So fed up with the batteries I got with the lavatube, I did some research and ended up getting 2 AW IMR 18650's. Having the same issue, I bought a 4000 mah and a AW 2900 mah battery and neither is giving spectacular results. I get less than a day out of them. I now have a theory its not the battery thats the problem but the cartomisers I am using might not be suited to the lavatube. I use Dual Coil low resistance 1.5 Ohm cartomisers at 4.2v. I have been told they draw too many amps from a Lavatube. I want to see the difference using a single coil 3 ohm cartomiser makes. Only problem is i use the xxxl Smok which holds 3ml liquid and is a doddle to refill. I cant find an equivalent Single coil 3 ohm cartomiser. Any suggestions?

Highs Lows Almost all e-liquids I've tried The Realis after a couple of weeks. The riva 1100 after a couple of months Atomisers in general Smokymisers and giantomisers Ref50 vanishing with my money The batteries in the lavatube kit Have to agree about the lavatube batteries I bought a cheap 4000 mah one as well and its even worse! I've bit the bullet and ordered an AW 2900 mah today and I'm hoping that will give me a whole day on a single charge.

Misses
- The Electronic Cigarette. My first ecig purchased from groupon. An analogue look alike. Complete rubbish but it got me into vaping.
- Titan Tank. A big improvement. So good it got me off smoking in a matter of days and so good i soon realised I wanted longer battery life and a bigger tank! Actually the atomisers in these are rock solid.
- The Rok Star. Soon got fed up with the air flow adjustment and unscrewing the tank by mistake. Everything is bespoke which means replacing atomises and batteries is expensive. Even with the air flow adjustment I could never get the draw how I liked it never mind get it to stay there. - Bud tank atomisers - on paper looked good. Nice big clear tank and very cheap. Had a couple and tried it on a few different batteries and never produced much vapour and the taste was always ruined by the taste of the cheap plastic mouth piece.
Hits
- the lavatube. Just fantastic. Great performance and total freedom of choice when it comes to atomisers and batteries.
- SD Key ring. Worth it just for the piece of mind it gives me. It means I wont have to resort to smoking ever, ever , ever even if I break or lose my lavatube.
- 510 XXXXL MEGA DUAL COIL CARTOMIZER. My current favourite. Big tank, just the right draw. Masses of vapour and flavour and a piece of cake to refill.
- 6ml Puff Tank. Great to have such a huge tank and looks good on a lavatube. Replacement cartomisers are quite cheap. For me the downside is the draw is too light and its a bit fiddly to refill.

Hi , I'm quite new to the world of vaping but it strikes me that its going to be a big thing in the future.
Here are a few thoughts to start things off. What do you think is going to happen in the next 10 years?
1. Nic Tax
Tobacco tax earns this government and governments over the world billions. I can only imagine more and more people converting to vaping and eventually the amount paid in tax is going to reduce. When that happens in big enough numbers I am sure we will start to see nicotine taxed in some way.
2. Vaping in the food industry
Ive got a sweet tooth and a lot of the flavours I vape are based on fruits and food. When vaping takes off in the main stream I can see the likes of Nestle and Cadburys selling non nicotine products in supermarkets. I could iamgine them marketing a health type product that has all the taste of foods without the calories.
3. Vaping in the health industy
A vaping device for the delivery of drugs. Must be a fairly efficient way to get drugs into the blood steam and its more pleasant than taking pills or medicine. I know they already have inhalers I mean something like a cartridge you pop into a pv that contains a decongestant or pain killer something like that
4. Main stream takeover
Once there is a big enough market the big companies like philips and sony will build the devices and the juice will be sold by cigarette companies

Try a couple of dry burns on the atomiser. Connnect it to the battery with no juice and blast it a couple of times.
If that doesnt work pop the atomiser in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer for 24 hours.
I have also read that soaking the atomiser in ionised water that has been heated in a microwave until hot also helps.
I've only tried this out on one atomiser and the freezer option seemed to work best.

I got an email from Rok Star about my problems. Here are their suggestions :
To fix the air flow problem simply set the airflow and then remove the airflow band completely. I've tried it and used a paper clip to fine tune and it is a lot lot better.
For the burnt atomiser problem he suggested attaching the atomiser to the battery on its own without the tank and then giving a few blasts on the battery button. I havent tried this yet.

Hi, has anyone worked out how to make the airflow ring stay put? Mine seems to be quite loose and never stays in the same position for very long. I am forever having to readjust it and what I thought was going to be a nice feature is turning out to be a pain. Also one of my atomisers ( not atty, I'm a noob ) has a developed a burnt taste after a couple of days. Any ideas how to prevent this happening and is there a way of cleaning it so I can use it again. After being quite happy with my Rok Star to start with I'm less impressed after a few days and now I just use batteries with other 510 atomisers and tanks instead.
