It is a Samsung Li-Ion battery ICR18650-22F 3,7V, 2200mAh bought from AmazonIts only about a week old so yeah was in perfect condition Wow an unprotected Li-Ion ICR. Your lucky you got it to stop shorting in time. This is why I say using ICR unprotected batteries is dangerous. They can short, and this one has. Please, use an IMR battery when you get a new one, If they short they vent liquid. ICR's will explode violently.
Good god i'm an idiot, lesson learnt here today

Crossed post, but same idea. You can check the tank with a multimeter or electronic mod. I'd have thought that if you aren't building your own coils you'd be better off with an electronic mod anyway. I've built my own coils for a while now but this my first mech mod, guess stock coils are a no no on mech mods then, not sure checking it would have made a difference because it fired fine, shorted out mid drag

I looked at the FT mod and it looks OK in terms of how the battery is insulated on the top and bottom. The battery shouldn't short on the mod case as long as the wrapper on the battery is not damaged and exposing the metal of the battery underneath. I would think the fault was the coil in the tank shorting. If the coil shorts then you are in effect shorting the battery. This is the reason we all say 'test the coil before using'. I wouldn't use that battery again the wrapper is now damaged and that could short now if the metal touches it. It looks like the battery got very hot so you've had a near miss there. Wow that sucks, it wasnt a new coil btw, ive been using it for maybe 4 days, its a stock Aerotank mega coil, noway i could have avoided that happening

Hiya, So yesterday my Launcher V2 from Fastech arrived, It worked fine yesterday and all of today but then i swapped tanks, fired it and felt the fire button get really hot as i was pressing it, i quickly took the battery out and saw this The rubber gromet from the inside of the mod was stuck to it and there is a scorch mark inside the case of the mod aswell, the tank that i had attached died in this incident aswell, ive since swapped coils and brought it back to life. So anyone know what happened here ? was it the coil shorting which then shorted the battery (is this even possible) or maybe i didnt have the battery screwed in tight enough in the mod so it touched the side of the case ?? Also would you say that battery is now ruined ? Cheers for any help

I vape indoors whoever is here. I don't vape in shops or enclosed spaces where children could be out of my home. I do vape in the open air but take a little care around children. I do vape in pubs as they are adult environments (where it's allowed). I try not to offend anyone with my vaping and treat each situation as it arises. Yeah pretty much same as me, i vape like how i used to smoke, i even go outside at pubs to vape, just feels wrong doing it indoors, is just weird i dont give vaping inside at home a second thought, seems totally ok even though i never used to smoke analogs inside at home

Hola,
So the point of this thread is to establish what the norm is for us vapers with regards to vaping in the home and more importantly around children, I did some Google searching prior to making the thread but there doesn't really seem to be a lot of recent opinion with regards to this subject, a lot of the information is from 2012 / 2013 so I thought a new thread in which people might have up to date information as to whether vaping around kids is either acceptable or not could be a good idea.
I have 2 kids, an 11 year old and a 3 year old, I have always vaped in the house, and I do vape around them, I don't produce massive clouds and I don't blow it in there direction, I also try not to vape while my 3 year old is looking at me (him staring at me wondering what I'm doing freaks me out a little) there is however a smell that's left lingering (custard, yum yum ) and this is what has led me to ask the above question, my wife is an ex smoker of 4 years and of course she worries for her children's health, she often comments that she can smell my vape, I of course say don't worry, quite often relay the information I have read about e-juice ingredients being harmless to secondary people and most of the nicotine has been absorbed by myself and the minuscule particles left in the air are of no harm to anybody, but alas I don't think she believes me.
So although I don't really get any grief from my other half other than the odd comment about smell, I am starting to think as to whether I should be vaping around my kids, is it an irresponsible thing to be doing ? I haven't ever really given it a second thought but I am super interested to see what the general consensus is from the awesome folks at AAEC.
My personal view is that no harm will ever come to kids because of my vaping, Its pretty well stated that second hand vape has little to no health implications for bystanders, I would personally worry more about car exhaust fumes whilst outside, or the long term health risks from fizzy drinks, crisps, chocolate and all junk food, I am though looking for any information that anybody may have that shows I am wrong.
So do you ?
Don't you ?
Am I going to hell ?

Quick and possibly stupid question incoming .......... i see alot of romcards being posted with mixes i would like to try but they all have a nicotine base at 54mg, i have 72mg nic base, does this make the romcards not suitable for me ? do you guys have both 72mg and 54mg nic base ? I think i'm being a bit thick here but i just cant get my head around it :-) Don't worry about the nic base in the recipe cards joojitsoo. The only thing you need to worry about is the flavour concentrate %s. Put them into a calculator, with your nic base and preferred nic and pg/vg ratio and use the recipe that the calculator gives you. The romcards are only to tell you how much of each flavour you need to add. And you have been here long enough to know that there is no such thing as a stupid question... ask away and someone will always help Nice one cheers lairey that Nic base point was really bugging me, now its all cleared up im off shopping Blooody love these forums

Thanks for suggestions Does anyone thing there is any real value in buying one of these MOD things that have a battery? When I add up the cost of the charger etc Im not convinced Im going to be better off in the long run I have used an EGO Twist and an Itaste VV for about 5 months and they are perfectly adequate ....... however last weekend i bought and Itaste SVD with 1 battery and a charger for about £70 and daaaaaaamn do i love vaping with that thing, its not because it gives a better vape than my other batteries but its just the feel of it, its like holding a lightsaber in your hand, its big and heavy and feels awesome, personally it has vastly improved my vaping enjoyment and is easily worth the cash i paid for it

You've really got to get into mixing stamford, unless someone can mix it for you. I made my first 30ml of Custardy Lovechild yesterday, ive never mixed anything before It really is super easy, especially being as your following a tried and tested recipe ....just got to wait 4 weeks to try it now
