That's interesting osdset - as a Les Paul owner, I've never considered it from that point of view. Mind you, my les Paul lives in a hard case and is looked after very carefully. It's an epiphone, not a Gibson (limited budget when I bought it 20 years ago) but I didn't buy it for maintenance, looks or ease of playing - the tone and sustain of solid mahogany was too creamy to resist! Still I'd never recommend it to a new player. Although the action is beautiful, it's a heavy and awkward guitar, and the cutaway takes some bendy thumb skills. Couldn't agree more about the luck of the draw with regards to individual instruments. If you go in a shop and try an Instrument, and they go in the back to get you a stock one when you say you want to buy, don't put your cash down until you've heard it play! It's happened to me and I walked out of the shop when he wouldn't sell me the display model. I'll get that all white strat one day, although I need more guitars like I need more vaping equipment - not very much required... Epiphone! I rest my case! Isn't it ironic that at one point (the CBS days I think) Epiphone were making better Les Paul's than Gibson could. PRS are better guitars IMO (at least when Paul Reed Smith was making them by hand), now they are churned out by the thousands, even the freboard inlay work is sub contracted out to Pearl Works or someone similar. It's a shame Patrick Eggle sold out to Levinson Guitars, Eggle made good quality instruments that easily equalled Gibson, and they were British! Yep totally agree about Gibson. Hugely overpriced for the quality they are producing. A couple of years ago I was looking for a les paul style guitar and ended up with a PRS tremonti. A bit on the expensive side but worth every penny. Easily the best guitar Ive played and really versatile. The inlays are manufactured by someone else but the guitars are still all manufactured in Maryland as far as I know. Hoping to get a custom 24 next year.

I would love to come along to this meet. it always looks like you have sun a good time in your photos. Unfortunately its at the opposite end of the UK and I have to work. If it works out that another time you have a meet I have time off work I might make it into a bit of a holiday and head south.

Try a squape. Its got all the features you mention and works really well. To be honest though your Kraken will do everything except have the deck at the bottom. Take the opposite screw out of the deck and it can be dual coiled, twist the metal top and you have adjustable airflow and it looks great as well.

I was planning to go but unfortunately I'm currently about half way between UK and Norway. It looks like everyone had a great time though and I hope to make it next year. Thanks for all the photos, faces are much better than avatars and screenames

Hi all, even though i could not grace this years festival in person, upon reading your posts although in the main it was enjoyed by most the main topic of discussion that keeps popping up from reading the posts is that a few of the vendor stalls were too small and some inaccessible, was this the general criticism overall ie: (small tents in a bigger area than last year, but still the same mad rush & crush?) sounds like they solved the problem of the area size but not the vendor tent size! would anyone who went to this years festival think that it would be beneficial to be a paid/ticketed event and held at a indoor arena, now that it is so popular and attendances going up year on year, lots of other advantages of being indoor too. Big kudos to this years organizers for organizing an ever growing event and for FREE Funny enough, I was discussing this with one of the vendors & the NEC Birmingham was mentioned......One of the things he did say though, was that the pitches for the vendors would probably be in the £1000's bracket, which could well limit it somewhat............ "Life...........is just a bowl of tricks!!!!!!" Yep the cost would be ridiculous. About 10 years ago a friend of mine and me ran a company developing educational software for use in schools and had a stall at the education show in the SECC. It was a 3 day event, our stall was 3 metres by 1 and it cost us 2500 squids.

Yep I remember someone did the same pretending to be Todd. Track them down and see how many mods can fit in a small space

Definite thumbs up for justinguitar.com really good site with tons of good quality free lessons. I would say don't worry too much at the start what it sounds like when you play, getting used to the feel of your instrument and building up muscle memory in your fingers to be able to get the right chords takes time, just make a noise and enjoy it, learn a little bit every day and you'll be surprised how quickly you'll start to improve

I've played for about 30 years and agree with the advice above. Definitely stay away from cash convertors and go to a proper shop. It isn't as easy as saying you get what you pay for either, although to some level that is the case. Different styes and makes of guitar are better for certain styles of music. Definitely don't go for cheap. It really is so much easier to make a good guitar sound good than it is to drag a tune from a piece pf plywood which is what most of the cheap ones will be made from. Basically what you are looking for is something made from real solid wood and not plywood or compressed wood chip, something with a neck that feels right in your hand, is suited to the style of music you want to play and that feels right to you. Must go and work for a while but PM me if you want to ask anything and I'll try and help out.

Seems wicking material is personal choice really. Personally I use silica because I cape mainly sweeter juices and I find it gives a better flavour. As long as you find what works for you thats all that really matters.

Try triphammer fizzy trifle. I find it a stronger flavour than the sherbet dabs. Much nicer too

Was just going to order up some 10ml samples from Joose Juice and got to the payments page but the only option on the screen is for pay pal. Anyone ordered from here and paid by credit card ? If so what am I missing. I don't have a pay pal account and don't really want one either. You might find it a lot easier with a paypal account. Most vape sites use it and when buying from any eastern establishments it provides some cover incase anything goes wrong.
