If you're a moth to lung vaper you might be better off with something like the Kayfun 4. I've tried mouth to lunging a subtank and it just doesn't work! Not so, small drip tip and one airhole is fine for mouth to lung. My wife is using 3 of mine I should probably say they don't work that well for mouth to lung when compared to something specifically designed for that style of vaping.

Iv just gave the subtank a go at 40w it was a bit better but I'm more of a mouth to lung type of guy tbh. If you're a moth to lung vaper you might be better off with something like the Kayfun 4. I've tried mouth to lunging a subtank and it just doesn't work!

What sort of W are you using on the subtank ? Iv got a .9 build in it at the moment and iv opened up the juice channels for a better juice flow. I really want to like the subtank but it's just the flavour that is holding it back for me. whats the isub like, I know it don't have a Rba but was thinking it may be ok for a work atty. I run my subtank between 23w and 26w on a 0.5 ohm build with the airflow wide open.

I found the old one a pain csmith10. I like a high vg so it was dry hit central. Might be ok with temp control though. I'm gonna file out the juice channels on the old one but didn't want to do it until I had a back up Yeah I filed out my juice channels in my old RBA's and it made them a lot more forgiving with high VG, all I had to do was move the cotton away from the channels and I was good to go! Seems these new ones are a bit more sensitive.

Well it's built csmith10. And I have to say it's vaping quite well. I've put a nickel build in and the flavour is good. I'm at 420f and 29 watts. I just built it, put the barrel down over the wicks, trimmed them and tucked them down. I pulled a tiny bit out the holes then tucked it back so the holes are filled How close to the top of the barrel did you trim the tails? All the videos I've seen leave the tails quite long and end up stuffing what looks like a lot of cotton! My second attempt didn't work either so wicking version 3.0 is a pancake type affair where I've cut the tails quite short, fluffed them up then juiced them up, slipped the barrel over the top and just tweaked it so the cotton is over the holes but not pulled though them in any way. So far no dry hits with this method! The funny thing is the old RBA was a doddle to wick, I could do just about anything and it would work!.

I got mine yesterday coiled with a standard kanthal build but I'm not getting the same flavour as the older deck arrangement so I'll be interested to hear if you get the same results or not. I didn't get round to doing mine last night. Gonna try and do it today. How did you arrange your wick? In still playing with the wick as when I did it the way the videos show all I get is dry hits even at my usual 23w. What I'm trying at the moment is less cotton with both ends twisted to a point and pulled though the holes then trimmed flush against the barrel.

Mine has arrived today. Looks to be an authentic kanger. The holes are further down the chamber than I expected, they are almost on the deck so should be able to vape the tank to basically empty. I'm gonna put a nickel build in there later, will report back. First impressions are good though I got mine yesterday coiled with a standard kanthal build but I'm not getting the same flavour as the older deck arrangement so I'll be interested to hear if you get the same results or not.

I may be way off the mark here, still waiting for my first TC mod from FT, so no direct experience, but I am puzzled. I understand the advantage of TC for an RDA, where you can't see the juice level, and if you forget to top up, you get a dry hit & burnt cotton. But with a tank system, you can see if you have juice in the tank, and with most modern tanks you shouldn't be getting dry hits ever. So what's the point of TC on an RTA? as a very new vaper and very new at TC the 2 main advang=tages i can see are 1) drain the tank dry with confidence 2) if your wicking is off you can avoid the dry hits.. have been building on a squape relooaded clone (Cheers @spikeyfridge) recently and its verry fussy about the wick.. Tho ni200 coil building is a whole new game.. softer and way more mailable metal.. Am I right in thinking you've picked up an SXK nebula? If so you can ditch the nickel and by using the nickel purity feature, run titanium or stainless wire.

I may be particularly non sweet toothed as I only use 0.25% Ethyl Maltol in 100% PG anything stronger and it get too sweet for me. I usually add 8/9 drops of sweetener per tank!!

Could your nic be going bad? its the only thing i can think as it would account for the improvement. I mixed Mom and Pop's Raspberry Tart today at 15% 3mg nic and its pretty good, It was the same nice base I had used on all my mixes without any issues. I'm wondering if one of the flavours reacted with the nic or the combination of the high VG, and low airflow of the KFL meant the flavour was overheating without burning! Either way I'm really liking it now, I'm going to do a mix tonight with this and New York cheesecake!

Hi So has anyone tried out titanium for coil making yet? I've got a Hana V4S clone coming that apparently supports Ti wire so thought I'd give it a go as I like the idea of slightly higher ohm coils than you can generally make when compared to nickel. Can anyone recommend a gauge to use? I see the vape mesh company do grade 1 in 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5mm. I should probably mention I'll be using it in my subtank mini RDA.
Cheers Chris

So you're happy with how the chip works in TC? Yep works fine....think it's the geeco (spelling) chip. That's what I wanted to hear, someone who's used the chip for some time, other than the 40f difference would you say it performs on par with a DNA40?
