I'll ask 'Doris' when i go and see her at the office tomorrow I'll post here rather than dig out your other thread. In case you hadn't spotted it, the TPD is suddenly of immense concern to UK retailers (it's like they've only just noticed it!) so any sense of how the Chinese manufacturers and distributors are thinking about dealing with the regulations will be very gratefully appreciated, I'm sure.

ah crap, I did not know that. Just ordered a load of concentrates which are TPA too If you placed the Chefs order this afternoon and that's all you need, either drop them an email tonight explaining that you hadn't been able to find it on the website (it's listed under Additives) and they may be able to add it to your order (and send you paypal link to pay the extra) or give them a call first thing in the morning. They're very friendly and understand that we all make mistakes from time to time.

Never knew about a five pound coin, is it just new? No, according to wikipedia they've been around since 1990 as a commemorative coin that's also legal tender.

A month later and the atomiser is retailing online for around £18 with a few places offering promotional offers down as low as £15. The coils are now available online at £15 for 5 (expensive but not outrageous). Still no sign of the RBA section but I'm tempted to grab one one tonight (on a special, special offer for members of Approved Vapers) from John's Bold Vape.

I've been recommending one very similar to dagl's except that for a few extra quid, you can over-ride the auto-off settings so you'll never lost where you are while mixing. It's called the On Balance Envy NV-500 and it'll cope with 500g total weight to an accuracy of 0.01g and costs £11.99 +£2.99 shipping from Cream SuppliesIf you can manage to concentrate for more than a 2 minutes, I'm sure the cheaper ones will do fine. Just in case dagl's link stops working, here's another ebay seller of the I-2000 for almost the same price. If you can't imagine ever wanting to make more than say 50ml of one juice, you could do worse than to chose the excellent Smart Weigh SWS100 (100g max, 0.01g accuracy, 60sec time-out for less than £10) from Amazon. Just in case anyone can't figure out how to use the settings to over-ride the auto-off settings on the NV-500 1. The default Auto-Off setting is 180 seconds if inactivity[sic]. 2. To change the Auto-Off time setting or disable this function, please follow these steps: a. Turn on the scale by pressing "ON/OFF" key and wait until "0.0" is displayed. b. Press & hold the "TARE" key for 5 seconds until "180" is displayed. Press "MODE" key to cycle through your choices of "0 / 60 / 120 / 180" seconds. Turn off the scale, Auto-Off setting is completed. c. Turn on the scale. If user chooses "0" seconds in previous step, it means the Auto-Off function is disabled. To keep a longer battery life, please turn the scale off by pressing the "ON/OFF" key after each use.

Gawd stop it I'm trying not to spend but I'm on that verge of upping my game on the DIY gawd how do I resist all this Oh this is easy stuff. If you think you've got problem now, just wait until somebody mentions Flavorah! Oops sorry. What's so special about Flavorah? Just to give an example, think about a recipe for "a dense, chocolate, coconut cupcake with a sweet butter cream frosting." What's it going to be, half a dozen flavourings at 15-18% total? Now go and look at this recipe.(Nobody in the UK has any of that Flavorah Chocolate Deutsch just yet but I expect it'll be here soon.)

He's an absolute legend that man I was reading before how he created a bubble gum with flavours you wouldn't believe. But the different chemicals make it the exact American bubbly from the past apparently. The man's a genius Or is it a woman? He - I'm pretty sure it's a he, though I can't immediately find any proof - has a couple of fairly amazing 'discoveries' to his name. Another one was adding some Acetyl Pyrazine to Chocolate and Cocoa... Recipe and an interesting discussion continues further down the thread

He's changing that bloody page every time I go there - last time it was just that stupid PDF scroll-thru viewer thing, now it's the text. Probably still worth grabbing the full pdf so that if / when he changes his mind and deletes all the text (again), you've still got a copy of the original 'bible'.

Doesn't appear to be tsoko , as you have to name ( and pay ) a ' fair price ' to access the information . . . . . I'm far too tight to recommend something you have to pay for without moaning about it...

HIC's Notes on FlavourArt Flavourings: I'd urge everyone who regularly uses FA flavours to get hold of a copy of HIC's invaluable Notes on FlavourArt Flavors by signing up at gumroad.com/l/GwMpo#. You'll receive an email with a download link for a pdf of this ultimate reference work on FA concentrates. Grab it while you can, read it, read it again, refer to it every single day - I can't recommend it highly enough. Is this a free download? Yes, completely free. HIC has changed the text a bit but he told me he wouldn't be charging for the basic pdf. And I've never had any spam to the address I used to sign up either.

Prospects for juice makers look dire however. I've now had three people-who-ought-to-know confirm that they believe that every variant of an individual juice (eg. 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg for each pg/vg mix eg. 50/50, 35/65, 20/80) will need it's own set of expensive toxicology tests and related analyses. Lots of figures for these tests are being banded around (most I suspect are imaginary) but it looks almost inevitable to me that the costs will be enormous and way beyond the reach of all but the most profitable juice companies. This unfortunately was always going to be a likely consequence of any legislation I think ceedee , many moons ago Dave Dorn and myself did a piece on Vapour Trails TV looking at just such a scenario - basing it on what had happened in the Health Shop market and the new regulation that had taken effect there. ( For example a herbal remedy such as Evening Primrose Oil - every strength of capsule, requiring testing/certification. ) How much each set of tests/approvals costs will no doubt be the deal breaker, we can only hope that they will be affordable for the majority rather than the minority, even if it should mean deleting some of the strengths from within a range. Whatever the cost - it will be a nice little earner to swell Government coffers. I knew it would be bad but not this bad. I thought 'they' would find a way to test say the juice without the nicotine as one element, and then just the nicotine, as another. Rather than have to fork out for 12 bloody tests covering every possible permutation. And all the testing will done by private labs so there won't even be a penny going to the government. Hell, even the MHRA's fees have been calculated only to recoup their costs administering the notification/approval scheme.

Yes, as expected they are after the money, the tax loss needs to be made up somewhere. The mods are tbh are more difficult to regulate or manage as its just that a mod, but the device for delivering the "tax", sorry the juice can be managed and they can also claim health risks and nicotine control. We're facing the very real prospect of going from well over a thousand juice makers producing perhaps five thousand individual juices lines down to maybe a dozen large juice houses producing maybe 250 juices, all within the next 15 months. Potential taxation just ain't a concern right now.
