While Doomsday still threatens I have decided not to get to rely on anything I cannot mend myself. Actually very happy with my little stock of mechs anyway; 2 Katos; a LUXE and a Pisces telescopic; they should last longer than me with a little TLC.
(I do also have a rather ancient Provari which also feels as though it will last for ever).

I think it's a good idea Jessica but the 11th is a sunday and the bma will be closed and Tavistock square is pretty quite on a sunday ......I was at the bbc last year and we wasn't clouding it up but we were there vaping and some people were intrigued as what was going on.........if it still goes a head count me in We could have it outside the BBC again this time, if that would make more sense. My OAP pass goes anywhere in London so fine by me.

Actually double checked and I am mostly using 2mm eckowool but that certainly goes through 3mm coil doubled over it takes a little twisting

Richard46 sorry I wasn't dissing you but I think if you are putting a 3mm wick into a 3mm bore doubled over its 6mm I mostly use 3mm coils with 2.5 silica and 2.5. doubled over can be pulled through. The stuff is not very compact.

RonGood idea, have you got any for threading the wick through pre-wound coils? I presume we are talking about silica/eckowool etc here rather than cotton wool. Push a loop of thin wire through the coil. Pass the wick through the loop and use the wire to pull the wick through the coil. Trim as required.

Thanks people. I had intended to get myself something shiny to celebrate but have missed that. Will make do with the 4 x 18650s that should arrive from Torchy this afternoon.
