Fasttech import tax

Anyone been caught out by import tax, had to pay it?  I know that anything commercial over£15 should pay tax, but what have you been getting away with?

FT always put a very low value on the label & you only need to spend $20 to get free recorded airmail so I never had to pay anything. If I am ordering enough to split into more than one deliver I place separate orders.

I've yet to pay any excess duty on orders from China, other than when we did at one time, mega massive Group Buys from Health Cabin. Though my orders are small, low value now.

Orders from the USA have however been a different matter for me . . . . happily with a number of UK Vendors now stocking the Flavour Concentrates I like, it's been some time since I've bought from there.

UK vendors stocking HC concentrates? Or concentrates you like in general Perpetua?

UK vendors stocking HC concentrates? Or concentrates you like in general Perpetua?

Concentrates in general Mark . . .  mainly when VC mania first hit the shelves it was only possible to buy Capella or TPA flavours from the USA. Now we're spoilt for choice in the UK.

HC, I've always enjoyed their fruits - though CCW now has my fruity allegiance.

It's a huge shame that Chinese Customs group concentrates under their eliquid ruling Mark, it must have cost Amy some business.

I love their Hazelnut Coffee, a real favourite of mine, so I stocked up a while ago. But it won't last forever . . . a Group Buy to qualify for free shipping I'd suspect is the best way to buy some stuff now.

As far as I'm aware only gifts under a value of around £40 are exempt from import tax.

And as I said above they also put a minimal (cost to them IIRC is how they justify it) value on the label, I just looked at two of mine that was just over $20 to buy and the values on the label are 2.60 & 2.76 USD.

I know FT put low value on parcels but that could backfire if customs open them and then estimate the true value. Whilst it may help that FT do this most other companies like Vaporbreak & healthcabin don't. I think much of it is dependent on the carrier used myself.

I could backfire on them as you said and in my case it is totally unnecessary (they also don't put an invoice in the package for the same reason), this is partly why I try and keep my orders small, I also split by if they are in stock and the estimated stock date.
