Hopefully it'll plug into Kings newly fixed plug socket. It won't place any extra burden on the electricity supply. It just acts as secondary insulation for and from the ring main. ie If one of Kings chargers malfunctions it'll trip this and not all of Kings neighbours sockets. If there's a surge it'll protect all of Kings electrical belongings.
Edit: Doesn't think Scylla was trying to be a wise guy anymore.

Unless you have an extremely old wiring system were your sockets are on the same ring main as your lights etc. this sounds symptomatic of a loose connection to the rear of your wall socket. This is quite common as sockets receive a fair bit of abuse and wiring can work it's way loose. When electricity 'jumps' a loose connection it gets very hot and won't necessarily blow a fuse or trigger the trip. Although you should ask your sparkie for his diagnosis.. even if only to put your mind to rest about dodgy electrical goods.

Your trip switch should've kicked in long before your socket blew. Was there a brown mark on the bottom right plug hole?

Glad everyone liked the idea! 'Twas just a little freebie.. Red Business Consultancy© normally charges £200ph plus commission. Atmospheric props and gimmicks can help the overall 'customer experience' but it's the service I receive that leaves the real lasting impression. I'm sure you'll do just fine Jason.

For me, the opportunity to sample juices would be a massive draw. The 'add to basket' button can often be like pulling on a one armed bandits lever. Why not even stick a bar n' some stools in the window, perhaps even flog a few coffees (red tape permitting) and let your customers do the window advertising for you. The sight of people sitting inside drinking coffee and blowing smoke around is gonna get the attention of every curious passer by, smoker or not. Actually.. Sod the stools! I want a big comfy sofa, some decent mood lighting and music too. I'd be back at every opportunity!

Just wandering if it'd be possible to direct drip into an old carto (filler & wick removed). I've never tried it and I'm not offering it up as a suggestion. Just curious.

Cuban Supreme is one I overlooked. So on the strength of the above 2 recommendations, I've ordered some to take back to Redlabs© mixing desk to see if it adds a 'little something'. However what I think is really lacking is a Cedar or fresh sawdust kinda aroma. Any ideas?

This has been my quest also. I've not been at this for long but have many, many bottles of tobacco flavours. None of them are spot on but so far (to my taste) the closest is a 70% / 30% mix of Perique Black / Golden Virginia. Not brilliant but adequate.

I ordered the HS Delight with my first e-cig. Immediately prior to that I was a Golden Virginia smoker. I found the flavour more akin to factory made cigarettes & in particular L&B.. It shares the same sort of chlorine high notes. Which is great if that's what you're used to as a recent e-cig convert. I wouldn't recommend it to roll-up smokers but in general it has a decent rounded flavour that'll suit many palettes.
I've been mixing mine with blackcurrant or manderin and It works very well.

And another thing.. I've read that it's legal to vape pretty much anywhere but how does this work in reality? Has anyone done it on public transport or an airplane or airport? Any reprimands by jobsworths? I'd love to join the vaping 'mile high club'!

Don't worry Perpy.. I'll not stop nattering about vaping, afterall I've not touched a cigarette since my eGo was delivered!
Actually, I was wondering if there are any decent/proper natural fruit flavoured e-liquids out there. It seems like all the ones I've tried taste like cheap boiled sweets and I'm really missing the full fruitiness of my Sheesha/Hookah pipe.

Thanks guys. It's obvious that I've been thinking far too long about telling people about this. It's become a bigger deal than it really should be. My fun experiment has been working so well up 'til now. It'd be a shame to ruin it by adding pressure by labeling myself an ex-smoker. I shall continue my field experiments and will in due course allow my friends and family to become impartial (safety goggled) observers.

Well, our plucky little lab rat certainly gave it a go..
Friday night was a bit of a blur. Same venues, same people but somehow very alien and awkward.. Like getting into the car and realising you've completely forgotten how to drive. I didn't understand just how integral smoking was to a weekend drinking session so it felt like I'd spent my entire time trying to re-learn what to do. My mind was often 'elsewhere' and one or two people commented about how I wasn't listening and seemed to stare straight through them.
In the interest of the experiment I chose to continue stealth vaping. I felt that introducing unknown variables at this late stage might have a negative influence on the results. I pre-filled my cartos with my strongest tobacco flavours and vaped like crazy with my back to the pub window and my friends didn't suspect a thing. The whole night was hard work but I know that the alcohol test will become easier next time.
That's right folks.. Crucial test stage 4 - Passed.
The fun part of this experiment is now reaching it's closing stages. This is the bit where I come out of the closet as an ex-smoker. It's the part where this bit of fun becomes cold, hard reality. This experiment will become a serious one. I will no longer be allowed to have a cigarette any time I like (as set out in my original 'fun' experiment design). My friends and family will all be so proud of me.. I will fear letting them down in the future. This will be, by far, the longest and most critical test stage yet.
How do you folks do it? ???

Just a quick update.
Firstly.. Thanks to all (again) and to Jason whom has patiently and graciously answered all my noodle brained questions and ably advised on the design of a suitable eGo kit...
Got all my vaping gear on Monday. Went for a LR set up with Kanger cartos as primary option. Got both 1000mAh & 750mAh batteries. The 750mAh for 'public displays of Vaping' (PDV's) as the total length of the e-cig is an inconspicuous 12cm (the 1000mAh being around 15cm). Very pleased with the overall performance of The eGo LR kit... Vapes like a trooper!
So.. I've embarked on all this mallarchy without much expectation but with an open mind. Like others here, I'd tried other NRT paraphernalia without success but thought that e-cigs might help me cut down my smoking, which would be an excellent result.
For me, smoking is mainly about routine and rituals, aged 31 and having been a smoker for 17 years I've developed many of them. Some to reward myself or to relax and some just to ease the passing of time. In addition to these, there are the obvious moments that every smoker and ex smoker will know all too well. It is during these moments that most most 'quitters' would relapse.
I've tried quitting twice and never made it until the end of the day. Quitting is bloody hard so I have placed absolutely no pressure upon myself to do so, allowing myself a cigarette any time I like. I have told nobody that I have bought an e-cig (except you lot) and as I mentioned, my only goal is to cut down a bit and see how it goes. I'm treating it like a fun experiment to see if anything more substantial might come of it... Myself being both test programmer and subject A.
Guten Tag! Zo, ere isht ze tesht reshults for subject A, ranging from ze Montag to ze Fritag.
Montag: Ze subject az assemble iz e-cig defice. E displays amazing mental dexterity, hant to ze eye co-ordination unt is alzo uber attractif in odd way.
(for the benefit of the reader I will stop the Einstein talk.. Beakers more my style anyway).
The shortened version is: by the time I'd tested out all atties, cartos and many flavours my throat was parched and lined with nicotine... I simply didn't feel like having a cigarette before bedtime.
Tuesday: First crucial test - the morning cuppa. Passed with ease. Urge satisfied by vape. Didn't feel like having a cigarette. Second crucial test - Post meal; again, passed with ease.
Mid test conclusions: 1 whole day without a cigarette. Subjects expectations far exceeded. He feels compelled to see just how long this can last.
Wednesday: Third crucial test - Major stress strop (finance related). Passed with ease. Urge satisfied by vape.
Mid test conclusions: Subject A feels elated and empowered whilst aided by the e-cig device.
This run outstanding experimental results has continued until this moment in time. However Subject A now faces the sternest test tonight when he joins his friends to consume alcoholic beverages.
Test results will be posted in due course.
