Why thank you both for the warm welcome. Whooohooooo, my shiny new VTR has just arrived via DHL from China. Ordered last Monday, so pretty quick delivery, and cost £52.60. Not much or a saving from buying here, but a little. I was interested to see how my first purchase direct from China would work out. It is a genuine VTR, and not a clone jobbie. Now to unpack, and fire it up with the Nautilus, before I try out the iClear 30S after the juice has soaked in nicely.....happy days. Even better, it is the Mk. 2 version with the fixed wheel too....

.....With my first post. Right, my history and how I got the 'vaping' bug. It's all right, it won't take long......I think.
I am 68 years and been smoking my head off since about 1958, by first nicking my Mum's Kensitas and then joining the RAF at 15.5 years and buying my own. I quit smoking on December 23rd last year, not for health reasons since I am old and knackered anyway, but purely for financial reasons. By swapping cigarettes for electronic gear I gave myself a pay rise of about £50-60/week what with ciggies, tobacco, papers and lighters etc.
I was speaking to a friend who was happily puffing away on an e-cig and we got talking, and I was rather intrigued. I did not fancy the NHS way, as no doubt a Nurse or someone would want me to report my progress. I have a dislike of authority these days.
So the next day I nipped into my local Vape Shop and had a good and friendly discussion with the chap there, who walked me through how things worked, like vaping, how the coil and tank worked etc. So I bought a starter kit for £20 which comprise a 650mah battery, CE4/5 style plastic tank, USB charger and mains plug adapter plus a free bottle of 10ml juice of my choice. I bought another bottle (£3.50 ea. or 3 for £10), and with the tank filled I happily left the shop to go home.
I quit ciggies instantly which rather surprised, nay, amazed me, since I really liked smoking ciggies, and never thought I would be able to give it up. I had to rush back into Town the next day to buy a spare battery.... In January sometime, I really, really fancied a 'proper' cigarette and bought a packet (£5.99 wasted) and eagerly lit up, took 3 puffs and had to stub it out, since it tasted like licking an old ashtray. I was a little disappointed, as I was looking forward to a smoke. But, I was overwhelmingly happy that it seems I have really given up the cigarettes. The wife was happy because she got a free packet of ciggies. She has since taken up vaping too.
Then after watching gazillions of reviews on YT, I got the bug for something more powerful and shiny, so I bought the Innokin MVP v2 (from Myepack) with the iClear 30, and fell in love with both. Now I am expecting delivery of a shiny new Army Green VTR, hopefully this week. Can't wait for doing some weight lifting with that little devil, and trying it out.
I also have the Aspire Nautilus (well two now, as I bought another one, and a spare glass tank) and very much like that. It was a toss up between that or the Aerotank, but after watching YT reviews I decided against it due to the half hearted airflow design, and possible other problems.
IMO the Nautilus is far superior. It doesn't leak or gurgle, I can vape down to the fumes left in the tank without problems too, and I also like that the bottom pin connector is spring loaded. Although I can get a SS tank for it because the glass tank seems rather unprotected, but I am not too worried as I won't be using it as a hammer to hit nails and stuff with it.
I also bought the iClear X.1 which is nice, but still prefer the iClear 30 over it, but my Nautilus is my overall favourite at the moment. People have said that it looks silly on a VTR with the adapter, but to me it is no different than being mounted on my MVP.
So in the last month I have gone on a spending spree (or my no smoking money as I call it) and have a wish list of the Joyetech Evic or Supreme model, and either a Vamo 5 or Sigelei 20W.
I am not into posh models like Provari's, rebuilding my own coils, or the tanks that go with them. I am too lazy and would rather just chuck a duff coil in the bin and fit a new one.
Now I am into finding liquids that I like. I have tried a lot of fruit flavoured ones, but to me they are just so-so. I have discovered cheesecake, and strawberry cheesecake which I have taken a liking to, and can devour a Nautilus tank full over a day or two without a headache. It is smooth, slightly sweet, but suits me just fine. So buying different liquids is getting a bit pricey, but darn it, I am in a quest to find flavours that I like and will continue buying.
Told you this was going to be short.........but I lie. Sorry about that.
