I'm glad that you've found a setup that suits you Blownupdolly. But I don't think that rebuildables are for everyone - they certainly aren't for me! I don't mean to cast a downer on things, but it seems to me that enjoying fiddling around is a must if you plan to get into rebuilding. I mean, have you seen those videos? They say that they're going to teach you a 'simple' coil build, and then spend the next half hour faffing with blowtorches, tweezers, different types of wire and suchlike. I know that some people find rebuilding very straightforward and even enjoyable, but I hate tinkering and I'm terrible at it. After 5 minutes of getting wire tangled up and burning my fingers I get so stressed that I feel like having a cigarette! I think it's better for me to accept that I have the hand-eye coordination of an intoxicated sloth and zero patience when it comes to this kind of thing. To be honest I'm not interested in searching for vaping nirvana, and I'm definitely not planning on driving myself mad in the process. I vote for an easy life and sticking to the cartos and clearos! You sound much like me to be honest. A two yr old has more patience. BUT, the difference for me is that my husband is an obsessive tinkerer (much to my annoyance most of the time!) but for this task, he is perfect and I intend to make full use of his skills. I totally understand where you are coming from. I am just lucky to have someone who is happy to do it. It does take practice though. When he first started he hated it. The language that bellowed from his corner of the room was blue as hell. He would chuck all the bit away, stomp off and not bother for a few days, but, after a few weeks he seems to have got it down to an art. You're very lucky to have someone to do it for you - maybe I'll hire a professional rebuilder / butler if I ever win the lottery (I wonder what Super-Shiny would look like in a butler's outfit? ) I know that building coils takes practice and that I could probably figure it out eventually (although it might take me several years because I'm utterly impractical!), but I just don't have the motivation to make the effort. I'm very content with my clearos, cartos and 306 dripping atties and I can use them without flying into a rage, so I think it's best if I stick to what I know and like.

I want to buy some drip tips compatable with mini pro tank and protank 3. I'm assuming they are normal 510 drip tips?!... I want to funk up my gear I've seen people with coloured drip tips also skull ones etc.... Where's the best place to grab these from? That's right - they take standard 510 drip tips. Check out this thread if you're after some very cool drip tips - there are loads of pics and links in it: clicky

I'm a PhD student and a part-time teacher. I spend a fair bit of time working from home, where I can vape as much as I like! No-one seems to mind me vaping in the research student's office, so I can vape away happily there too.
The one place I don't vape is in the classroom. No-one has told me not to and my students are all of university age. But I don't feel comfortable doing it, so I don't. It's no great sacrifice as I only spend 4-6 hours per week teaching.

Do you find that it affects your chest in any way i.e. tightness when you vape more? I haven't had any problems of that sort - in fact, my breathing has been a lot better and my chest has been clearer since I gave up smoking and started vaping instead.

I think that an MVP 2 is a great choice for a first mod. It has all of the features that you need, and allows you to avoid the expense of buying batteries and a charger separately. Personally, I would suggest the Iclear 30s as the best clearomizer - you get loads of warm, tasty vapour and the coil heads last for ages. The tank is crack resistant so you can put any juice you like in it.

Hi and a big to AAEC! It sounds like you're off to a great start - the MVP2 has a solid reputation and I'm very partial to Red Astaire!

It's not the headline about selling ecigs to children that's the main issue today, we've got Richard Warry of BBC News at the side of the story on the website with "the contents of e-cigarettes can vary. Some have been found to contain toxic chemicals which are also found in tobacco, and have been linked to cancer", McKee on TV waffling about flavours and shite, Prof Dame Sally Davies with "E-cigarettes can produce toxic chemicals......" , and some dopey TV Doc Sarah Jarvis reviving the antifreeze lie on Sky TV. Lots of collateral damage done today with very little comeback yep, the usual sh*te But seriously, I'm scratching my head here What is it that under 18s can't buy? Batteries? Battery Tubes? Clearos? No nic e-juice? Pre-filled cartos and cig-a-likes? Do the policy makers have any idea themselves what they have banned? Probably not, but their ignorance is both a disadvantage and an advantage to us. On the one hand, it leads them to want to ban things in the first place. On the other hand, they have no clear idea of what they are actually banning, which means that the legislation will be full of loopholes. If an outright ban on e-cigs was put into place tomorrow, I reckon that most of the products we buy could still be sold: Government Idiot: "Is that an e-cig? You know that it's illegal to sell them?" Vendor: "No, it's an atomizer". Government Idiot: "Oh, ok. What about that - is that an e-cig?" Vendor: "No, it's a variable voltage battery tube".......and so on. The only things that unequivocally count as e-cigs are cigalikes and maybe ego kits. A law without clear definitions is unenforcable, and the law-makers lack the expertise to come up with clear definitions, which bodes well for us.

If anyone fancies some exercise I'll be on Tottenham Marshes for the next 2 hours collecting horse semen. Group buy?

I admire your bravery. It takes balls to walk around with one of those in your mouth.

LOVE the turtles and the flowers. Did they come from the same crowd? The turtles come from Trippy Tips and are massively expensive. The flowers are much less expensive, and come from Black Raven Tips ( clicky ) and Bling Bilinga ( clicky )

Steamgunk's RY4 is pretty good, although it does need a fair bit of steeping before it reaches its best.
