Hi, Just finishing up me first Griz pick’n’mix and lookin for some juice advice. I’m busy ordering samples of different flavours and would like some advice on what to avoid For me first Griz ‘tester’ I got: Jamaican Fruit Punch Apples’n’ Pears Golden Burginia 666 Apple Tabac The Jamaican Fruit Punch & the Apples’n’Pears are both quite pleasant and refreshing, though without much TH. They’re quite light and cool, and I could see me getting some more as kind of a ‘refresher’ vape. Of the ‘baccy’ flavours though, I tried the GB first, and absolutely hated it, it actually made me feel a bit sick . If you’ve ever had ‘Jelly Belly’ jelly beans, there’s a popcorn flavour one that smells similar, and I find them revolting too. Anyways, I couldn’t even finish 1 carto of it. The carto was a goner too as I couldn’t boil out the smell. I then had a sniff of the 666, and it smelt so similar to the GB I couldn’t even face trying it. I then moved on to the Apple Tabac, and while a lot better than the GB, it too had just a hint of the aforementioned jelly bean, so I gave up on it. So my question is this, do all Griz / Vapeescape baccy flavours have this strange flavour? I know it can’t be all types of baccy, because I have C9V ‘Reds’ & Turkish Blend, and they don’t have it. Or is this maybe the ‘nutty’ flavour that some baccy flavours have in their description? In which case I’ll know to avoid them like the plague I know everyone’s tastes differ, but if you’ve tried the GB or 666 you’ll know the flavour I’m talking about, it’s mighty strong. Any advice appreciated, John

Hi, Just gotta say thanks to the chaps (Jason is it?) at Vapeescape. Just received my first order from them (Pic'n'mix + Boge's) today. Superfast delivery + a free driptip! Ta chaps BTW, thanks also for the biz cards you included. I'm just selling off a bunch of nic patches, nic gum etc on ebay, so I'll bung a card in each package with a suggestion that the buyers maybe try something a tad more effective (and enjoyable). Later, John

......but I had a quick blast of a skycig carto on the other and was bloomin' amazed at the amount of vapour that ensued - Holy Moley Heh, that was my reaction as well BTW, if you're refilling Sky cartos to use on the Riva, I'd advise that you screw them into the Riva to check for a good fit before filling them (I didn't lol). I've just discovered a couple of my Sky cartos don't have very well cut threads, and wouldn't fit without forcing. Which I wasn't gonna do! Seeing as I'd already filled them I was a bit pissed off , until I discovered that they do fit into my usb passthru, so I can still vape 'em. Which brings me on to a bit of kit I'd definitely advise you pick up, especially if you spend time in front of a pc. A usb passthru like this: www.cloud9vaping.co.uk/epages/yxve46fvrnud.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/yxve46fvrnud/Products/51059-S(Cloud9 Vaping is just where I got my kit, but I imagine pretty much every other vendor out there carries them as well. BTW, the Cloud9 RY4 flavour is just amazing, heh) I liked the Sky Cherry flavour too, but can't help you on finding an equivalent. There is a truly mind boggling array of flavours out there to try though, and my 'research' continues Later, John

Hi Andy, and welcome to Vaping! I too am a noob at this and started out with a Skycig kit Pretty much came to the same conclusion as you re: price, battery life, nicotine hit etc. Though I never had 2 on the go at once, heh. Anyways, the kind folks here (thanks y'all once again) pointed me at a Riva 510 as well, and it's bleedin excellent, if you'll excuse my French If you're interested, there's very good info here re: nicotine equivalence between baccy and vapour: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/index.php/beginner-ecigarette-tutorial-2.htmlAlso, once your Riva arrives, you'll find that your Sky cartomizers will fit on your Riva no problem. So don't chuck your used ones out, even though they're sold as disposable, they can easily be refilled then cleaned out and reused. There's a good 'how to' here: The guy's moustache is cool too BTW congrats on making the switch man ! Later, John

Another thought (but not so cheap) would be to stick different coloured drip tips on the cartos? Hardly anyone vapes a carto without a drip-tip, surely? So coloured drip-tips are the way to go, I'da thought scylla But I am 'hardly anyone' I tend to prefill half a dozen or so cartos, then stick the little rubber boots back on and bung them in the case with Riva to carry around. I've effectively got a pack of multi-flavoured cigs to use at will. Would using drip tips be more likely to spill/evaporate? Or are they ok to chuck about a bit? Cheers, John

Maybe get some colored markers and put a dot on the end caps might do the trick ?? Heh, already doing that. But it's not 'aesthetic' to my eye I'm a bit of a tart John

Hi All, I found these while wandering the interwebz: smokelessimage.com/accessories/multiendcaps.htmlStruck me as an excellent way of keeping track of flavours. So simple it's pure genius. Apparently they'd fit 510 Boge cartos, so I just wodered if anyone knows of a UK supplier? Cheers, John

Hi,
Yes indeedy, I am mighty pleased with Riva. Oh Yeesssss.
Come to think of it, I've boiled and cleaned some of the original SKY cartos, so I'll bung a couple of them in as well.
Cheers, John

Hi, Now that I have my shiny new Riva this is surplus to requirements. Maybe somebody here knows a smoker they could tempt with a lookalike? If so it's yours FOC. It worked for me, maybe it'll work for someone else It doesn't contain any cartos (I used em all), but the fittings are standard 510, so you can bung on a carto of whatever you like. It's only a month old and in very good nick. Piccy here if you want to take a look: www.zen86896.zen.co.uk/skycig.jpgReply if you're interested, or is there a PM function somewhere maybe? Cheers, John

Hi Perpetua, Thanks for the advice. So you're saying stick to small bottles then? I'll give the ones you suggested a try. By the way, someone on another thread here was recommending DK Tab Intense from VapourWorld, is that one you've tried? I suppose I really need to get some new cartomizers in order to give the Cloud9 juices a fair crack as well, otherwise I won't know what they 'should' taste like if you see what I mean (being as I'm using refilled SKY carts at the mo). Cheers for now, John
