Thanks to this ace forum I've progressed from aspire bdc tanks and ego power, to mini protanks 2 NV mini and protank 2 with MVP and spinner 2 power, which I'd never have discoverd on my own, so thank you ive also learned to make my own coils, rewick coils, dry burn and rewick so saving time and money, so thank you once more and I'll be heading off into mixing hopefully, when I can buy some basic supplies to start off, so another thank you so.....what other tanks could I look at that I'd be able to make coils for? All the shineynew superduper ones seem to be dual coil, vertical coil, or more complicated things......oh, and some of them are not cheap! I don't want loads, just a couple more maybe, or should I just stick to protanks, mini or otherwise or NV? I'm also a bit curious about drippers? (sounds slightly odd) People seem to use them for testing juices? Don't understand them at all? and just in case In advance

Where is it? Etc etc. sorry for being so dim, but words of one syllable or even better, pictures and I might start to understand

Very kind words sleedale, its nice to know that all those recommendations from everyone, do help. The davide mentioned above is like an improved protank2, but ask me why I think its improved, I just like it better. Normal version or mega, depends on what size you prefer. The aerotank is a good tank and the version 2 so supposed to have a great airflow control on it. I have the standard one and its very good. I don't see any reason why you shouldn't consider a KFL They are a much better vape and flavour than any of the tanks that use the BC coil heads, I only tried recoiling a kanger head after I had ordered a KFL (to get a bit of practice before it arrived) and my first attempt with the KFL worked fine. By the time I had done 3 or 4 rebuilds I had it nailed, with a bit of advice from fellow vapers here. Here is a basic kayfun build that i used before making changes to how I wick it today. Its a clear and easy to follow video. Drippers give good flavour and are easy to use. I would bypass getting a bridgeless one as I found them a bit rubbish. I cant recommend a good single coil dripper as I only have duel and quad coil drippers. Couldn't find a good video, but you just make a micro coil and wick with cotton and drip juice on it till the wick is saturated. Then put the top on and vape till it starts to dry up and repeat.

If you can recoil an Evod/ protank then a kayfun is far easier to recoil as you have much more room. The only hard part with the kayfun is getting the wick right, some crack it straight away and some take a while but once you get it right it's really is a good vape. There loads of videos on how to set a kayfun up on YouTube whether you want cotton or silica wicks.

Yes it does seem the m-vapes KFL has had good reviews.
I don't know what it is but on the pic on the website, im sure I can see burring on the juice channels, obviously its not otherwise people would have said.

I can highly recommend mvapes Kayfun, very well made and for some reason worked slightly better for me than a original Kayfun.

I got a few of these sleedale www.fasttech.com/products/1707205 only £4.26 with airflow control. They are dual coiled but I replaced that with my normal single coil and rayon had no leaks. I just make sure that the rayon is fluffed on the tails enough to fill the gap. They are quite similar to protank minis. I don't use extra grommets at all.

sleedale - a Russian or Kayfun Lite is quite within your grasp now as you can recoil and rewick, so go for it! There are lots of helpful videos around, and the massed experience of all of us on the forum, and once you have it up and running you will never look back, I promise! Rather than having to bury a microcoil inside a Protank head, the build deck on a KF is high and really accessible. Get yourself some .3 or .32 Kanthal, and away you go. Sure it's a learning curve like everything, but once you've built a few working coils you will just get better and better at it, and the time will come down too. My only caution is to make sure that you have something that you can check ohm rating with - even a Vamo or similar will do (that's what I use). Knowing the ohmage of your coil is really important, especially if you are going to use it on a mechanical mod. Anything VV or VW will do to power it, but TBH a 22mm diameter mod like a Vamo or SVD will look better - a KFL does look a touch silly on a Spinner! You could pick up a cheap mod from China, and batteries from Torchy or Ecolux on eBay, and along with a charger, you're good to go, and those batteries will last for years. I have 2 green Panasonics which I use in mech mods which are at least 18 months old, and get almost daily use, and they are still going strong. Oh, and before all the expert users berate me about using unprotected batteries in a mech mod, my coils are all 1.2 ohms, so well within the safe range, and the batteries get changed after 4 hours or so, and are well above half charge when checked!

chykensa thanks for that info, I've got an MVP so maybe that would do? Ok, so I can build a coil and wick, but I'm still at a loss as how you actually use them? It looks like a tank? Do you fill them like a regular tank or is there a different method? I think I'd best google a YouTube vid or two before I drive peeps mad with daft questions. babs thank you for that link, looks very similar to the mini protank......but cheaper even than myepack!

MVP is fine for a kayfun sleedaleTo fill them there's a little screw you take out on the base, fill with a stringe or a thin tipped bottle and replace screw. I find this the easiest way but you can also fill by taking the top cap off but it's a little bit more of a faff.

sleedale it's very similar but 510 connection so really needs a beauty ring then looks really good on an MVP and so easy to recoil. With the added advantage of airflow control.
