vaping is boiling. I'd bet superheating minute amounts of it on a white hot coil will probably kill more bacteria than letting a litre at a time barely reach boiling point in a kettle.
but anyway, a quick google search confirms that loads of people use it all the time to make e juice.

nah, just different processes for purifying the water. i've worked with it before in a previous job, we used to use it in the kettle for the brews as the only other option available to us, bottled mineral water, used to gunk it up with limescale so badly we were replacing them every fortnight.
the third arm is purely co-incidental.

Vampire vapes are giving away a free bottle of one of their new flavours with every order placed this week before Friday, 3pm. Use the code 'Free Tuesday' in the notes section and include which flavour and strength you want - Bat Juice, or Weston Smooth.
They're also doing 4 10ml bottles for 12.99 (I think) including delivery.

Red Astaire
Mixed this at 25% in 35/65 pg/vg. Seen lots of people compare this flavour to tunes cough sweets, to me it's red winegums all the way with a nice fresh menthol, and a slight background hint of aniseed. Tastes great, not at all sickly sweet, and the menthol is just right for me. Will be interesting to see how the flavour develops over time, I've only tried freshly mixed so far. 9/10

it's the t-juice I'm mixing at 25% (all came today, all mixed, small tank of RA already converted into atmosphere ) 25% seems fine to me, it's a VG heavy mix anyway, about 35/65, and I'm happy with the flavour. I've no idea what strength I'm mixing the f'art stuff at yet, those figures (20%) were just for the first try. will probably do about 5ml of both first, let them steep for a week or so, then see where I am after that / adjust the ratios, volumes etc.

johny5times - try the recipes without sweetener first; you can always add it later, but can't take it out once it's in the mix. 25% flavour might be a bit excessive, same principle as above, start on the low side, and add more if you need to. I mix T-Juice concentrates at 18-20% and they are full-bodied and lush enough for me! I'm a fiend for strong flavours. I'm more worried that 25% will be too weak, rather than too strong.

About to begin the tentative journey myself into the mad world of mixing. coming tomorrow (hopefully) or wednesday (boooo) are 40ml of various T-Juice concentrates, some 50/50 nic base, syringes, and dropper bottles to go with my already purchased VG from boots and de-ionised water to thin it. planning to make it up in 40ml batches (25% flavour - one bottle of conc per mix @ approx 35/65 PG/VG) using 50ml vodka and whisky miniature bottles as my mixing vessels. excited. also been looking at the flavour art website and might have a dabble at one of their 5 flavour sampler offers to make up a couple of other recipes I have had in my head for a while (creamy passion - 8% passion fruit, 8% peach, 4% vanilla custard and Nutella - 8% chocco melt, 8% Hazelnut, 4% Vanilla Custard). Both will be around 60 - 65% VG, so would I need to get some sweetener for either of these recipes?

Been shopping today and picked up some VG from Boots and De-Ionised water from Halfords to thin it, so I've just put my order in for the T Juice concentrates. 20ml Red Astaire, 10ml Forrest Affair, and 10ml Melipona, as well as the nic base and various sundries from vape escape. Excited to try them all, especially the RA.

Some reviews for some of the juices I've tried so far...
iBaccy Strawberry
This was the very first juice I tried, my friend got it from his local corner shop at £2 for 10ml. My first impression was good, compared to ciggies this was a breath of fresh air. After an hour or so though it dawned on me that I couldn't really taste any actual strawberry - just a vague, weak, fruity flavour that irritated my throat. Even after upgrading to a Protank mini 3, I found the flavour pretty poor, and the vapour almost non-existant, although it was a lot smoother. 2/10
iBaccy L&B
Bought at the same time as the strawberry as I was new to vaping and thought a tobacco flavour would be a good idea. I was wrong. Tastes like old ashtrays. 0/10
Supa E-Cigs Watermellon
I was a bit hesitant at trying watermellon at first - I think it goes back to a bad experience with a pack of jolly ranchers when I was a kid Found myself surprisingly satisfied, however. The flavour is very reminiscent of the real thing, although not particularly strong, and it produces a nice amount of vapour. 6/10
Supa E-Cigs Cherry Menthol
I was never a fan of menthol ciggies, so again was a bit hesitant about trying something like this but decided to give it a crack. I'm glad I did as, although this particular juice isn't really for me - the cherry flavour is too artificial - I learned enough to tell me vaping menthol is a world away from smoking it. 5/10
Pure Vape Cherrry Bakewell
My friend convinced me to try this as they are advertised as being 95-100% VG, and i was curious to see the difference. This was, hands down, the worst tasting juice i have come across. Absolutely no cherry flavour at all, never mind almond. All you get is a nasty burned digestive biscuit flavour, and the juice itself absolutely STINKS the gaff out. The smell got on to everything in my little case, even though the bottle wasn't leaking, meaning I got a nasty reminder of this juice for days afterwards. Burn it, put it in a hole, and salt the earth. Nothing good can come of this juice. Nice super squeezy bottle though. 0/10
Grizwald's Black Cat
Now we're talking. Super creamy liquorice, sweet but not overpoweringly so. Almost puts you in mind of those delicious bonfire night treacle toffees. The best juice I have tasted so far, and one I plan to stock up on come payday. Nice full flavour, nice vapour. Just plain nice. 9/10
Grizwald's Caramel Cappuchino
Alnmost in the same league as the Black Cat. Almost. Described it to a friend as a nice sweet, milky coffee, with a worthers original melted in it. The only downside, for me, was the sweetness. After a day or so I was craving something different to freshen up the palate. Not an all day vape but as a treat every now and then this would be perfect. 8/10
T-Juice Colonel Custard
I ordered 10ml of this to try as I'm planning on mixing some of my own using some t-juice concentrates and I wasn't sure whether custard was my thing. I read a few reviews that seemed to suggest t-juice is ready to go when it hits the doormat, but for me it was pretty weak. I've only vaped a small tankfull so far and have left the rest to steep for a couple of weeks. The flavour, although weak as I said, is pretty nice. reminds me of a proper rich homemade custard. I won't be ordering the concentrate of this first time around but will have to see how it turns out after a few more weeks in the sock drawer. 7/10
Dekang Cheesecake
How surprised was I when I tried this juice! Heard Dekang was the ford escort of the juice world - does a job but nothing special... but it was cheap and I decided to give it a whirl - so glad I did. Lovely rich, sweet biscuit flavour with a nice hint of vanilla and cream. Very reminicsent of a baked new york cheesecake. Good strong flavour as well, I guess ford knock out a decent car every now and then. Ordered more. 8/10

thanks for the messages actually finding it very, very easy to stay away from the cigs. not remotely tempted now, even when offered. I've seen a few mentions on here of people buying their VG from Boots, is this the right stuff? www.boots.com/en/Value-Health-Glycerin-B-P-200ml_852418/also, would it need cutting with water to thin it out a bit, and if so, how much approx?

So, I guess like most people who start vaping my first experience was a mixed one. I didn't really know anything about it so opted for a cheap ce4 ecig from amazon, and some £2 a bottle strawberry juice from my friend's local newsagent. Immediately 10x better than smoking cigarettes, but I just figured the slight irritation I was feeling in my throat, and weak flavour, was par for the course. Three weeks on and I'm sitting at home vaping a lovely smooth cheesecake at 4.6v on my brand spanking new EVOD VV battery out of my sexy little protank mini 3 with my new variable airflow controller, wondering what flavours I could mix myself once I buy all the supplies on payday. I'm completely sold - the god damn things are more addictive than ciggies So, where next? Mods, rebuildables? I've seen more youtube vids on vaping kit these last few weeks than I have the world cup. All I know is getting something new and shiny off the postman beats nipping out in the rain for 20 stinking L&B any day of the week.

Evod glass and mini airflow leak and gurgle constantly... Be warned. I bought one to go with my glass and the silicone seal in the head doesn't reach the chimney pipe when mini airflow is on it. The mini airflow does work on my mini pro tank 2 and 3... that's alright, I mainly got it for my mini protank 3 anyway.
