Hi Peeps, Old AAE-C'er here popping in with a question I'm finally considering moving on from my old timey EGo batts and CE4's so have been wandering the internet marvelling at the vast range of high tech ecig gubbins that's now available. Dang there's a lot of it !! Anyways, I alighted on this: Innokin Kroma-R Zlide KitIt seems to hit all the right criteria for me. Simple no faff operation, cheap to run, Cig like draw etc etc. I've watched and read some reviews, and the Zlide tank seems well thought of. I've always liked Phil Busardo's approach, and he seems to be involved in it's design. Anyone got experience of this kit/tank? Any tips/info/bewares? Thanks for any input, John P.S. FAO Forum admin, this MTL section is the only general interest subforum here that requires a log in to view, all the rest eg Beginners, General etc can be viewed without a log in. Maybe open this one up for Joe Public? Classic (MTL) Vaping style is prob the next most important for smokers to see after the beginners area ?

hi john i may have a few of these somewhere but they were not as great as they were in the early days, i will have look but i may have chucked them as was getting bads and duds. i switched to these www.fasttech.com/p/3932500 with this www.fasttech.com/p/3932401 they are perfect if your regular method is boges, there better in every way and more reliable. im old school vaper who hasnt moved on as well. Hi Ragjoy, Well if you find any kicking about, please bear me in mind Those things you linked look interesting. I'm doing a lot of to-ing and fro-ing in my searches, trying to find equivalents between the ton of stuff on fastech and uk vendors. Was quite happy with my Boges for so long, that I never really thought about having to find a replacement. All the best, John

Hi, Considering I've never owned a mod, let alone one that needs separate batteries, I found myself being drawn in and watching these vids! I have to say, these are excellent video guides, easy to watch and really clear explanations. Nice find! Cheers, John P.S. Just finished watching all 4 Episodes now. And dang, I'd recommend anyone with any interest at all in mods, or even just general interest in rechargable batteries watch these vids (starting with Ep.1). Mooch is a true educator, I've rarely seen anything of this quality.

flimflam I'm so sorry , I found the boxes of cartomisers & they aren't Boge LR In fact they have a 901 fitting Hi Chrissie, No problem. It was a generous offer, and as the saying goes, it's the thought that counts! Cheers, John

I was in a similar spot to you a couple of years ago, happily using carto tanks and ego batteries. Since switched to low end VW devices and cheap clone tanks (rebuildable) plus I use Aspire CE5 clearos (with steel jackets) on my old ego batteries, but won't replace them when they inevitably die. I have had to lay out a bit of cash to get into a later geological era but I don't regret it. Hi Dom, long time no see. You calling me a dinosaur?? I did try some Clearos when they first appeared on the scene, no idea what version they were, early models I assume, and they weren't that great. I assume later iterations improved, are CE5's the final version? While hunting for Boge Cartos I've found a bunch of amazon and ebay sellers offering Clearos, but i've no idea what type or quality they are. I remember quite a few people here took to Clearos, and there were even people using them as 'rebuildables' if I recall correctly.

I think that's a good suggestion by Perpetua .Times have changed and there's some excellent kit about for your style of vaping, and cheap to boot 👍😊 You and Perps may be right, perhaps it's time I considered dragging myself out the stoneage! That said, I have half a dozen 900mah Rivas sitting here that the tightwad in me would hate seeing go to waste! flimflam I'm fairly certain that I have some Boge cartos kicking around somewhere. Can't remember if they are LR or not, if they are, they are yours for free. Dang Chrissie, that's extremely generous! That would be very much appreciated indeed! Cheers all, John

Perpetua I took your recommendations on board I ordered from joosejuice and rejoiced I also visited my local B&m store and purchased a one shot mix ......I can't thank you enough ...I'm vaping it now just as you said no faff and it tastes wonderful ...... You might also want to try onepoundeliquid.com. As the name suggests it's a quid a bottle. Pink LemonadeThey don't have a raspberry sherbet or pink grapefruit but there's plenty of others to try out. Good inexpensive way to try out some different flavours, i don't buy ready made juice myself these days but i have bought some juices from there in the past the quality is excellent it's not cheap because it's crap. I second this recommendation wholeheartedly! OnepoundeliquidI've tried quite a few flavours from this vendor, and in general they're equal or superior to much more expensive competitors. I bought maybe 20-25 different flavours a couple of years back as a tester, was really impressed by the quality, and since then have bought pretty much exlusively from here. Cheers, John P.S. Welcome back

Hi Perps and peeps ! Thanks for the replies Vapingthings has always been my first port of call, but though he still lists them, they've been out of stock for months now. Evape was a decent fallback, but they're not even listing them now. Thanks for taking a look jtc, it's much appreciated. Meanwhile I'll keep poking around the interwebz and see if I can dig up a UK supplier before taking a look at overseas ones. If nothing turns up I'll maybe be asking for advice on what 'modern' gubbins might make a good replacement. Boge Cartos were among the first things I tried, and were pretty much an instant hit for me. Compared to the travails that many people go through when they take up vaping, I think I was lucky in finding that the combination of simplicity, tightness of draw, flavour and economy that they provide suited me perfectly. All the best, John

Hi all, Old returning AAE-C'er here I swing by every now and again to lurk and check on all this new fangled vaping stuff y'all discuss in these here parts, but haven't posted in ages. I first popped up here at the back end of 2011, and Chrissie, Perps, Scylla et al pointed me at the right gear to keep me safely off the ciggies. Said gear consisted of Riva batteries and Boge Cartomisers, they did the job nicely, and I've happily been vaping away on this combination ever since But now I have a problem, my usual suppliers of Boge LR Cartos seem never to have any stock, and search as I may I cannot seem to find any other reputable and reasonably priced UK stockists I see there are still quite a few familiar faces around from back in the day (even Blakey and River ), so my question is this, do any of you forum veterans know of any good vendors who still carry Boges? Fingers crossed, John

Yes Chrissie, when I saw the list of 208 birthdays for 1st of January it was a bit of a surprise, and I agree with what you say above, it's just a shame that the users who regularly frequent the forum (i.e. those listed above) don't change the date to their true Birthday as I'm sure it would mean more to receive greetings from friends/fellow members on their actual Birthday rather than a random date. I agree Di & if they are worried about giving their full DOB, they don't have to - they can just add the day & month But I'm 115 years old! Honest!
