Thanks folks, having been so pleased with myself, I find I'm really struggling. Coils made and fitted, ohms leaping around once in use Have just ordered the twisted wire thatguy suggested so hopefully that will sort it. I only have thinner wire so can't seem to get low ohms which these tanks are brilliant at. Once I've sorted it, then another tank will be on its way along with a few spare decks (maybe) or a shed load of occ coils

Perfect, thanks flavourtank, got all excited cos they list the v2 deck, but it's out of stock I've got both versions, seem to be able to sort the v1 but am faffing about with both tbh, need to get some .4mm Kanthal and stop messing with thinner stuff, etc etc and just practice. But think I'll get some premade coils to go on with.

Thanks flavourtank, FT have sold out myepack have the v1 I think, gear best don't list them I want to get another tank but I'd like a couple of extra rba decks (cos I can't get the blinking things coiled properly and need practice, so if I have more than a couple, I can keep trying and swapping them) Oh well, all good things come to he who waits, or some such nonsense

Hi isabel22 I've been looking on your site and would like to order some things, but I'm looking for the rba base for the Kanger subox mini and can't find any listed? Are there any plans to stock this in the near future, the v2 if possible? Many thanks

sleedale try the pancake wicking method or otherwise known an duck's butt wicking. Every time I get someone in the shop with a leaky RBA base, I rewick for them this way and so far all have been happy campers (see what I did there ) Have a great break xxx Thank you Lairey hope you are recovered? And feeling better. Having a nice time will look up that wick when home with wifi ????

Thanks again peeps. I will get round to trying all the suggestions to stop the leaking, and even might try thatguy wire/ribbon coiling, but that's for another week. Off camping for a few days later today, seems we might finally get some sunshine out there. I'm taking some bits of coiling gear and wick so I might just have a play in the sunshine! I'm even taking my spare twisted wires with me.....

Challenge accepted! Must try this soon...... Well done sleedale. It's testimonies like yours that got me into mixing and rebuildables. Oh heck.....I only tried it cos I couldn't get a sub ohm coil from the wire I have. You tube is your friend, but it's not difficult and probably a lot of trial and error. subtank still leaks like a sieve off vertical though :'(it seems like once the wick is totally soaked it maybe doesn't stop the leaks? Have to try messing with it unless anyone has any tried and tested fixes?

larokka I am no expert but when I first made custardy love child for the first time I followed the recipe exactly, managed to leave it to steep for over a month (not really long enough) but it was just delicious. So now I just follow the recipe each time I make it. 25% VC isn't too much, but I suppose you could make three little bottles of perhaps 25/20/15% VC. Hope you find out the problems and make lovely custard.

Excellent - well done What are the specs of the coils you made from twisted? I've got loads of .15 & .20 from ego days, would be good to find a use for it. And excuse my ignorance, but what is CLC? I used .28 Kanthal A1 (I think the A1 bit is right but it's defo .28, cut off about 2 feet, folded in half, stuck the folded end in the drill, held the two other ends in the pliers and set the drill off, keeping tension on the wire (gentle tension) then used some of the wire to make a coil on a 2mm coil master stick thing, five wraps came out around .8 or 6 wraps around .9-1.0 ohm. Have twisted up three more lengths and they are all slightly different twists so probably will make slightly different ohm coils I suppose. and yes, CLC is the AAEC famous custard, the nearest I have found ready made is chefs vapour Welsh custard, silver blend. I think it comes pre steeped which is a massive help to me cos I really can't be organised enough to make enough to have a rolling stock!!! anyhoooo, the coils are holding up, although one is giving a few dry hits May have to rewick it very soon thanks for all the kind words peeps, I know most of your are way past this, but it's a biiiiig step for me.

Well...I bought the subox mini kit and love it. Love the fact that a battery lasts me a day, I can just swap batteries and that the tanks are gi-huge, never had so much juice in one tank! Now, I tried the OCC coils, bought a couple extra too, and they work fine, I've even managed to recoil one icon_faintbut I do prefer the rba deck, seems simpler to maintain somehow. so...subtank mini leaks, probably down to the wicking and the fact it doesn't like lying down, both tanks had this problem...and I only have .28, .25, .3 wire and couldn't make a decent sub ohm coil. off to you tube....twisted wire coils? mmmmm we have a drill, pliers and I have wire.... all tanks, 6 of them cleaned ready to recoil and wick and refill (tank maintenance day) Wire cut and spun in drill and oh my word, it worked. Made 4 lengths, thought I'd get ahead just in case it makes a coil. Sat down with coffee, spare tank and istick and made coils. Made one twisted wire for each rba, came out at .6 and .8 so I am very, very pleased with my little self. Made coils for the other protanks, and emow mega tanks. Two tanks put away clean and ready to go, others filled ready to vape, and sub tanks so far not spilling juice. i am one very happy vaper today, but I must, must, must make some more CLC cos I ain't got any, not even a drop. (Have ordered some Welsh custard from those chef wizards though) so folks, if you thinks you can't, well, you can cos if I can, anyone can. only bought into these bits of kit cos of the great peeps on here with honest reviews, hints tips and troubleshooting. You guys have kept me off stickies for more than a year, well over a year, which I never thought could happen.

Crime Brûlée it is.... let us know what you make of them all hopefully creme brulee and not crime brulee Oooops missed that one..... Will report back on all of them after a couple of weeks or so. So far creme brûlée is nice, but need more than a few vapes....and must remember that it's twice my normal nic and I've dumped it in the subtank at 0.5ohm
