Wasn't sure where to post this as it's not a straight diy mixology question so hope it's ok here Has anyone here used 8 bit vape before? I really want to find a creamy and full of flavour Butterscotch angel delight type eliquid, and the only place I could see one is on Triphammers site (had just ordered a 5ml sample before I then found 8 Bit Vape). This site lets you create your own mixes - but I'm confused about quantities and strengths of flavourings ??? So - I obviously choose Butterscotch (Cupcake World), but which type of cream do I add? They have Bavarian Cream (Kandi Hed), Creamy Milk (Kandi Hed), Dulce De Leche (TPA), Fresh Cream (Kandi Hed), Milksake Base (Big Juice) or Sweet Cream (TPA)? Also, would I need to add any caramel/custard flavour or extra sweetner? Or would this sort of mix not require added sweetner ? I'm so confused and no nothing about concentrates with regard to which companies make the best ones!! Perpetua I'm tagging you as I see you make a lot of your own mixes and have great knowledge!!! Any advice anybody.....pleeeease?

Now that I've started making my own coils (yay ) to use in my nature vape minis and mini protank 2 I decided to search for some of those little insulator grommets to keep in reserve as I'm sure I'll need them at some point!!. I came across Lightening Vapes, and as I couldn't find any in the UK decided to order a pack of 25. It came to £9.88 including shipping and I didn't have any additional tax to pay. I can't remember an option for free shipping Ordered on 3rd Aug, shipped on 4th and arrived here 14th. After I'd ordered them my brother then sent me a link for some he'd found on ebay. Mine still worked out cheaper (and are exactly the same) even factoring in the postage cost. They aren't something I'll go through at a rate of knots, but I like knowing they are there just in case!!

Why thank you charliehorse buggritt - unfortunately I live in a small place, so to change surgery would mean having to go miles further and be a pain. I've never liked her attitude/general manner in the 9 years she's been my GP, so if I need to see a doctor I always try and make sure it's one of the others!!

When I told my doctor I'd given up smoking and was vaping, she said to me in a patronising tone "oh you don't want to be using those e cigerettes - I've read reports and they kill people".
I was gobsmacked by her attitude - not even a "well done" for stopping smoking.

I bought 2 NV mini's not long after I discovered vaping - I was recommended them as an upgrade to the rubbish disposable ce4's I started with. Both original coils lasted over 4 months (could probably have kept going longer if I didn't vape so much gloopy custard ), are so simple to re-wick however often you want to, and my personal experience of the tanks and the coils has been very positive - the flavour I get is superb. Yes - I agree they're pricey and when I ordered a couple of spare coils a while back I was peed off about the postage cost for a tiny thing that weighed next to nothing . That spurred me on to see if my clumsy hands could ever successfully build coils and amazingly I did my first one today!! It works really well and I feel like the cat that got the cream

Well - to be honest, anywhere North of St Michaels Mount counts as nearly abroad when you live this close to the end of the world

Not sure if I'll be able to make this one - I have that week off work so was thinking about going away somewhere... If I stay put in Cornshire though, I'll hopefully be there

I'm uber chuffed with myself this morning - just managed to get this mini blow torch Tala blow torch totally free!! It was £20 but tesco had a £5 off code which took it to £15 and then using £7.50 worth of club card vouchers - which were doubled in their club card boost offer - left me with a grand total of £0.00 to pay Am on my way to coil building!! Just need some flat nose tweezers with heat resistant grips so I don't burn my fingerprints off

zeldamum - so many thanks for a wonderful afternoon, and to Arcadia for the lovely cakes. It was so lovely to see so many people in the shop, and all of them having a great time. Great to see wibble, Q, cornish, Chrissie and captainbongo again, and fantastic to finally meet BrenD, silas and spacey for the first time. And of course Kelly, Martin, the newest vaper on the block, and anyone else I have forgotten! I hope that the various coils and wicks I helped with last well, and don't forget you are welcome to PM me if you want some more advice in the future. I managed to get home in 35 minutes, which surprised me as it seemed uphill for 3/4 of the way!!! Really looking forward to our next meet on the 31st in Par - hope everyone can make it again, we are all such a friendly bunch We managed to get home in just under an hour and a half (better than the 3 & 1/4 hours it took us to get down there!!) Ha ha wibble I hope you weren't harrasing any more cows on the return trip

Thank you everyone I met today for such a lovely afternoon It's quite nerve racking when you've not met people before and I was a bit worried I'd feel awkward - nothing was further from the truth though and I'm so glad I came along. From the wonderful Chrissie with her Vape Museum in a bag to Mr Fixit chykensa for patiently showing me how to make a coil and answering all my questions (I was half way home before I realised I'd forgotten to buy some of those wires off Helen though ) Huge thank you though to zeldamum and Arcadia for the hospitality and many cups of tea I drank And to BrenD for making me laugh with his long suffering glances and comments towards his nutty friend Ben (who was also a star )

Thank you sleedale I've been using the same NV coils for 4/5 months (obviously re wicking them frequently!!) and have found that even pulsing/burning the coils before rewicking is no longer getting rid of the black gunk that is under where the coil sits (if that makes sense). I'll have a good read of that link you posted Yep, I do have an MVP to check the ohms (well two MVPs actually....couldn't resist the pretty colours!) so just need the other bits and bobs and I'll be giving it a try...

Silas - are you hoping to get to zeldamum's shop today for the Minimeet? If so, I have my mate James' Kayfun empty and needing a new coil at the moment, I could bring it along and recoil it in front of you to give you an idea of what it's all about ETA: have I done it again and confused you with someone else? You do live in Cornwall, don't you . . . ? . . . Ooh I'm interested in a demo of this please - I'm popping along to the mini meet

Really helpful thread for me - thanks sleedale as you've asked loads of stuff that I've been wondering recently! I think maybe a Kayfun and learning to recoil (you're a step a head of me in that dept as I've yet to try recoiling!) is where my vaping journey takes me next... I love the taste from my nature vape coils (in nature vape tanks and protank 2) so assume I'd get similar. Or maybe learning to recoil nv heads should be first before moving on. Did you find it easy to do? Have watched a fair few videos - just need to take the plunge!!

Hi reddragon Without wishing to add to your confusion, I highly recommend these clearomisers link if you want something of good quality that isn't see through! I have 2 that I've been using for around 4 months as my 'work vape' and had no probs at all with leaking. They look nice too Just buy a 5 pack of replacement coils (which work out at around £1.50 per coil depending where you get them) - and change the coil when needed - they seem to work well for 3 / 4 weeks. I just find them a practical, cheap and unbreakable option for work
