Trouble is these things panic me into planning a pre-TPD spending/stockpile spree rather than doing anything more constructive. Which I guess is rather missing the point. When I say planning I mean carrying on adding to my existing kit mountain.

That is just the form of mod I like. My Kato mods with side by side atty/battery and used with long smok stems produce the same shape/ hold.

, ,,,,When I started it was cigalikes or trogs Screwdriver at £120 which seemed a bit excesive in those days, although thinking back it was good value when you were paying £25 for a pack of cigalike bats and more money for a personal charger because lifespan was about 30 mins of vaping and whole life of bat was a month if lucky, and only choice of forum was ECF, how things have moved on in 6 years, all for the better. MP I still have a Screwdriver; Had a lug on it only last week funnily enough. Must date from about 2009.

+1 for using BiteXtra from FlavourArt. I use 50/50 VG PG. Get enough of a hit and no ill effects. We all have different reactions to these things of course.

That is the stuff. Some Boots do seem to be short of the stuff; all us vapers to blame no doubt.
I scored a couple of bottles in Saffron Walden Boots on Wednesday.

Reasonably well informed and balanced article actually. Comments from Lisa (of Cloud9vaping) particularly interesting.

they will prob tax on nic content more nic more tax That is what would make sense (if it made any sense at all anyway) but I believe the draft legislation in Portugal just had the same level of taxation per bottle of " liquid containing nicotine". So same for a bottle of 72 mg/ml* base as for a bottle of 5mg/ml RY4.
*The TPD if implemented next year will of course outlaw anything (unmedicated?) over 20 mg/ml in any event. So selling Nic base as we know it will cease to be legal. www.clivebates.com/?p=1747

Any ideas about the usable storage life of this nic base?Assuming it is bought in your dark glass storage option.

Just noticed today is my 300 days without a cigarette after 40 years chain smoking. I used to struggle to go without for 30 minutes. Breathing better; sleeping better; cycling faster maybe I even smell better.
Congratulations to everyone on here for reaching a milestone.
Mind with decent vaping kit it really was not difficult.

Always thought the 18500 had a design flaw, surely it would have been better to reduce that 40mm dimension so the atty was a little more flush to the top ! Not on the original 18500. The 510 is about 420mm below the top of the mod same as on the 18650 version. I have a clone 18650 but a genuine 18500. Edit Love them both.

I stand corrected but again, where, when, who's flavouring?. There are loads of butterscotches, both juices and concentrates out there still on sale. Anybody enlighten me? From memory it was the VIP one that was withdrawn.

It should be noted that those 3 instances are world wide, and even then opinions are divided on causation. Lipoid Pneumonia is caused by inhalation of oils - and e-juice contains no oils, which vaporise at much higher temperatures than PG/VG. This was an ANTZ argument from the early days - even they have dropped it now. To be fair to Sally - she didn't actually claim any deaths, just implied them. She did however state serious illness was suffered, which is a bare faced falsehood.
She also stated that butterscotch flavour had to be banned but where, when, who's flavouring? The way she said it sounded as though this had already happened. Actually she said 'withdrawn' not banned.

Thanks Mark; interesting; not seen that before. As you say doubt this would have happened without Louise Ross.

Actually on reflection I am feeling less happy about the BBC after reading their reply than before it.
Previously I was just concerned that they had let a false (or at best a completely misleading) statement be made unchallenged. I am now angry that they are actively supporting that statement. I really don't think it is their job as a news service to speculate on what interviewees mean. It is their job to get clarification.
I must admit I particularly admired the cheek of this bit;
'So Dame Sally was correct in that there had been a case of butterscotch flavouring being withdrawn over health concerns',
Well she would have been correct if that is what she had said. They have just made something up and are defending that instead of getting her to answer for what she actually said. Very worrying behaviour.
Dame Sally indeed!
