@bomber Shedloads of good advice on yer probs already, so I won't add any - other than stick with it matey. You will find some juices that you can live with eventually. Heh, they nearly all taste better than real ciggies Hey, hold on a few more days till you come over my house, your welcome to try everything I got, if you still feel the same and it's not your clearo's or taste buds at least you gave it one hell of a go Sandra, for God's sake get him to try a couple of Boge LR's

I tried some of this, because I used to smoke OH and I still miss the taste, but it didn't do it for me. It tasted a little like chinese five spice and not a lot like OH. Then I accidentally used the last of it to refill a clearo that had El Toro Cigarillo in. The result was awesome. Old Holby - for me, at least - lacked a certain 'tobaccoeyness" and the Cigarillo was a pleasant enough tobacco but lacked a depth of flavour. But the two together are a very satisfying vape indeed. It's still not exactly OH, but it's more than close enough. Interesting you say that. I was thinking of picking up some HS Delight or HS Impulse and trying mixing them with Old Holby. They both have a 'straight' ciggy taste which could well complement the OH in the way you mention. I dont claim its exactly like OH to be honest, but it certainly is liquorice without the aniseed tanginess, quite good and better after 4-5 days, I have it in 2 setups at the moment and must say dripping is better. Yeah, for me the Old Holby comes across as if you were smoking the smell of Old Holburn, rather than actually burning and smoking it. If that makes any sense, heh Will defo be getting some more in me next order. Samples all gone now :-[

This little 5ml sample's taking a right beating so it is :-[ Thanks for the review Flimflam, I was the same when I tried it, couldn't put my finger on what that familiar taste was... Heh, yeah. Dunno why it took me so long to work out though, seeing as the clue's in the name

The Vapeescape folks kindly bunged a sample of Grizwald’s ‘Old Holby’ into me last order, so I thought I’d stick a review up here for anyone interested. The short version: Oh Ma Gawd! Bladdy Excellent! Grizwald is a freakin Genius! The slightly longer version: Grizwald’s ‘Old Holby’, PG/VG mix (dunno the percentages), 20mg strength, vaped in a LR 2ohm Boge carto on a 650mAh Riva battery (me usual setup). First off, on opening the bottle and taking a sniff I immediately thought ‘dang, that smells familiar’, but I couldn’t place it. It’s kind of like liquorice without the aniseed. There’s also a very slight ‘perfumey’ aroma. On top of that I also get hints of a rich fruit cakey flavour coming through, Dundee cake? Or Xmas cake? Spicy rather than sweet anyway. Suffice to say, it bugged the hell out me for several hours, until after vaping it all evening it suddenly dawned on me that it’s exactly the smell of a freshly opened pack of Old Holborn. It’s bleedin uncanny. So on to the vape. Me usual vapes are 24mg, so was expecting this 20mg sample to be a bit milder. Not so! Throat hit is excellent, and the pg/vg mix gives a very satisfying vapour output. The flavour is deep and rich, with all the elements I mentioned above coming through - enhanced big style if exhaled through the neb. Weirdly, back when I used to smoke Old Holborn I used to find that it was such a rich dark flavour, and such a punchy hit, that I never needed too many tokes to be satisfied. Chain smoking the stuff just didn’t happen. The very same seems to apply to this juice, I find that two or three vapes does the job. Wrapping up me ramblings then. This is an exceptional juice. Somehow Griz has managed to bottle the essence of Old Holborn rolling baccy. Vaping it is to me, like smoking the smell of yer actual real baccy without any of that burning nonsense. Definitely one of the best ‘baccy’ juices I have ever tried. And, by a long mile, the closest to an actual rollie experience I have tasted. If you’ve ever smoked Old Holborn, or are even just looking for a top quality ‘baccy’ juice, I heartily recommend that you try this. Signing off, John

Hi Greeny,
That kit looks ok, but the site is in Greece and it looks like they're just drop shippers. I.E. they'll take yer cash, but the goods ship from a third party in China.
Quote from thier website: Orders for e-cigarettes & accessories are shipped direct from the manufacturer. We do not take responsibility for orders lost in transit on Free shipping unless 'insurance against loss' has been chosen at checkout.
IMO you'd be better buying from a reputable UK vendor like the one Chrissie linked to for example.
Cheers, John
Edit: Heh, Karma beat me to it!

Hi Karma, Ta for that. I'd been avoiding those ones coz I seem to recall some threads from a while back where some folks reckoned they didn't kick out enough power. But if yours works ok then that's good enough for me . Cheaper too, which is nice. John

Ratty, Assuming you haven't been chucking it at a wall or some such, get in touch with the vendor. If they're worth thier salt they should replace it free of charge. And if not, name 'em and shame 'em! Considering the sheer number of vendors popping up everywhere, every vaper should really have this page bookmarked IMO: www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/consumer-rights-refunds-exchange#goodsExtract from the relevant section: Since 2003, consumers have had extra benefit from The Sale And Supply of Goods To Consumers Regulations.
When goods are faulty, if you return them within six months then it's up to the shop to prove they weren't faulty when you bought them. After this, the burden of proof shifts and it's up to you to prove they were faulty when you bought them. It still surprises me that even vendors I'd consider 'respectable' continue to state that they offer '3 month warranties' etc on stuff with replaceable batteries etc. Folks wouldn't put up with that kind of thing on a 'real world' purchase like a radio or some such Hope you get it sorted out satisfactorily, John

Heh, also, just to add a bit of confusion, the Ego K's are unregulated, so vape like a Riva! Shoulda mentioned earlier, not everything sold as an 'Ego' is actuallly an Ego Ego was originally a brand name by Joyetech, since adopted by loads of other manufacturers.

which ego is the most powerfull that will take a ce5 clearomizer. Depends what you mean by power mate. If you mean which will last longer between charges, then that's down to the physical size and capacity in milliampere-hours (mAh). The three most commonly available sizes are 650, 900 and 1100 mAh. This pic should help: Then it's just down to which size you're most comfortable with in your hand / pocket. Me, I prefer the 650's. Otherwise, the difference between Egos and Rivas is that Egos deliver a regulated voltage and Rivas deliver an unregulated voltage. In use this translates as a warmer vape from a Riva, which as the battery runs down gradually gets cooler. Some folks prefer this to the constant (cooler) vape that you get off an Ego (me for one ) Hope that helps, John
