs as a whole is stoopid!

I got one of these from FT,easy to build with almost anything! Using cotton with a piece of ekowool across the top of the coil and I love it. No dry hits with this thing! 10/10

I find cotton works best on these kinds of atomisers,Even when I completely stuff the wick holes with it still absorbs the juice. I find cotton gives off a burnt taste after vaping 2-3 tanks worth of juice but atleast you can pull it out easy and keep the coil.
Edit: Just remembered,With my Taifun I use cotton wick but then place a piece of ekowool ontop of the coil, works great! Try that.

RiPTrippers just did a video on this here ---> It could be the PG but it could be any of the other things too, VG,Nic or flavouring. I know GrimmGreen thinks his itching could be down to something in the liquid so is trying a VG only week.

FT have 2 days to respond to my PayPal claim, do I get my money back fairly quickly if they haven't responded? They refund orders after 8weeks I believe or in one of my cases my parcel was sent back to them from hong kong post (why?) and they just refunded it into my account. I think they stopped some refunds because people got their money back and then their packages arrived. The forums on FT are full of helpful people if you need more info.

The problem I have is with the well-known-to-me taste of hot metal. I get it nearly all the time. I re-set up the Iatty last night - and there is was, hot coil taste again. Horrible. Anyhow, I placed two strands of wick above the ceramic cup/coil arrangement. They are just about staying in there I think. Bad taste gone. I have come to the conclusion that wires too loose (not wrapped tight) leaves glowing coil without juice. (i.e. dry hit) The best flavour ones were all produced wrapping the coil around a "bit" (in my case a nail) and sliding the wick in. wrap a piece of rizla around the mesh wrap the coils tight and when the paper burns you're left with a perfect fit and it carbonizes the mesh to help reduce hotspots.
