My siam punch came yesterday and it's lovely!!! Even came with a lanyard..would recommend Jane Completely agree Jane, It's beautiful in a simple & functional sort of way. It'll likely last a lifetime.. If anyone plans on vaping for that long . In the unlikely event that the butterfly screw were to blunt, another could be bought easily at yer local D.I.Y store. Have you managed to attach the lanyard? The keyring supplied mine is way too large to fit through the hole... Doh!

It seems the 'toob' has had more than just a paint job.. Someone's also been tinkering under the bonnet. I didn't notice but it does deliver slightly more voltage according to tests. I did however notice another revision when popping on my tank. The 510 connector is set deeper into the body so the tank can now be screwed flush with the tube. The connector is also thicker and more robust looking. The fire button is still black & it still has the poorly designed & manufactured end caps. Their little defects from casting seem more obvious in this colour. Somebody is going to make a fortune if they can produce quality end caps for these devices!

Thanks guys! Order made & code worked a treat! I think I made the most of the $15 flat int shipping rate. Shame though.. I always try to support the U.K suppliers but I'm just tired of seeing 'out of stock' with no info or updates about future availability.

The high was, without a doubt, stumbling across this forum. I was in two minds whether or not to post. I seem to have an ism about asking for help.. But I'm so glad I did. I was, and still am amazed at how generous you lot are with your time and general support. You even put up with my teen angsty style drivel back in those first difficult days of converting and it really did make a big difference. I owe you guys a big debt of gratitude.
Low was trying unsuccessfully to convince an Indian restaurant owner that using my e cigarette was not illegal.

Is there any news on the delay to the Pink Spot delivery. I've been keeping an eye on both ecigwizard & Liberty Flights since around the time this thread was posted and Pink Spot has remained 'out of stock'.
Are there any other Vendors in the U.K that stock the Pinkies?
Should one just bite the bullet and order from the U.S?
Thankyou kindly.

Perpys advice seems completely sound & logical to me Raggy. There's no reason why you'd share my previous issues with your prescription and flattish lenses. Perhaps your glasses are so big that your'e experiencing a wing mirror effect And if you don't already use it. I'd highly recommend some anti-static spray.

Hi Raggy, Not sure if this will help but.. I had a similar problem with reflections I also experienced some blurring at the edge of my periphery. My lenses were quite curved in design and they were also made thinner at my request. This combination worked fine with my old prescription. However with the new, more powerful prescription the thinned lens material struggled to cope and refracted some of the light. The problem was resolved by reverting to the standard thickness lens.
Hope it's solved quickly, I know what a pain it can be.

I used to think the vaping community had a large proportion of crackpot conspiracy theorists. I viewed those placing blame on the tobacco lobbyists and governments with a lot of suspicion. But the more I read (from both sides) leads me to think otherwise.

Spot on Gordy, ignorance is the biggest obstacle between the present and the successful future of Vaping. Banned in several countries such as Thailand because nicotine could increase a risk of having Ischemic heart disease. Have these people even heard of tobacco! Just take a squiz at the highly illogical stance most airlines are taking. www.e-cig.org/2008/12/17/using-your-electronic-cigarette-on-an-airplane/www.electroniccigarettereview.com/smoking-on-planes/A quote from American Airlines regarding onboard Technology: 'Devices that are not allowed to be activated at any time are those, including e-cigarettes, that could cause damage to equipment or diminish the design, function, or capability of the aircraft.' The list goes on and on.. One things for sure.. It's gunna get worse before it gets any better.

Cheers Gordy! Great thread. Edit: Just ordered the Clockwoks RTA Gordy. 6 week waiting list no less.. Boy they MUST be good. Edit: Good Lordy Gordy!.. Again, for the benefit of other members, I tried ordering an Arry Carto Tank V3 earlier today. Didn't have much luck at Mojurepublic. I ended up asking the man himself. Arry replied: Soz sold out. Only stormys vapor celler in USA may have some.. Boy they must be EXTRA good!

Got me a Lavatub yester morn.. Yey!.. Looking for a tank for a Kanger carto.. They're my fave by far. Will Kangers fit in an Arry V3? They spec a Boge on mojorepublic and they're about 2-3mm longer.
Edit: Just noticed Perpys post.. I guess size doesn't matter afterall.
Also on the lookout for a good clearo tank. I really get on with the CE3's and fruit eliq.
Oh.. And want to add an RTA to the list. I'd like to try the fabled taste sensation that is mesh wicking. There seem to be loads about but which are best????
Yoikes.. Brain meltdown!

I have found whilst using the Tapered Tip method that the battery end does not get wet and the air tubes remain clear. Due to the high pressures involved, the e-liquid enters the Smokeymizer chamber in the form of a fine mist. The mist is sprayed in a wide arc and hits the side wall of the Smokeymizer.
In step 6, I have specified to seal the battery end whilst replacing the plug. I have found this an unnecessary step. Instead the Smokeymizer can be placed directly onto the battery before replacing the plug and inserting the end cap or drip tip.
There isn't a single drop of mess.. Not even around the filling hole.

I've edited to include some general advice. Smokymizers can sometimes be a bit problematic. I've collated a few tips to help new users minimise any leaking or gurgling issues.. Because when a CE3 works, it works really well! An important thing to be aware of is the fact that a CE3 utilises vacuum principles to regulate its wicking process. Firstly, imagine a drinking straw.. You can suspend liquid in it by placing a finger over the top of it. If you remove your finger, the contents will leak out the bottom. The bung at the top of the CE3 has the same function as a finger over that straw.. The CE3 has an area of low air pressure (vacuum) between the bung and the surface of the e liquid, this prevents e liquid from consistently dribbling down the wick or out through the vent hole. The second half of the regulated wicking process shares the same principle as momentarily removing your finger from the top of the straw.. It's provided by a small vent hole in the bottom of the CE3. Air enters the CE3's fluid chamber via this hole. It then bubbles to the surface of the e liquid to momentarily equalise the air pressure, allowing the e liquid level to drop & re-wick. So to maintain the vacuum and to prevent leakages.. -Try to keep your CE3 upright. -Try not to leave your CE3 with a very low e liquid level. -Ensure that the bung is dry, undamaged & firmly pressed in so it forms a good and lasting seal. A cocktail stick can be used as a good replacement. Gurgling is usually caused by a build up of condensation within the air pipe and /or bung chamber. However, sometimes e liquid can be drawn into the air pipe by sucking too hard or by a leak (see above). You can minimise/prevent gurgling.. -Blow through air pipe immediately after filling or whenever necessary. -Regularly dry out bung chamber with kitchen towel, ear buds or place a small amount of carto wadding inside the chamber (do not restrict air flow). -Use a freshly charged battery. Gurgling and leaking problems can occur as a result of bleeding whilst filling. Filling a CE3 can be a messy process due to the vacuum not being present (no bung). A condom thingy can be placed over the battery end to prevent a lot of leakage (see Blakeys post below) but the threaded compartment may still contain some e liquid. My solution to navigate around these issues was to bottom fill using a tapered syringe tip. it also has the benefits of being a lot quicker. Since then the spiky thing has entered the market and may do the same job in theory (untested). Tapered syringe tips are cheap & widely available if you want to give it a try. 1. Fill tapered syringe or spiky thing. 2. Wedge tapered syringe tip or spiky thing into filling hole (must be a good fit to create seal). 3. Hold CE3 vertically with battery end at top. 4. Fill from beneath (the displaced air shoots out of the battery end. Battery end remains dry). 5. Quickly replace (dried) bung with a good pair of tweezers to restore vacuum and hey presto not a drop of leakage.
