As long as the cotton isn't blocking the juice channel then there's bugga all wrong with that set up The popping is just the juice spitting from the coil, nothing to be concerned with. That bit confuses me blakey ....I left the juice channel holes clear (so i could see them when i looked inside) on the first build that flooded, when I covered them over with cotton on the next one it didnt flood

I asked them why the price had increased
Thank you for your email.
I believe there was some initial confusion about the pricing so we have changed this to reflect that.
Kind Regards Karl

I Did think of that one as its mega cheap for the D4, but its the older one That has me confuddled now. The D4 was only released in 2014 and afaik there's only ever been the one version. I got mine on it's UK release day. My bad.....its me getting confuddled between the D4 & the i4.....sorry

decoy I just tried wicking mine like that video & it flooded worse than somerset in January!....dunno what i did wrong ....perhaps it was watching the video, it seriously affected my CDO disorder... because i noticed it had been flipped (writing on the board was back to front & when he unscrewed the kayfun it unscrewed in the opposite direction....unless he's got a special one with a left handed thread!...lol) So I done it like this: Made the all important cuppa first....then I got some 30awg & twisted it up on the drill Wound up me coil with 8 (coulda been 9 i cant remember now) pulsed it to tighten the coil up & and that came back at 1.6ohms Threaded me cotton through (used some of that funny japanese stuff but I think normal would have been better as it fluffs up better) Put me chimney on & trimmed it off at the top then poked the cotton down each side, soaked the coil & put the kayfun back together & filled it up, It works now without the flooding.....but I get the odd popping noise every now and then ....so no idea where ive gone wrong now There's a fine art to these kayfuns....havent quite nailed it yet

Thanks for the replies/advice so far peeps...... Karma & Ripshod.....I did look at that site earlier when I saw the closing down sale post I Did think of that one as its mega cheap for the D4, but its the older one & apart from having a preference of the newer 2014 (sexy looking) digital display Ive read posts about the older one having a few issues with the battery sliders ??? Edit....Sorry I meant the i4 !

Was really happy this morning when postie knocked the door & handed me my parcel from china, had great fun opening it up to find the Hana clone, Russian 91 & Kayfun lite plus I'd order from FT had finally turned up. Then when Im taking them apart I notice that the russian has an O ring on the chimney....but the Kayfun doesnt...am I right in thinking there should be one there? The kayfun has 2 chimneys (long & short) & both of them dont have O rings on them :-(....Or am I wrong & it doesnt need them ? If im right in thinking theyre supposed to be there can anyone tell me where I can get some ?....Im thinking its pointless to whinge to FT about piddly O rings & even if i did I doubt theyd send any & again if they did it would be quicker & easier for me to source some here in the UK. Its the 1700500 this one

Just recieved a new kayfun & russian clone from FT & I was wondering what others use for the best results on cleaning any machine oil residue left on them ? They dont feel or smell like they have any on them but Im going to give them a clean anyway, I was going to do my usual thing of a hot soapy bath followed by a soak in vodka ? (then obviously rinse with clean water).....but after reading a few posts on here about cleaning Ive noticed that people use quite a wide range of things....vodka, vinegar, bicarb etc...Ive even heard of someone using coke ???
