I also have just bought the iStick 30W, and was going to buy from Myepack, but they were mostly out of stock, so bought from here: puremist.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=147So about £30 quid, free delivery and it turned up the next day. Nice bit of kit, which gives you plenty of power options to play with. I would also add that the Mini Nautilus is a brilliant little tank that with these new BVC coils (that also fit the big brother Nautilus - of which I have 2) it is a nigh on a perfect partner for the iStick 30W. Oh, and a warm welcome to this very good site....

I did reply just now, but it seems to have disappeared into cyber space.......but it could just be me cocking things up. Many thanks for the replies, tis much appreciated. igual...PM'd you. Oh, I have a set of those Torx heads in a screw driver kit, but they number from size 2 - 40. No. 2 being the smallest, which is just a bit too big, whereas the No. 6 is big. I thought they were in mm sizes, but the No. 40 is certainly not 40mm... I just don't understand all this modern techy stuff.....*sigh*...

Is anyone versed in the art of repairing the centre 510 pin on an MVP2 ? Due to abuse by me of (gently) pulling up the pin over time, it got to the point where all I got was a 'non' reading when screwing on any of my tanks. I tried to shove a small 'O' ring down the pin, but it didn't fix it, and now I can completely pull the pin right out, so I guess the wire has become detached inside. I have a set of Torx(?) heads, but not one small enough to undo the 4 screws. I did ask in my local Vape shop, but was met with sort of silence... Any tips/advice appreciated. P.S. I have seen a couple of videos of one being repaired, like replacing the 'O' ring, but that didn't work.

Many thanks for your welcomes back to this land of advice... Perpetua...thanks for the link, I have saved that site for further investigation, and on a brief check I see they have flavours that I like. So along with the Island based small Firm, it looks as though I will be having some very happy vaping. The suggestion of building my own coils etc. is something I should take up, since after the initial layout for a suitable 'tank' wire, organic cotton etc.....whatever is the best kit. it will be far cheaper than buying ready made coils. Glad to be back as posters have provide good tips and links which will make me busy and not thinking about nipping up the shop for a small packet of baccy/ciggies...

Just waiting on a pack of 10 Aspire Nautilus BDC coils from FT (£12.12), which are supposed to be shipped on 29th April. Ordered these before I knew about the new BVC coils, but never mind, a fresh coil is a fresh coil when I have just about run out of them.

baron you might like to up your nic level a bit in the beginning I used to run at 18mg, but now I take whatever is in stock from zero (rarely) to about 5/11/18mg, but am trying to keep the 'mg' down since I am now running at higher wattages than I used to, which was about 8W or so. Is this right, the higher the 'mg' and wattage, the higher the throat hit/nicotine intake ? Or am I just muddled in my thinking..?

Thanks for the replies...appreciated. Geez paulo, I didn't even know we had some locally produced juices, so thanks for that as I will definitely take a look at their flavours... Yep, I need to get interested in vaping full time again, and needed a new 'toy' to do that, and it appears to have worked, and the iStick (with the gel sleeve) is a nifty bit of kit. I also need to find more different flavours to keep the interest up too. I have tried plain fruit flavours and just really don't get on with them, and still have 10ml bottles of Orange, Watermellon and Pineapple that I had to resort to as (because of spending money on ciggies) my stock of favoured juices had nearly run out. I like sweet flavours, and just discovered Banoffee Pie for example, so that now is another favourite. So thanks again for the welcomes..........it is nice to be back..

A bit late, but hey ho.....I use the Nitecore two bay mains charger (from Myepack) and quite often leave a battery (or two) charging over night, the same as I might leave my Nexus 7 2014 charging. So far I have not been blown up, but it is mainly because I have bunged in a battery to charge up and forgotten about it until the next day. I do try to switch them off at night, and restart the next day, but then sometimes I don't but I don't lose any sleep about it........I like to live on the wild side of life in my remaining years....

Thank you tedster for taking the time to reply...
Atm, I am running a 1.7ohm on the iStick at 20W and the VTR 1.7ohm at 12W, both using the Nautilus.
The Atlantis is another tank I am interesting in, now that I have a 30W device.

My rather long but pathetic story......sit back and keep vaping... After giving up the weed for about 7 months (from Dec. 23rd 2014), No. 1 son came to stay with us for about 3 months last year (sorting out marital problems) and left his packet of baccy in the kitchen, and yes, I fell into temptation and rolled one up. Sad to say I started smoking again, not as much as before, but I was smoking roll-ups and ready mades again, but also using e-cigs with my MVP2 and VTRv2. Sadly my MVP2 has gone u/s as the 510 pin has come away from the wire inside the device (too much gently pulling up to make a connection over the year or so of use) and I am rather miffed about that. I may try to repair it at some stage since the battery is still full of life, but atm I just keep it in the car as a battery pack for my spare mobile phone, which I use to phone up the wife when at a Supermarket to ask her ''why am I here and what was I supposed to buy ?'' However, I kicked myself in the botty this year, and last Monday I decided I needed to get the interest back into vaping full time again. After some searching about, watching reviews etc. I bought the Black Eleaf iStick 30W dinky jobbie, unfortunately not from Myepack as they were mostly out of stock, but from Pure Mist (for £31.99 free delivery) both of which arrived the very next day. I did buy the gel sleeve for it from Myepack though. Most impressive delivery by both. This thing is a lot smaller that it appeared in the review videos... However, I rather lurve it, coupled with my Nautilus (with new BVC coil) and a tank full of Banoffee Pie @ 5mg nicotine, running (both) at about 12W- 20W....I like to 'play'. Plus another Nautilus tank full of Vanilla Toffee on the VTR v2. Smashing little device, so I have now regained the interest in vaping again, and blow me, it is a darned sight harder to give up smoking ciggies the second time around.....*sigh*, but I think I have done it. So I have given a fair bit of my State Pension money to some online Firms for more spare coils ,Aspire ET-S (BVC new coils), iClear 30S, Aspire Nautilus (new BVC coils) along with a pack of Ten BDC coils from FT (ordered before I knew about the BVC ones...duh) for the Nautilus, plus a selection of new juices to try out, one of which is the Banoffee Pie flavour. I now have my eye on the Innokin MVP3, iStick 50W, Mini Nautilus tank (and a couple of others), but I would rather lash out the money (in stages) than spend it on tobacco products. So I have now returned to this Forum (sorry about that) so that I can pick brains for advice and stuff... Ok, congrat's to those that managed to stay awake long enough to get to this bit, and I understand those that packed it in after 3 seconds to read another more interesting thread...

What rather amuses me about all this, is that many Doctors will say that 'vaping' is perhaps slightly better than smoking cigarettes, and are still not sure about the ingredients, not enough research, tests etc. They also harp on about nicotine, but seem to listen to someone who says that you can buy nicotine free liquids.
Yet, are quite happy to prescribe nicotine patches, gum, vapourisers etc. to get you to stop smoking, all with a huge list of ingredients.
These are also the same Doctors who will prescribe some medicine to try and cure whatever it is you have, but have you actually looked at the whole list of possible side affects, which may need more medication to combat those side affects ?
Seems rather weird to me..

I did kind of waver a little bit. No. 1 son is staying for a few days and he smokes rollies. So, during the day I was waiting for the kettle to boil and saw the packet of baccy and papers left on the work top. 'Hmmmmm....perhaps I could try just a bit of one ?' So I rolled one, went outside and lit up. It was a bit yukky, but I persisted, and the memories of smoking (or not smoking since December) came back, finished it, stubbed it out and chucked it in the bin.
My conclusion was that perhaps I need to either upgrade the nicotine level from my usual 0 - 6mg and go to a 12mg/18mg, and perhaps try a tobacco flavour, which I have not tried yet, mainly because I thought why switch from a tobacco product to a fake tobacco product.
My favourite flavours currently are, cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake, banana split, strawberry milk, sweet red apple and a couple of others that I won't bore you with.
So, although I sort of enjoyed it, it wasn't enough to make me nip up to the shops and buy a packet of ciggies.

I use the one on offer from the Vapeescape site, just a simple metal disc with male/female 510 threads which I use on the VTR or MVP to protect threads (more so on the MVP) and also as a juice collector should a tank leak. That way it doesn't go down the battery pin bay.
However, I would need to buy a 510/ego adapter (with or without the metal disc) if I wanted to use my Aspire ET-S tank on it. But, I can just remove it and replace with the MVP plinth thingy.

That could be the same as my first charger which came with my basic kit.
It would appear to show it charged after a short time, but the battery would go flat after a bit of use.
I took it back to my local shop who tested it with other batteries, declared it deceased, and gave me a new one, which has happily been charging batteries now for some weeks.
I mean, these charger cables must be knocked out in the millions, so I would have thought that there are bound to be a few duff ones in the process.

A quick hello from me, who is also a new member. Larger tank, as others have said, the Aspire Nautilus, no leaks, doesn't seem to eat coils, as like you, I can't be faffed to mess about building coils, and if one goes then I just say "Oh poo", chuck it in the bin and fit a new one. For a battery, there is the Spinner, Ego twist type of battery with adjustable voltages. However for me I think that buying the little kit of the Innokin VV-VW V3 battery plus USB cable charger can be had at Myepack for about the same price or maybe a couple of quid cheaper than those type of batteries. That way you can play with voltages and wattages with a little lcd screen, which is much more fun that just turning a little wheel on the bottom of the other batteries. I have tried a few small tanks, and the one I really like is another Aspire model (which looks exactly the same as the Kanger EVOD, but works better) called the ET-S BDC. It has a stiff draw on it, no worse than a ciggie, but I prefer that as I cannot do the 20 minute draw to produce vapour like reviewers do, so I can take a reasonable drag on it and still get loads of vapour and flavour. Ideal for popping on my bog standard Ego type battery, or MVP2. My quest now is to find juices that I like, which has also produced quite a few flavours that I am not keen on, so although I seem to have loads of juices, not all of them appeal to me. So I am still in the trial and error stage, and have only been vaping for 5 months, and rather like you, I quit smoking the moment I walked out of my local shop with my basic kit. Keep up the good work.....
